So far, I feel the Academy is completely worth it. My 4 stars (instead of 5) is because i feel they overpromise professional engagement with superstars. I did not expect Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, D... Vis mer

Lots of room for improvement!
The community is great, the lessons are somewhat industry standard and there are a few language (& captioning) issues plus the presentation slides are riddled with spelling and grammatical errors which makes it hard to follow sometimes, even for someone with experience in Music Production and DJing. The Lessons can be a bit vague at times and the important parts I was looking forward to (navigating the industry & networking resources, etc.) Seem like an afterthought in the entire course curriculum.
Finally, I personally feel like the admin are self serving at times and not as responsive /diligent as I expected. The feedback and communication is far from the standard of a Professional Music Academy, and the constant changing of Online events / sessions is a huge disappointment, especially for someone with a busy schedule that has paid to be informed/educated at the convenience of others.
Finally, I do feel like a lot more can be done with the overall approach with the app/platform itself to make the UI/UX more friendly and efficient, but thats my opinion as a Design Professional.

Christopher, this is the kind of review we sit down with rather than reply to quickly, so thank you for the precision.
The spelling and captioning issues are real, known, and being worked through by the content team; you're right that they undercut lessons that deserve better, and there's no version of this reply that excuses typos to a professional. On the industry and networking material feeling like an afterthought: that's sharp feedback, because navigating the business is supposed to be a pillar here, not a footnote, and the education team will see this framing exactly as you wrote it. Session changes we'll own too: a global calendar sometimes forces reschedules, but we understand that for someone planning a busy life around them, "sometimes" is already too often.
And since you offered your view as a design professional: we'd genuinely take more of it. If you're open to sharing specifics on where the platform's UX falls short, please open a ticket about that inside the help center of the campus.

Great platform to learn
So far it has been easy to access the platform, the connections and the resources provides are so helpful; about the tutors and the lessons are so great that I totally recommend to any interested in music.

Jorge, thank you for this. "Easy to access" might sound like a small compliment, but it's one we work hard for, so it's good to hear the door opened smoothly and everything behind it delivered. Tutors, resources, connections: that's the full stack working as intended. Welcome aboard, and enjoy the journey 🙌

Very helpful lessons
Very helpful lessons and the lessons are very well structured. We have learned thus that we haven't learned anywhere else. We would recommend this platform to everyone!😄

Svar fra Pete Tong DJ Academy
Thank you both, and we love that this one arrives as a "we": learning together is honestly the best way to do it, built-in feedback and someone to celebrate with. "Things we haven't learned anywhere else" is exactly what the courses are for, so hearing it land means a lot. Have fun out there, the two of you 😄

Be willing to outwork everyone
The cast of master minds the academy has
The academy is really here for the long shot and to transcend, but none of the campus’s content will be useful if you don’t put into work everyday ON YOUR OWN (that’s the most difficult part)

Svar fra Pete Tong DJ Academy
Alejandro, frame this one and hang it in the studio. You've written the most honest review on this page: the courses, the tutors, the talent pool, all of it is fuel, but the engine is you, every single day, with nobody watching. That's the part no academy can sell and no student can skip. The ones who get this are the ones who make it, so we'd say you're further along than you think. Keep outworking everyone 🔥

Grazie Luca! And you've touched the thing we're proudest of: pros and emerging artists growing in the same rooms. That mix is the point, because the newcomers get the shortcuts and the veterans get the fresh energy. Glad you're in it 🙌

Best journey so far
i started my music journey with the academy and learned so much things, in production, djing and mix & master. Started from 0 and now i can tell, by the things i achieved so far that i'm happy to be a member of this academy. Couldn't imagine a better scenario. Is not only a place to learn but also a place to share as a community and this makes it way more friendly than just watching videos online casually. It is so well done that i can tell no other places can do a better job than PTDJA

Andrea, "started from 0" and look at you now, across production, DJing and mix & master, all three. That's not a small thing, that's a producer being built from the ground up, and the fact you can already point to what you've achieved says the work is yours. You nailed why the community matters too: sharing beats watching videos alone, every time. Grazie di cuore for being part of it, and keep climbing 🔥

The site is well constructed and easy…
The site is well constructed and easy to use especially the classes. The community aspect could be tightened a bit. Overall seeing the growth has been very cool

Rachel, thank you, and "easy to use, especially the classes" is lovely to hear, because a smooth ride through the lessons is exactly what we build for. On tightening the community side: fair, and noted properly, it's the part we keep iterating on. And "seeing the growth has been very cool" might be our favourite line here, because you've been around long enough to watch it happen. Cheers for growing with us 🙌

I have been scammed by Pete Tong dj…
I have been scammed by Pete Tong dj academy. I have subscribed for the dj course, for beginner and after being charged for the price of 49euro (3 months) I never received any email with log in details and access to the course. nothing! I have been trying to reach out to the support team, no luck. they do not respond, except for the bot, which is useless. I am now on a dispute with my credit card issuer. Pete tong academy is a scam!!

