We contacted Matthew Woodcock after hearing about him from an agent during a viewing appointment, and the journey began.
He was so upbeat and resourceful from the start that he was able to find us the highest bidder lender in just a few weeks.
Unfortunately, the seller backed out, and we were unable to purchase the home. We kept looking for new houses, this time a little more expensive, and went back to him to extend the mortgage amount, but he had already left the company. I tracked him down and found him working for Pembroke Financial Services. I asked him to be my advisor again, and he agreed to get us the second mortgage application accepted in a few weeks.
His positivity and his knowledge about the business makes him and outstanding advisor that proved to is that its not all another money he was helping a family to find the dreamed home.
Along the way Carol Mitchell came along to support Matthew with the paperwork. She is also a very efficient client support professional but also a lovely person than got involved in every part of the process to make sure important things like helth insurance, building and contents insurance were at the affordable price providing a great protection to our family.

Very pleased with Pembroke, Paul in particular was incredibly helpful over a couple of in-person meetings and then numerous emails to select a mortgage and get the application completed. My previous experience of other brokers was not great, they were pushy and tried to sell me overpriced insurance on top. But Pembroke were not like that.

I had many questions about various things (interest-only, retirement mortgages, risk etc) and Paul listened to what I was trying to achieve long-term and advised me on what's feasible and what to avoid for now. He and Julie found us a good deal for our initial remortgage, navigating a bunch of issues with different lender's requirements.

I'm pleased I went with a broker, to guide me through this - worth every penny. I will be back next time I need to change mortgage.
