Used to Be Good, Now a Broken Cash Grab

I paid ~$400 for Postly’s “unlimited” lifetime deal based on prior functionality and promises. It used to be a decent platform. It is no longer.

Current issues:
• Accounts randomly disconnect and immediately fail to reconnect.
• Repeated “no connectable channels available” errors across multiple platforms.
• Instagram and YouTube connect, then instantly disconnect.
• Support loops you through the same steps (clear cache, reconnect, retry) with no resolution.
• Core functionality depends on Facebook Pages even if you don’t intend to post to Facebook Pages, which is not clearly disclosed.
• Platforms are removed or changed after purchase (X/Twitter), with shifting explanations.
• “Unlimited accounts” is meaningless if none of the accounts reliably stay connected.
• UI claims channels are available, but APIs fail silently or revoke access immediately.

Support experience:
• Slow responses.
• Contradictory explanations.
• Responsibility pushed entirely onto “APIs” while the product itself remains unusable.
• Conversations abruptly ended without resolution.
• Legitimate concerns ignored once payment is already taken.

Bottom line:
Postly feels like it has shifted from a working social scheduler into a lifetime-deal cash grab. Features are marketed aggressively, but basic account connections do not work reliably. If you need a production-ready tool for managing multiple social accounts, this is not it anymore.

I cannot recommend purchasing Postly in its current state.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience, but we need to correct several inaccurate claims in this review so readers have proper context.

Postly does not randomly disconnect accounts. All social scheduling tools rely on third-party platform APIs (Meta, Google/YouTube, Instagram, X, etc.). These platforms control authentication and can revoke tokens, permissions, or access without warning. When this happens, reconnection is required across the entire industry, not just Postly.

The statement that Postly requires Facebook Pages to function is incorrect. Platforms inside Postly are independent. If a user wants to publish to Facebook, they connect Facebook. If they do not, they can simply use other supported platforms. The only exception is Meta’s own requirement where Instagram Business connections may require Facebook Page linking, which is a Meta rule enforced across all publishing tools.

Regarding connection errors such as “no connectable channels available,” these are typically caused by platform permission requirements, missing admin roles, expired tokens, or platform-side security enforcement. These are external authentication controls that no third-party tool can bypass.

Twitter/X was always offered under a Bring-Your-Own-API model. When X drastically restricted third-party API access and introduced very high API costs, this impacted the entire social scheduling industry. This was a platform policy change, not a Postly product removal.

“Unlimited accounts” refers to the number of accounts users are allowed to connect within supported platform APIs. It does not and cannot guarantee permanent authentication with third-party platforms that users or Postly do not control.

Our support team responded multiple times, investigated the reported issues, and provided the platform-required troubleshooting steps. When a platform blocks or revokes access, there is no internal workaround that any scheduler can implement.

Postly continues to support and expand integrations, and many customers successfully use the platform daily. We remain committed to improving reliability, transparency, and platform coverage.

We respect customer feedback, but we also believe it’s important to ensure reviews reflect accurate technical and platform realities.

Software and customer service are hit and miss...

I've given this software some time to fix it's issues. I purchased before the upgrade and had all of my posts scheduled out for a year. Lost them and received horrible customer service. Came back and the upgrade was better so started giving it a try again. It either works amazing or it is awful, so slow and nothing loads. I've tried multiple computers and my internet speeds are over 400mbps so that isn't the issue. Customer service is either great or crap. A couple of times Paul has ended my chat without even responding. The system says Paul ended he claims it times out. Regardless, it well over 20 minutes with him assigned to it and not a response before it ends. He knows he's not responding as he stated it wouldn't happen again. The jury is still out. But I've given it many opportunities before I posted a negative review in hopes they get it together.

There was a brief period of instability during a major infrastructure upgrade, which has since been fully resolved. Since the new dashboard launch, the platform has been stable and performing well for the vast majority of users.

Regarding support: chats automatically time out if there’s inactivity — they are not manually ended. We’ve explained this previously. We do our best to help every user, but repeated open chats without actionable follow-ups make it difficult to provide effective support.

Postly today is significantly improved compared to earlier versions, and we continue to invest heavily in reliability and performance. If the platform still isn’t a fit for your workflow, that’s completely fair — but the current system is not reflective of the issues described above.

