Almost success but no trust!
Everything went so well, that is until a very expensive injector pen failed to work, no support, no replacement and no refund - now badgering me for a reorder!
No chance, good weight loss but trust now lost - reliable progression is more important than relying on a poor supplier!
Shockingly bad
Shockingly bad. Never have items in stock and frequently mess up orders.
I’ve stopped using them now and have my repeat prescription sent elsewhere.
They don’t have enough staff and queues are always huge.

A bad chemist with bad staff
I really don’t usually leave reviews on businesses especially negative ones, but I’ve been to the Asda chemist in Washington 3 times over the past two weeks and every single time I was served by a miserable person. The first two times it was by a fairly young lady who didn’t even make eye contact with me and I had to ask her 3 times to get her to remember my name for the prescription. Today was even worse, this man who I think was probably the pharmacist was really really slow in coming to serve me. He knew I was there and he ignored me for ages. When I did get seen it was strange and I felt like a naughty child being told off at school….. just because I couldn’t remember the name of the medication I needed. I ended up using Google to check and yes it took me a few minutes but there was no one else waiting to be seen and he didn’t exactly look busy. I’m an older gentleman so yes it probably takes me longer than average to use technology but this shouldn’t effect the quality of service in a chemist.
My wife and I will not be coming back to ASDA pharmacy and we’ve also decided to get out food shopping from Sainsburys as the staff there are much more polite and can’t do enough for you. Avoid this chemist and it’s terrible members of staff
Terrible customer care
I have received absolutely terrible customer service from this pharmacy at The Galleries, in Washington. I suffer with chronic migraines, as diagnosed by a Consultant Neurologist and my GP has referred me to a specialist, who I saw yesterday. He has put me on 8mg of Candesartan, but told me that it’ll take several weeks before it starts to reduce the frequency and severity of my migraine headaches, which are very severe.
Up until this point, and after seeing two different GP’s, I’ve been buying Nurofen Plus, as instructed by my doctor. Unfortunately, I have now been refused service, on the grounds of the medication being addictive due to containing codeine phosphate. On a few occasions, I’ve been dealt with by a little, Indian pharmacist, who is possibly the rudest, least caring man I’ve met in recent years. His advice - just take paracetamol and see your doctor. I’ve explained that I’ve seen two doctors and now a specialist and that I just need to get through the few remaining weeks, but he wouldn’t serve me, leaving me in pain, distressed and obviously unable to see a doctor for days.
I’m a qualified healthcare professional and I know, only too well, what pharmacists are and are not allowed to do, and I really feel like this man is just getting off abusing the little power he has. I have offered to show him my appointment updates, on my phone, but he couldn’t have cared less. I’m a firm believer in that people who work in healthcare should be caring and empathetic, so I just don’t understand this man’s poor attitude. He knows only too well that a migraine cannot effectively be treated with paracetamol and he’s acting like I’ve not bothered to get the appropriate help.
I’m very angry and disappointed and may yet raise a formal complaint re: this man and his complete lack of care and professionalism, not to mention his rude behaviour.
Thank you
Dr. Robinson
1 Hour 10 Mins for a Prescription
This is the last time Im going to use this pharmacy. It was closed when I arrived at 16.35 (16.30-17.00), so i hung around as my prescription had been sent there by the doctor. They opened when the Pharmacist was banging on the blinds for them to let her in. I then waited to be served by the most miserable man Ive ever come across. I was informed that it wouldnt be ready for 5-10mins. I asked if I would have to queue again. He said know. I returned 10mins later to a large queue, which i had to queue in because he didnt even make eye contact with me until i got to the front of the queue. All in all to collect a prescription 1hour 10mins. Never ever again.
Sutton in Ashfield
Sutton in Ashfield. Staff unprofessional and have very little knowledge. Women on shift, Karen, how fitting, was rude and confrontational. Very miserable woman. Pharmacist on duty, a woman whose name I didn’t catch was also uninterested and provided very poor customer service.
