Specialist Clinical Psychology Practice in Derbyshire for Pre-Teens and Adolescents, and Their Families Supporting tweens and teenagers through anxiety, school-related distress and emotional overwhelm, including when autism and/or ADHD are part of the picture. We provide: Autism and ADHD assessments for pre-teens and adolescents (in-line with NICE Guidelines, multidisciplinary) Psychological therapy for tweens and teenagers experiencing anxiety and emotional distress Parent-focused support to help you feel more confident, calm and connected Based in Derbyshire and working with families across the UK, both in-person and online. Examples of challenges we specialise in: ✔ Anxiety including OCD ✔ School-based distress (including EBSA) ✔ High-achieving teens who are suddenly overwhelmed ✔ Emotional shutdown or explosive meltdowns at home ✔ Social exhaustion or difficulty navigating friendships ✔ Uncertainty about possible autism or ADHD

Very professional and caring

I would imagine that by the time you've come to Percuro Psychology you have already been through all other options.
This is the place where you will find compassionate professionals who genuinely care. I cannot recommend these psychologists enough, doing careful assessments and producing a really comprehensive report with post-diagnosis care.
Highly recommend!

Parent Power Hour was hugely helpful

Our Parent Power Hour was hugely helpful at a time when we are struggling to know how to support our teenage son who has been suffering with EBSNA, anxiety and depression, but has been unable to access support. As parents we felt heard and understood, and that for the first time someone was really seeking to understand what is going on for our son. We left the session with more confidence and clarity and the follow up report with recommendations has been incredibly useful in helping us to work out our next steps. Would highly recommend to parents facing similar challenges.

Absolutely brilliant

Absolutely brilliant. Melita is a true professional with great values that helped us with both our son and daughter with their separate emotional problems. Her kind approach with both of them and us really got to the cause of their struggles and together we put in place strategies to help them. We would really recommend Melita.

I approached Melita for support with…

I approached Melita for support with managing my son’s school attendance, she was very patient and supportive and really understood what my son was experiencing. It’s been a long journey but my son is now in the right setting and receiving the support he needs to thrive. I can’t thank Melita enough for setting us on the right path and helping me understand what was actually going on.

We initially went to Percuro psychology…

We initially went to Percuro psychology for help and support in managing our son’s emotional outbursts and dysregulation.
Melita at Percuro was kind, compassionate and understanding and able to engage with our son and quickly build a rapport with him.
She soon identified that he may have ADHD which unfortunately had been missed by previous professionals.
Melita undertook a thorough and comprehensive assessment and he was diagnosed with combined type (inattentive and hyperactive/impulsive) ADHD.
She has continued to work with us to help us understand ADHD and the needs of our son.
After struggling for many years, life feels much better for us all!
We are forever grateful.

Autism/ADHD diagnosis

We used Percuro for a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD for our teenage daughter. The whole experience was excellent. It was handled with sensitivity, understanding, professionalism and expertise and in a manageable timeframe. I would highly recommend the service to families who need help in this area.