It’s also worth noting that the account associated with this review continues to actively schedule and publish content on Postly, which reflects the current reliability of the system more accurately than past issues.

Used to be a great piece of software…

Used to be a great piece of software until the "updated" their platform.

They ended up deleting all of my scheduled posts, the platform now just seems to be missing features that were there before and now just simply dont work.

I contacted support about the issues with the posts going missing and recurring posts being delete from accounts and they said their dev team had issues with migrating them when they rolled out.

Rather than pull the pin on the deployment they rolled out anyway and have likely p!ssed off alot of customers.

The platform is pretty much not usable anymore and what ever go standing this company has built up has not been lost

DO NOT USE POSTLY!!!!! i have lost 3 months worth of scheduled work gone because of the stupid update. Can you believe a SCHEDULING app had an update and ERASED all scheduled work. Would have been ok if the update was worth it but it removed all synced accounts. Its terrible. The new update sucks.

Extremely dissapointed with postly

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Postly. They erased all of our workspaces and failed to migrate our clients’ accounts properly to their new platform. As a result, we lost all of our previously published posts as well as the scheduled posts for every client account. This caused major disruption to our business and damaged client trust.

The lack of preparation, accountability, and support throughout this transition was unacceptable. If you rely on social media scheduling and client management, I would strongly advise against using Postly.

Cheap Service, Costly Mistake

DONT USE THIS APP

DONT USE THIS APP. Use any other social media posting platform before. You might think to yourself, for this price it’s not bad and gets what I need done. Except whenever they update their platform even when it’s something as simple as the user interface, it will delete all of your scheduled work. Months of posts just lost to the void for a new pretty interface. No email or notification that an update was coming. Just logged in and all my work was gone. I reached out to support and all they could say is, “sorry for the frustration and for the extra work” it’s not just extra work, it’s months of work I now have to find a way to fit into my already busy schedule. This app is straight bullshit. Do not use if you want to keep your work.

To clarify, this was actually a last-minute accident during the platform update, not something intentional. We managed to restore the old data back, but the timing was very unfortunate. Ahead of the changes, we also sent out two emails—about three weeks apart—announcing the update and warning of possible disruptions. Unfortunately, it seems many users didn’t see those notices.

That said, we take full responsibility for the frustration this caused. We’re putting additional safeguards in place so that your scheduled work is never put at risk again during updates.

Your feedback matters, and even though this experience was rough, it’s helping us build a much stronger, more reliable platform going forward.

Unreliable and Frustrating Experience

I’ve been using Postly since late 2023, but really started relying on it in early 2024. By February 12th, I was already contacting support because scheduled posts weren’t publishing on some platforms. I never got a clear or useful answer.

I kept using the platform anyway, hoping to make my investment worthwhile. Over the past few months, I’ve been using it more intensively, and the number of errors is just unacceptable. My configuration is correct, yet I constantly see messages like “your post failed to publish”.

Since I post across many platforms at once, going back and manually re-publishing on the ones that failed completely defeats the purpose of having this tool in the first place.

Support told me to disconnect and reconnect the services. That did nothing. Then they asked me to record a video, which I took the time to do, commenting every detail. It cost me time, and I got zero follow-up.

Now, after yet another session where 3 out of 5 posts failed, support is once again suggesting I disconnect, clear my browser cache, and make another video. I’ve been stuck in this same loop since February 2024.

This service simply isn’t reliable. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Your “records” show nothing useful. I already went through the trouble of making a complete, detailed video (which was time-consuming and frustrating) and I never received any follow-up afterward. On top of that, your team clearly doesn’t share information internally, since the second person I spoke with had no idea what I was referring to.

If your so-called “records” were actually meaningful, you wouldn’t keep sending me in circles with the same ineffective steps (reconnecting, clearing cache, etc.) or asking me to record yet another video. I’ve already done what you asked, it solved nothing, and you’re still looping back to the same script.

This process is a complete waste of my time and proves just how unreliable your service really is.

I purchased a lifetime deal a year ago and today they said "Discontinuation of New Lifetime Deal Activations - Given these advancements, we have made a strategic decision to discontinue New Lifetime Deal activations."

They strategically stole my money. Terrible company and they do not honor their commitments or honor their promises made.

Furthermore, I lost clients using this service as it was underperforming. The second they made real improvements - they stopped honoring the promises made. Very dissappointing.
