Plus Music does it all

Plus Music provides a coordinated approach to promoting independent artists and their music: press, Spotify ads, social media, and they've given me amazing advice on how to get the music heard and get seen. All this for a much lower price than the more established legacy firms. They are responsive, friendly, and actually interested in me as an artist. Highly recommend.

Press and Tik Tok campaigns

We had a great experience working with Plus Music PR on both a press campaign and a TikTok campaign for Valborg. Communication throughout the process was excellent. Noor was fantastic to work with, she listened carefully to all of our feedback, was very attentive to our needs, and always followed up quickly. Her responsiveness and professionalism made the whole collaboration very smooth.

Both campaigns were well executed and delivered strong results. We especially saw great value from the press campaign, which gave us strong visibility and meaningful coverage.

Overall, we really appreciated the collaboration and the teams dedication to making the campaigns work as well as possible for us. We would definitely recommend Plus Music PR to artists looking for thoughtful and effective PR support.

Personal Service Across the Board

For us, the really important thing about Plus Music PR are the channels of communication. This isn't an agency where you pay a fee and they robotically get on with the job - this feels so much more organic, they're decent, real people who you can chat to and ask advice from and they're always happy to go that extra mile, that in our view is what really sets them apart from the others.

Song - ‘What We Wish For’

Our band invested £1200 (originally quoted £1800) in a targeted advertising package with Lewis's company, promising an 100,000 reach, encompassing TikTok, press, Spotify, and a ‘complimentary’ YouTube campaign. This effectively allocated £300 to each service.

The press coverage was limited to low-traffic review sites with repetitive content. The Spotify campaign yielded very weak results, with our song still remaining below 1000 plays. There was also problems with the Spotify campaign. We was told they would double our tic tock followers, this didn’t happen after 4 weeks so they offered an 4 week extension (after we complained, they seemed to be fine with the results) YouTube was the only platform where we saw satisfactory engagement, achieving over 10,000 views.

We encountered issues with the TikTok and Spotify campaigns due to repeated ad rejections. These Spotify rejections stemmed from a visible cigarette in our album art, a detail known to Lewis that was not communicated to us beforehand. As for ticktock, multiple ads keeps getting rejected and views remained low (targeted or not)

Following the initial four-week period, we raised concerns and requested a refund. Lewis offered an extension on the TikTok and YouTube campaigns, which we accepted. Despite the extension, results remained poor on tic tock. Upon inquiring about the allocation of our funds, we discovered that the company retains 50% of the payment you give them. I think this is a clue as to why the campaign didn’t preform as we expected.

Throughout our interactions, Lewis consistently provided justifications and excuses with unrealistic comparison's to our previous work. making productive dialogue challenging. Based on our experience, we question the authenticity of other reviews on this site and feel that the services provided did not align with the professional standards they claim to have.

Given the results—10,000+ YouTube views, 400+ TikTok followers, no significant change on Spotify, and minimal press engagement—we would not repeat this investment. The value derived from the £300 allocated to each service did not meet our expectations. In reality the budget was slashed In half. I understand they need to make a living but I think 50/50 is robbery and shows in black and white why we are not happy with the results.

£1200 for the above results is not worth it. No matter how you want to spin the ‘stats’ End of.

Lewis here, Director of Plus Music PR. I'm sorry you're disappointed with the outcome of this campaign; after all, I ran it personally and liaised with you and Ali throughout.

Starting with YouTube, from our comms, I know you were relatively happy with the results here. Our campaigns are designed to increase viewership, and we did, by quite some considerable margin, and I've no doubt you'll capitalise on that further on your next release.

Regarding press, all the publications delivered were sent to you in a short target list, prior to the campaign, before payment. I totally understand your views on engagement from those publications - but this is press in 2026. As per our proposals, press is not about followers, fans, or streams; it's about applying for funding, festivals, showcases, and verifications. Further to that, the mid-sized press achieved will be especially helpful when you guys are pitching for larger press on your next release - and although we do not expect to be your PR partner then, do send it to your next agency as it will help them leverage those bigger publications.

Previously, you used 3rd-party playlisting to grow streams in the short term, but, as is standard, those streams reverted to their previous levels once rotated out of a playlist. On Spotify, our approach differs from third-party playlisting. We focus on sustainable growth through advertising and algorithmic engagement rather than short-term spikes. At campaign close, listeners were up 140%, streams up 149%, saves up 95%, and user playlist adds significantly increased. Importantly, those trends have continued post-campaign. While total stream numbers may have been lower than those of playlist-based services, the goal was long-term momentum rather than temporary uplift.

Regarding TikTok, which I feel is the biggest issue with this campaign, I told you I was confident I could double your followers. In hindsight, I shouldn't have said this as this can't be guaranteed. Although we achieved 400+ followers, out of your total 914 followers, the results were not inkeeping with that statement. This is why I offered a 4-week extension, plus 2 weeks of YouTube ads as a goodwill gesture.

On ad rejections, the cover wasn't completed until after you'd paid - so I can't comment on that pre-campaign. We will be creating a T&C handbook for these ads going forward to help clients, based on your feedback.

There were times on this campaign where you used language like 'robbery', 'awful stats', and 'waste of time', and I think it's normal for an agency owner to push back when I feel we're making progress. We know every artist communicates differently, and actually, despite the discussed difficulties, I do feel we both worked together effectively.

Regarding budgets, we're transparent about ad spend during both the campaign and pre-campaign. We're a VAT-registered UK company with salaried staff, operational costs, and overheads.

In relation to your comment regarding our other reviews, basic due diligence will show these are from legitimate artists and artist teams who we helped on their journey.

Every campaign we run here at Plus Music PR is different, with some exceeding expectations, some inline, and as we can see in this instance, some that fall short in some areas. Undoubtedly, a big part of that was the expectation set pre-campaign by me, nobody else. I'm disappointed our campaign, and further extension, did not help you feel performance grew to a level you felt to be more satisfactory, and as this is our first one-star review from an active client, I'll be looking personally at what we and I can do to learn from this review, and our campaign together.

Successful first press campaign! Noor on top of it!

I did a press campaign and got some sweet features including one in CLASH magazine woohoo! It was a great way to debut my new project and build out our online presence. Noor was an awesome lead to have and answered all my questions along the way.

I knew I could trust Plus Music PR

5 stars to the whole team. When Noor first reached out I had already dealt with a previous PR issue from another company and I almost turned her away but as real as she kept it over the phone, I knew I could give this company a chance and they sure did deliver. We ran a press campaign for a previous single of mine with a goal to aim small just to get our feet in the water and unexpectedly landed 2 big placements that we hadn't originally planned for, as well as a bundle of smaller placements. Overall, I was shocked and excited all in all because this is my first campaign with Noor and the Plus Music team, and having such successful placements on a first time run has really made me trust that this company (while not promising crazy results) will deliver meaningful work that'll definitely have you coming back to work with them on a basis. I can honestly say I've found the PR company I want behind my releases for the rest of my career. Big shout out and much love to Noor and the team for excellent communication and raw feedback throughout the entire process!

New band. First singles

Plus Music helped us launch two singles. We’re a very new band so it was a challenging brief!

Feedback and communication were excellent and Lewis was very flexible about allowing us to re-direct chunks of the agreed budget to respond to changing situations as the campaign developed.

They were very clear about what they could and couldn’t do which is important if you’re on a small budget and don’t have much PR experience.

And they’re a very friendly, helpful bunch! We’ll be working with them again this year.