Ciao Carmelo, thank you for flagging this, and we're genuinely sorry. Paying for a course and then never receiving your access is not acceptable, and being met by a bot instead of a person made a bad situation worse. That's on us. We want to locate your account and put it right: please open a support ticket inside the help center of our campus, and a member of the team, will pick it up personally and sort both your access and the charge. For anyone reading: access details are sent automatically at signup, and when that fails our job is to fix it fast, refund included where a charge went wrong. We fell short here and we intend to make it right.

Jake, cheers for this. "Well laid out and easy to navigate" is music to us, that's a lot of quiet work behind the scenes paying off. And you've spotted the thing that makes the difference: the members. A supportive, active community is what turns a campus into a place you actually want to log into. Glad you're one of them 🙌

Hvala, Luka! Short and sweet, and we'll take it. "Helpful stuff + great community" is pretty much the whole recipe, so glad it's landing that way. See you on the Campus 🙌

Dank je, Desiree! "Bigger steps in your career" is exactly the frame we love, because that's what all of it is for: the community, the info, the opportunities, all pointed at the next level. Glad you're using it that way. Keep climbing 🙌
Unreal
Unreal. This is a fantastic course, especially if you're motivated and buy in. Got me to film my first ever set, start releasing tracks and embracing social media - while upping my production game!

Svar fra Pete Tong DJ Academy
Malmström, this one's got everything: first set filmed, tracks out in the world, production levelling up, and social media conquered (the scariest one for most of us, let's be honest). You named the secret too, "if you're motivated and buy in", the course lights the path, you did the walking. Buzzing to see where you take it next 🔥

Amazing guidance and opportunity
So far my experience has been amazing the structure of the courses offers you the knowledge to achieve your goals small or big and the unreal platform it has with possible changing opportunities

Svar fra Pete Tong DJ Academy
Derek, thank you, this is great to read. You've put your finger on something we care about a lot: structure that works whether your goal is small or huge, because both deserve a real path. And "life-changing opportunities" isn't an overstatement, that's genuinely what we're building the talent pool and label connections to create. Delighted you're feeling it already. Enjoy the ride 🙌

Obrigado, Vas.Co! Three words, three pillars: the contests, the learning, the people. Honestly that's the whole academy in one line, and hearing all three land together is the best kind of feedback. See you in the next contest 🔥

contagiously cool ! Content is cool, Crew and community also top shelf. It's a very pleasant way of learning oneself into the industry

Gavril, "contagiously cool" might be the best three words on this whole page, we're stealing that energy. Content, crew, community all top shelf: that's the trio doing its job. And "learning oneself into the industry" is a lovely way to put it, because that's exactly the journey. Glad you're on it 🙌

Rounding my Knowledge
I Am having a great time learning many secrets of electronic music production, mixing and mastering.
After years of producing music I am finally achieving the results I wanted since I took this road years ago.

Svar fra Pete Tong DJ Academy
This is the sweet spot right here: years of producing, and now the results finally match the vision. That gap between what you hear in your head and what comes out the speakers is the hardest one to close, so knowing the mixing and mastering material helped you close it is exactly why it exists. You did the years; we're just glad to be there for the breakthrough. Keep going 🔥

It's a fantastic and incredibly…
It's a fantastic and incredibly enriching experience with plenty of opportunities and high-quality tutors and teachers. The recently developed DJ and production courses are very informative and professional. I highly recommend this training to all young DJs and producers who want to launch their careers in the music industry. Thank you PTDJA for this wonderful adventure.

What a lovely note to read, thank you. "High-quality tutors" is something we're proud of, because getting artists who've actually lived this to teach it well isn't a given, and hearing the new DJ and production courses land as professional means the years of work behind them paid off. And "wonderful adventure" is the perfect word, because that's what a career in this music should feel like. Grazie a te for being part of it 🙌

Highly Recommended!
First, the platform runs smoothly. There are no glitches. Apart from this, there are clear instructions and a roadmap on how to consume the information before you get started, and you don’t get lost. The lessons are also very clear and easy to follow. I have a background already in music production but I have picked up a lot of information from the course that I couldn’t have come across elsewhere. I also see that the school is coming up with ways to help students with moving forward in their actual career, not just learning the skills. Highly recommended!!

Miaow, this is such a thorough one, thank you for taking the time. A couple of things jump out. "The platform runs smoothly, no glitches, you don't get lost" is exactly the experience the roadmap is built to give, so it's great to see it working. And coming from someone already producing, "information I couldn't have come across elsewhere" is the compliment we chase hardest. You also spotted where we're heading: the career side, not just the skills, because knowing how to move forward in the industry is half the battle. Highly appreciated right back 🙌

Just awesome
Just awesome. Surgically precise information & I couldn't be more thrilled with the lineup of 'old' faces from my record box (rekordbox) and a few new ones.
Im having fun doing what I love & this is helping me do it more often haha.
Thanks!

Hermetik, "surgically precise" is going straight on the fridge, love that. And ha, the rekordbox pun did not go unnoticed. But the line that matters most is the last one: having fun doing what you love, more often. That's the whole point, honestly, everything else is just in service of that. Keep the good times rolling 🎧
