Absolutely the WORST company I have…
Absolutely the WORST company I have ever purchased a rare book from. They didn't fill out the paper work correctly. They were lazy and inexperienced in filing out a simple commercial invoice. I has to contact them MANY times to ask them to do their job correctly. They advised me that all was completed correctly and the shipment would clear customs. Turns out, they did NOTHING. I had to go back and forth with DHL multiple times and figure all of this out myself. Two months later, I am still trying to get this cleared. Something that could have been cleared in the first week if filled out correctly. Absolutely the worst. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

Dear Ally,
We're sorry that your shipment is still in Customs. However, we have tried at every step to have it released, and have been in regular communication with both you and the courier company, and supplied all the information and paperwork that we as the shipper could possibly provide.
In our last email to you, to which we received no reply, we informed you that the courier had communicated that signed POA (Power of Attorney) was required to release the shipment. This is something which can only be provided by the recipient, i.e. you, and the reason why the shipment still has yet to be released.
Whereas the majority of shipments transit seamlessly, there are sometimes requests for additional information or documentation from Customs which we have no control over and are unable to fulfil due to it being the responsibility of the importer.
We regret the issues that have arisen with your shipment, but they are outside of our control and can only be solved by the receiver. We continue to be on standby to offer any help we can, should anything further be asked of us.

If you are looking for a rare book and want wonderful service this is your place. I live in the US and wanted to make sure I had a book on time for my husband's birthday. I had concerns about the book arriving on time. My concerns were alleviated and the book arrived quickly and nicely packaged. My husband was extremely happy with his gift and I would absolutely purchase another book from Peter Harrington.