Worst pharmacist
The Lowestoft branch is useless, some days not open because pharmacist not shown up and other times staff just watch from hatch laughing and chatting rather than serve
Stay well away from this pharmacy
Asda Pharmacy at Morley has got gradually worse over the last year. There staff use to be helpful and polite. Now you are left standing at the counter whilst they ignore you. Today I have been to collect my medication only to be told that even though they have had my prescription for 4 days it is stood in a back log awaiting sign off by the pharmacist and I will need to go back. I have been told this numerous times before. I have now taken action and changed my requested pharmacy to a pleasant, polite and helpful one! I will be staying away from Asda pharmacy in Future!!!
I feel transparent in this pharmacy
I feel transparent in this pharmacy, I have left several times without what I have needed after simply being ignored.
Was given a used injection
Was given a used injection. I provided all the evidence of a used pen immediately. every email is making a different story, they refused to help or take the product back and give me a refund. Very dangerous acts here. Do not waste your money pr take a risk with them
ASDA PHARMACY LANGLEY MILL
ASDA PHARMACY LANGLEY MILL
Stood in a queue with 2 customers in front of me yesterday morning waiting to be served.
I’m shocked that I stood for a good 10 minutes before walking away. The 3 members of staff totally ignored us and didn’t even make eye contact never mind say something polite like we will be with you in a couple of minutes.
I’m also shocked to see so many other comments on here saying basically saying the same thing.
The staff should feel ashamed of themselves, they looked totally miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there, if they are as unhappy as they looked they should find alternative jobs. If they won’t leave they should be sacked as their level of customer service is appalling.
I don’t know who is responsible for them, Asda, The NHS or someone else but whoever it is they really need to make some staff changes as it’s the worst customer service I’ve experienced in many years.
Awful customer service
Awful customer service, arrived at the pharmacy at 4.45pm to member of staff serving a customer she took her prescription and told the lady she would order her prescription. I was to be told they are closed and to return at 5pm. I returned at 4.57pm was quietly waiting and walked passed me saying NHS rules we don’t open until 5pm at no point did I ask the lady to serve me, I was sending a work email on my phone. She went on to tell me my son’s prescription wasn’t ready to which it was.
"Im asking the questions here" - Faizan 2026
Similarly to so many of these reviews, I experienced awful customer service, and notably from this named chap Faizan, who seemed to enjoy the power trip of working behind he desk.
1) held a big queue waiting to answer someone's queries who just turned up on the other side of the counter - ignored me when I objected.
2) Asked me to move back to the waiting sign, which granted I had missed, but I was stood in front of it because the entire line before me had been waiting there, so im presuming he took Umbridge to me complaining about the waiting time.
3) He asked me more questions than I had ever been asked before. When I complained and asked why, he literally used the phrase "i am asking the questions here". And then when he repeated a question and I answered with "as I said before", he said "you dont need to say that do you? So I will ask it again"...unreal power trip and patronising.
When i told him that he'd already asked that question he told me that he hadn't and that he "wouldn't admit fault" because he'd done nothing wrong.
I then paid for my item put my hand out for it, but he held on to it for another minute telling me that it can be addictive.
Total abuse of power in a position that requires some delicacy and conflict management

Went in on a Saturday with my little boy due to an ear infection starting early hours, pharmacist wouldn’t even look at him and told me it will
Clear up on its own. He suffers bad ears and is under ENT. Went to another chemist, they saw my child and prescribed antibiotics as there was discharge.
Absolutely shocking service in this Asda pharmacy, should
Just have a sign up saying ‘can’t be bothered’
A First!
Needed a lactose free PPI for which I had a prescription but would not order one in for me because the brand name of the medication was not on the prescription. This is a first - never had medication brand name on any prescription. It was just an excuse as they couldn't be bothered to order it in. Staff are sullen and unhelpful - avoid Bury St Edmunds, Asda pharmacy like the plague!
I visited Asda Pharmacy this evening at… Harrogate
I visited Asda Pharmacy this evening at approximately 7:35 pm. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.
If it were possible to give zero stars, I would. The member of staff behind the pharmacy counter was one of the rudest people I have encountered in my 67 years. Her attitude towards customers was completely unacceptable and left me feeling shocked and upset.
Customer service is an important part of any pharmacy, and I believe the standards displayed this evening fell far below what customers should expect. Asda should be ashamed that this level of service is being provided in one of its stores.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the issue so that other customers do not have a similar experience.
