The company has a good customer service attitude, and I will certainly give them the benefit of the doubt and use them again.
Shocking customer service
Shocking customer service. Purchased a really small item on Saturday and was charged £7 for postage. After repeated calls and emails to be told Wednesday morning that the item would despatch the same day, it didn’t till the Thursday, god knows when it will turn up. I have paid over the odds for postage which is meat to be a 2 day service, to be told by a lady called Gosia (in the Thursday) that they can’t tell me about delivery timings despite the day before being told it would be on a next day delivery. Save the hassle and shop elsewhere…I just hope it turns up and I can sort the issue out

Not very well packaged
Not very well packaged, spade only had plastic wrap on head and handle. Arrived in one piece, good price and fairly quick.
AVOID
AVOID - I was sent the wrong product and they wouldn't arrange a collection or issue the refund despite emailing them several times.

Do NOT believe the advised delivery dates. I have been advised that they are basically guesses by Gosia in their “Customer Service” team and they should not be believed.
I experienced ABYSMAL service. I paid for express delivery on 29th March and was advised to expect delivery by 1st or 2nd April. That didn’t feel EXPRESS by any means but it was just in time to allow me to continue my project over the bank holiday weekend.
I emailed customer service on Tuesday 31st March as I had not received a delivery update. I received an automated email from the delivery company on 2nd April, supposedly the last day I should expect delivery advising to a delivery date of 7th April. I then emailed Power Tools Direct customer service twice explaining my severe disappointment and received no reply until AFTER receiving my delivery on 7th April advising “they do not guarantee delivery schedules”.
It appears my order was ignored until I prompted them and they just don’t care. Why was there no timely response to any of my emails? How did it take four days to arrange despatch of an EXPRESS parcel? Why do they advise delivery dates that they aren’t capable of meeting? If I could have rated zero stars I would have.

Delivery was long and for a product bearing the name Moore and Wright I am disappointed with the quality.
Competitive Price but Wildly Exaggerated Delivery Turnround Promise
Ordered a Clarke mig welder online on 29/3/26. Competitively priced and a 3 day turnaround was great as if I’m not working, I’m not earning👍. They duly charged my card in full, the same day. Unfortunately, the welder was finally dispatched 3 days later on 1/4/26. Another 3 days have since elapsed and my nice new mig welder is still not here. The last update I received on 2/4/26 says it should be here in another 2 days on Monday 6/4/26🤨. That will be a full week and a day after I ordered and paid for it. Annoyingly, their website still promises if I order another one tomorrow 5/4, it will be here by Wednesday 8/4!?! Yea. Right! I’ve had goods worth less than a tenner delivered from China faster. In the meantime, I’ve ordered AND received AND fitted a new torch wire feed liner, torch swan neck and liner and wire feed roller for my (previously) broken welder! Assuming my new welder finally does turn up on Monday, then Three stars awarded for price, ease of ordering and the speed they took my money. If only their delivery service was as speedy and they hadn’t enticed me with the false promise of three day delivery!🤷♂️
Update 6/4/26: Finally. My long awaited Delivery day!🤩…….Came and went! Nothing arrived! No update. NOTHING! Now ONE star! I’ll be asking for a refund tomorrow and will not be a repeat customer of a power Tools Direct!
Update 8/4/26: It finally ARRIVED yesterday - NINE days after I ordered and paid for it and SIX days after their promised delivery date! I’ve now ordered two spools of fluxed wire………from somewhere else (I can’t wait until August!)! It takes “mini spools” only and didn’t come with a short sample spool🤷♂️

The customer service here is appalling. I placed an order for two pairs of safety trainers on Friday night, expecting them by Wednesday. No tracking info was provided, so I had to chase it up myself on Tuesday.
I wasted half my Wednesday waiting around, only to find out they didn't even bother to ship the item until the day it was supposed to arrive! I replied stating that their incompetence had wasted my time and that customers should be informed of delays. The reply I got was dismissive and frosty, hidebound by 'T&Cs' with zero regard for the customer.
Easily the worst service I’ve dealt with in ages. No thanks at all to Gosia.

I needed it urgently before going away for two weeks where I needed to use it.
I specifically chose power tools direct (from several suppliers) because they offered a faster deliver option (premium delivery, AT EXTRA COST)
Order made online, early morning Wednesday 11th March 2026
Their delivery date range quoted as Friday 13th through Monday 16th March.
I needed it by lunchtime on Monday 16th.
FedEx tracking shows that shipment information was not even RECEIVED by FedEx UNTIL 48 hours later, the morning of Friday 13th, the first day of the expected delivery date range !
And yes, deliver did apparently JUST make the LAST date of that range, late afternoon.
By then, too late for me.
No point ordering a simple item, in stock, paying extra for express courier service, for it to arrive too late for use !!!
Why did it take ‘power tools direct’ more than 48 hours even to put the shipping info. through to FedEx, when the customer has paid extra for expedited delivery.
Will not order again from this company.
