I am blown away with the house numbers that I purchased. They were beautifully made and came with a mounting template. They were packed in a wooden box with hinges! I will be buying from Ponoma Steel again.

The extra cost for painting is…
The extra cost for painting is astronomical. They should supply self-tapping sheet metal screws to attach the mantle to the mantle bracket because the holes don't line up. Other than that, it's a nice product and added the look and protection we wanted on our fireplace/tv.

In first, many thanks for your time and the feedback.
The painted options require additional costs (we purchase primers, paints, sparyers, compressor, etc.), as a result painted options are more expensive than conventional ones.
btw.: Sometimes customers paint our shelves themselves and send us a video of their work. This is really cool, but it requires experience, time, and the procurement of materials and equipment.
As for the small screw-bolts, this should not be so, if you encountered any difficulties during installation and did not find a solution on our website:

Final results are great. Getting there not so much.
MOST IMPORTANT: This is a well made product and it looks great installed. That being said: There were several problems with shipping that required several emails to finally resolve. Email was answered quickly so I never felt like I was hanging and wondering. I would buy again and do recommend this product.

Stainless Steel blind shelves.
Their S/S blind shelves are of excellent quality. Unfortunately I have to give them 4 stars because they shorted me one shelf and had to replenish it from the Ukraine which took forever to get due to travel time and customs.

It is very important for us to know the opinion of our customers about our products and services. Sometimes (for example, the last shelf was damaged) we transport the shelf directly from our European factory. But this really takes time, and the client is already finishing his renovation process.
Therefore, we are increasing the number of sizes available in the warehouse,
and now there are more than 100 of them in our warehouse in Illinois!

We try to always ship on time, but during these holidays the logistics were terrible and unfortunately we've delayed shipments for our several customers . For this case, we have a special fund and we pay from it 1% for each day of delay. It's not much, but let's be honest, none of our logisticians have yet followed our example and compensated us for the delays.
Maybe this will change in 2021?😋

there are a lot of holes in the frame, etc.

Not only was the product absolutely…
Not only was the product absolutely gorgeous, the customer service blew my mind. I needed to have my shelves by friday for and install on Monday morning. Shelves were delivered on Thursday but i received the wrong length for my space. When i talked to their rep and told him of the situation, they solved the problem by driving the correct shelf (3 hours) to my home on Saturday so we could have installed on Monday. Seriously? Who does that? I was blown away. Will order from these guys forever. Tysm!

I needed a mantel for my outdoor living…
I needed a mantel for my outdoor living room fireplace. I searched many different sites to get the perfect mantle. Needless to say it was a bit confusing! Ponoma's site seemed a little, shall I say unbelievable...I was concerned that they could not not produce the exact size, finish and design that I wanted, especially for the price. If it's too good to be true... Well I am clearly telling everyone that What I ordered is what I received and in the timeline that they stated before I ordered. I just personally installed it myself. It was a breeze to install. I only wonder why I waited years to finally order the mantle!

Excellent company to work with. Amazing customer service. I purchased two 48” stainless shelves for my kitchen. One arrived dented—one email to the company and the issue was resolved.
The shelves are installed and they are exactly what I had pictured in my head. Beautiful! Would not hesitate to recommend Ponoma to anyone.

I ended up returning the item
I ended up returning the item, however the quality was good, but my fireplace was too big and too close. The product still held up to 20 minutes. WIth that said, I would recommend their product and the kindly reimbursed me and sent me a return label. Thanks team, I appreciate the customer service.

Indeed, you are faced with the daunting task of finding a screen for your powerful (36,000BTU) fireplace.
But you are on the right way as you have ruled out any combustible shelf options (made out of chipboard, MDF, wood, etc.) and are trying steel shelves lke our.
Hope you can find the most effective thermal shield for your powerful fireplace.
By the way, we sure, we offer the best thermal shields in the United States
with 2x 18Gauge (mm1.2) metal sheets.
That would be excellent, if you add an aluminum material inside the frame (we've sent a link where to buy it)
-this will increase the heat reflection from 80 to 90% (up to 3000BTU or less if use multilayer option) -please note, the design of our shelf allows you to insert an additional insulating material inside.
