I purchased a LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION to Plural Insight last year.

Today they send me a letter "Cancel my lifetime subscription" without returning the fee. Here is the full email.

Dear customer,

Thank you for using our A Cloud Guru (ACG) product. We wanted to let you know we are launching new packages that now include the best of tech and cloud, all within one platform. These new packages include integrating A Cloud Guru into the Pluralsight platform.

Our records show that you have a ACG course lifetime access account. As part of integrating A Cloud Guru into the Pluralsight platform, we are terminating your lifetime course access license to the software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering of A Cloud Guru on February 1, 2025 due to the plan being retired. This move is made in accordance with the termination for convenience clause as outlined in section 14.2 of our Individual Terms of Use.

Please note the following details regarding the termination:
Termination date: The termination will occur February 1, 2025. After that date, you’ll no longer have access to the lifetime course.
Data retrieval: We may delete any personal data associated with your personal A Cloud Guru account after the termination date and aren’t responsible for any loss or deletion thereafter.
Outstanding obligations: You have no outstanding payment obligations related to the SaaS offering prior to the termination date.
With this new change, we’d like to invite you to try our new Pluralsight packages. Be on the look out in March for a promo code to try our new Complete package for free, which includes everything Pluralsight has to offer.

We apologize for any inconvenience this termination may cause and appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please chat with us.

I purchased a Gift of Pluralsight (Individual Premium - 1 year), expecting to access their services seamlessly. However, the experience has been a complete nightmare. The redemption code they provided does not work.

I reached out to their support team for help, but they are utterly useless. Despite multiple attempts to contact them via phone and submitting a support ticket, I have not received any meaningful response. It seems like they have no intention of resolving the issue or even acknowledging the complaint.

Pluralsight portrays itself as a reliable platform, but my experience proves otherwise. They took my money and failed to deliver the promised service. Their lack of customer support and accountability makes them nothing short of scammers.

I strongly advise anyone considering Pluralsight to think twice before trusting them with your money. Avoid this one unless you want your money stolen.

Pluralsight content is old and out of date. They are inflexible with cancelling contracts. It is not worth the money, and I would recommend everyone steer clear and try one of their competitors.

Nobody in Pluralsight could refund my 187 $ transaction and none of the agents in customer service could find out the email account associated with Pluralsight, I reached out many times via chat and email and no one took any initiative to help out or go the extra mile.

Pathetic customer service and now I have to block my credit card and order a new one going thru much hassle on my end since I am automatically being charged without using the service.

Worst customer service.

I have just taken a subscription of 1150 promising me access to 7000+ tutorials, however after I tried access any trainings, it keeps asking me to upgrade to again 1149 even after multiple logins.Support has been terrible and non-responsive

Diabolically bad. Signed up (via a vendor) for a years worth of Pluralsight for my team. Took several weeks for the vendor to get a quote and several weeks for them to process the order and send the license through once paid. As soon as we logged in we noticed with horror that we had been granted access to the instance of a completely separate organisation with a vaguely similar name. Exposing the names and learning data of their employees to another organisation. I reported this to Pluralsight account manager and then chased it over, and over, and over. Eventually we were given access to another instance, but our licenses were not carried across, we didn't have the correct product assigned, and the trial eventually expired. I chased up again with our account manager only to find he'd left or been fired and a new account manager had taken his place. The new account manager, instead of following my simple instructions to resolve the situation, decided to once again assign my team to the other completely unconnected organisation, putting us back to square one and probably breaking several data compliance laws in the process. After four months of being unable to use the service, I gave the new account manager one final chance to fix before leaving for a vacation. When I returned, nothing had changed, two weeks had passed and we were still unable to use the service. I've never seen anything like it. Avoid this organisation like the plague!

Trash company. Sending me marketing emails I never signed up for, while offering no clear cut method to unsubscribe (illegal in the US).

In an effort to address it, I tried to call their support number - except even though they provide a phone #, their is no support available, only a voicemail advising people to ‘email them’, them they immediately hang up on the caller.

First, they are a rip-off, second their customer service is 0 stars.
I had to use them as my employer Bell Canada made it mandatory, however you get better quality of courses on Udemy!
They do not want to support you even when making money! I requested support and Taneja Sambhav, if even a real person, has never showed up to the Zoom meeting they set up with me at 11:30PM, as that is like 9:30 in India.
Not worth a single look, forget about consideration...

