Just my opinion - have THE_INSTRUMENT and WHATTHEKEY - really never used for the production. May bee lack of knowledge how to use - but for me it is overprocessed sound with bad interface and inusable custom dir for soundbanks (different drive). But that is only my opinion :)

I was looking for something to help me figure out chords. What a find in buying WHATTHEKEY 3. This vst plug in is a complete gem for me. It has been the closest I have even seen getting chords and not that jumbled mess you have to spend time. With the plug in loaded, just add a audio file, let it record the sound, drag the midi to your DAW for editing.

I recently purchased Granulator, and I'm really impressed. It has a beautiful interface, it's incredibly easy to use, and it makes the workflow fast and intuitive.
I'm sure it will boost my creativity and add a fresh new flavor to my productions. I definitely recommend it, have fun!

It was exactly what I was looking for, not being musically trained and trying to figure out the chords of the sample I wanted as midi, I could drag the sample in and get the results straight away, to then use and change to work for my midi chords I had in mind.

Hey guys I ran into an issue the other day where the plugins would not install. Phil reached out to me after I emailed him but we could not figure it out. so in a tantrum moment I wrote a bad review. I figured out what was wrong.
I'd like to apologize for the bad review. these plugins are freaking awesome Phil,,,,thank you my dude!!!!

What I really like about these plugins is how easy they are to use. The website includes helpful tutorial videos that make it quick and straightforward to get started, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced producer.

Another major advantage is the licensing system: you can authorize both your laptop and your studio computer, allowing you to work seamlessly whether you’re in the studio or on the move. Unfortunately, not many plugin companies offer that level of flexibility and convenience.

Different EQ, in a good way, good quality with a nice interface

I find the videos easy to follow along with. There are videos for every step of the process in DJing and music Production. These videos are all high quality productions created by experienced people who get the message across clearly.

12 hour mix-time down to 4 hours. Just revealing those pesky resonant frequencies alone is worth the price–or even way more–since there isn't a plugin on the market that will do that. "Radio-ready" is not self promo here–its a fact and Phil nailed it. I wasn't sure of the quality of the plugin-processing (EQ, Compression) but the end result reminded me of the Scheops Channel strip plugin from Waves without all the time needed.

I think u need more marketing. knew about u from zooming on a Marlon hoffstadt stream and it was still difficult to find u.

The instrument_2 is changing the way I make music! (in a GREAT way) its revolutionary.

Ich habe mir Schmoother geholt zum Testen…ich bin mega zufrieden! Einfache Handhabung und perfektes Ergebnis ohne große Kenntnisse zu haben…mit anderen Plugins für mich unmöglich! Werde mir definitiv noch weitere Plugins holen!

Great value and tools, THE eq is very convenient and made like a plug in by an engineer and producer because it was. There is no better way to do a final mix than to see all the frequencies at the end and visually see, along with hearing with you ears, to see what space they are occupying!

Phil’s plugins are genuinely impressive — intuitive, creative tools that have real value for music production at a great price point. I’ve enjoyed using them and would recommend the products themselves without hesitation.
That said, customer support is essentially non-existent. I’ve tried reaching out multiple times to make a simple account change (email address update) and have received zero response — not from support, not from Phil directly. For a one-person operation, I understand bandwidth is limited, but ignoring basic account requests is frustrating and erodes trust in the platform long-term.
Great products, but buyer beware if you ever need help post-purchase.

I received this from Phil Speiser on October 4, 2025, (see below) and followed all of his instructions to the letter.
By purchasing his plugin, THE_Strip2, on that specific day, he promised a free update to THE_Strip 2.5 when it came out the following week. Well, it's been over 5 months and I have heard or received nothing.

Since he does not provide trial versions of his plugins, he promises a full refund if you return a purchased plugin within 30 days. So if you returned a Phil Speiser plugin within the 30 day period, I would wonder what the odds are that you would actually receive the refund? As his track record of keeping his promises is suspect, I would wonder if he would keep this promise.

To be honest, I do like Phil's plugins and I do use them. But it's difficult for me to trust him to keep any promises.

Pessima politica. Ho acquistato The Instrument a prezzo pieno. Di punto in bianco è stato "interrotto" e nonostante lo avessi pagato, il tipo mi obbliga a comprare la versione successiva come upgrade. Da che mondo è mondo gli upgrade sono opzionali e non obbligatori, se faccio la versione 2, non significa che la 1 debba smettere di funzionare. Nè Native Instrument, nè alcun fornitore di VST usa una politica di questo tipo. E' al limite della truffa. Sconsigliatissimo, se avete acquistato il 2 buona fortuna, smetterà di esistere non appena farà il 3 e cosi via, soldi buttati.