Avoid Pluralsight at any cost. Do not buy anything from them because you won't be able to cancel your paid plan. They are crooks and thieves.

I canceled the subscription, and they are still sending me invoices, threatening the collection agency if I don't pay.

This is extremely sick corporate tactic. Similar like Adobe, you also can't cancel without paying a fee - all these corporations are behaving increasingly aggressively.

Avoid.

I was introduced to pluralsight by my company in 2016. At that time they had videos on so many topics, Kotlin, Kafka android development, Flutter, React etc. Videos were very consistent in delivering the contents and it was fun to learn something new every week even if that learning adds no business value to my profile.

Over the time somehow Pluralsight started retiring courses for no obvious reasons. As of now if you browse thru the courses, you will find they are heavily inclined towards AWS. Kubernetes -> setting up cluster in AWS, docker -> running docker on Aws, Python, Run Python on AWS, Kafka -> how to get Kafka up and running on AWS... React-> how to get your first react app up and running on AWS...

My god, not everyone uses AWS. not everyone is a fan of AWS. why pluralsight is pushing AWS so much?

After retaining my membership for years, it was time to relinquish as I'm not interested in AWS. Other contents are clearly limited. They keep on adding bells and whistles to their platform not paying any attention to the content.

I'd recommend Udemy or if you want better content and a vast array of topics, go for O Reilly. They not only have video courses, but books and also training sessions with high rated and the last time I knew they also added a playground to try out the code, online.

I was surprised by the negative feedback. I signed up for a 10-day free trial today and received clear information that if you don't cancel within 10 days, you will be charged. Some users said it's impossible to cancel, but I found a "cancel" button in my account, which worked fine. The tutorials also seems really good to me.

Perhaps there is some confusion about reading the pop-up messages and emails from Pluralsight?

It is not possible to remove payment details or cancel a business subscription on the website. They make you "email your contact" who doesn't get back to you for weeks.

I've had to point out their PCI obligations.

Just no.

I was just considering a trial, and it wasn't obvious how long this would last for, so I thought I'd try and ask (I later found it's 10 days / 200 mins of use, supposedly - although people complain about being charged off the bat).

I tried to use the chat bot to ask them. Two issues:

1) They ask relentless questions before you can chat to a (supposed) person. If I'd continued, I think they would have asked my social security number and names of my pets!

2) The chat window loses focus every time they reply. You have to click in just the right area to type a counter-reply. Such poor coding makes you wonder what their courses will be like and who they're hiring!

I am avoiding at the first hurdle, especially now reading some of the other experiences on here. I miss the days of TrainSignal who were actually good (before they were bought by this lot)

I would strongly recommend to avoid dealing with this company. They hide behind their T&C's in a very petty way, not at all in the spirit of business or being a human.

I started my journey with Pluralsight's standard plan and quickly upgraded to the premium due its effectiveness. Now, as I enter my second year, I've not only renewed my subscription but also discovered unparalleled value in Pluralsight's offerings compared to other learning platforms.

I noticed that my PowerShell skills have been dramatically improved, and became a core skill for me. I started automating processes for my organization, and my team and seniors have recognized my skills. As a result, I have become a member of the automation team. In essence, Pluralsight has become a household name in my lifelong learning journey.

Just trying a Wireshark course but it was missing the exercise files, now im waiting for support to get back to me....not a great start.

I must admit they have made many improvements recently and I am enjoying the updated content. Keep it up and good job.

Thieves - sign you up as auto renew and debit your card without warning and you cannot get your money back. Honestly just thieves.

Free trial is a scam! They debit your card immediately and then They tell you they cannot issue refunds! I asked them to delete my data and issue a refund. They deleted the data and claimed they cannot issue a refund because my data has been deleted and cannot be undone! Thrives! I don’t even use the site or find it useful. Terrible. Do not bother with what they call a free trial. And get this - they charge you for an annual subscription so it’s very heavy. And they cannot return your money. I will report this to the highest levels until I get my money back!

The company inexplicably closed my account, despite the fact that I purchased a year long subscription only 4 months ago. It's impossible to reach a human being. Calls to their support number, 801-784-9007, are forwarded to an automated message instructing the user to email. Then the connection is terminated.
I have yet to receive a response from customer support from the email I sent. I will contact my credit card company and dispute their charge. It doesn't matter how great the courses are if the company just takes your money and can't stand behind its product.
