Google Wallet ne fonctionne plus subitement (quand j'approche mon téléphone d'un terminal de paiement rien ne se passe, il n'est pas détecté). Cela fait 3 mois que j'échange avec Google Wallet pour trouver une solution. Les seules réponses que j'obtiens, c'est une IA qui me demande des captures d'écran de tout un tas de choses (j'en suis à plus de 20), chaque fois une nouvelle, mais bien sûr aucune solution proposée et pas même un contact avec un être humain qui pourrait comprendre le problème. A fuir absolument.

I have had so many problems with this pile of junk it's untrue.
(For clarity this is about "Google Pay" in anything other than the Google Wallet tap to pay app - I have no problem with the app. It's the web page payment links, subscriptions and merchant apps)
Because my Goole and e-mail addresses with merchant differ it has done things like set up new accounts and deliver wrongly.
I tried to pay for Shell fuel that all went wrong with their app so I got charged £100 but didn't unlock the pump so I had to pay again inside. and despite how many times they said this is a pre-hold - it wasn't - I had to do a chargeback with my credit card.
I tried to pay a just-eat. it failed (what a surprise) so I lost a voucher because just-eat said I'd used it. Whether these are Google or merchant issues I really dont care - it's too much hassle trying to get it sorted and risk of big payments I can't resolve - and you can't opt-out of it. To no surprise Google has little effective support. I must have spent 3 hours trying to resolve this.
In the end I've linked all my payments to a frozen credit card to be safe.
For a bit of fun here is a totally pointless reply they sent to me when I said this isn't a pre-auth its an actual charge....

The "Example Merchant" Label: This occurred due to a technical sync error between the Shell app and the payment processor. Because the transaction "failed" on their end, the merchant data didn't populate correctly, resulting in that generic placeholder name.
Current Status of Funds: It is important to note that Google Pay acts as a secure bridge; we do not hold or collect your money. That £100 is currently held in a "Pending" state by Monzo. Since Shell never finalized the sale, they will not "claim" these funds, and the bank is simply waiting for the hold to expire.
To resolve this and regain access to your funds as quickly as possible, please take the following actions:
Contact Monzo Support: Provide them with Transaction ID: *hidden*. Ask them to manually release the pre-authorization hold from March 15th. Banks can often expedite this once they verify the merchant has not claimed the funds.
Contact Shell Customer Service: If Monzo requires proof of the failure, Shell can provide a "Letter of Erasure" or a confirmation email stating the transaction was unsuccessful and will not be settled.

Scam. I bought an app which was not working. Wanted a refund. They only said that they w ont help to get the refund. So all their helpline, chatline, all the instructions, what are they for? To tell me they only pass my money and dont even help to deal with the seller? Tottally useless, time waisting service, do not trust them that your money are safe. In my case I would have still to send mails to this app developer, propably wont get nothing, and send refund requests to the bank to deal with them. What is the google pay for? Because it would be the same if I would pay by card.

I am extremely disappointed with Google, PayPal and Mureka AI.
I originally had a subscription through Google for additional storage space for my Gmail account (emails, photos and videos). This subscription was linked to PayPal as my payment method under what PayPal describes as a “pre-approved billing agreement”.
Without my clear consent or awareness, I was charged €269.99 for a one-year subscription to Mureka AI. I did not intentionally subscribe to this service.
Because the payment was processed automatically through the pre-approved agreement, PayPal advanced the money. When I noticed the charge, I immediately contacted my bank and disputed the transaction via my credit card. As a result, PayPal now claims that I owe them €269.99 — even though the money was already transferred to Mureka AI.
Google says they are not responsible because the billing agreement is considered an open pre-approved contract. PayPal says the charge was valid under that agreement. Meanwhile, Mureka AI has the money and is telling me to open a support ticket on their website, while also warning about possible legal action.
At this point, I feel completely unprotected as a consumer. None of the three companies are taking responsibility, and I am left dealing with the financial and legal stress.
I no longer feel I can trust Google’s subscription system, PayPal’s protection policies, or Mureka AI’s billing practices.
I strongly advise anyone to carefully review their pre-approved payment agreements and monitor their accounts closely.

Beim zahlen mit der Wallet App kommt in regelmäßigen Abständen der Hinweis , Smartphone entspricht den Sicherheitsbestimmungen nicht. Mal geht das mobile Bezahlen, aber öfters nicht. Ich habe Mitte Dezember eine Google Play Card für 25 Euro gekauft.
Seitdem erhalte ich zwar den Hinweis, dass meinem Konto diese 25 Euro gutgeschrieben werden ... aber dann, wenn ich auf " einlösen" tippe, immer wieder den gleichen Text: nämlich, dass Google play weitere Angaben benötigt. Das habe ich etliche Mal gemacht, aber auch nach fast 4 Wochen keine Lösung. Nie wieder gebe ich Geld für Spiele aus

Immer Alternative Zahlmethode dabei haben
Ich besitze eine Samsung Watch 5 pro und zahle mit Google Wallet, wenn es denn funktioniert. Tut es aber nicht immer. Beteiligte sind Samsung, Google und PayPal. Zum Jahreswechsel 24/25 hatte PayPal ein Problem, für dass man sich entschuldigte als es nach 2 Wochen behoben war. Jetzt funktioniert es meistens. Ich habe diese Methode eingerichtet um schnell einmal zu bezahlen und die Uhr habe ich immer dabei. Leider muss ich meine Geldbörse trotzdem mitführen.
"Karte kann icht geladen werden. Versuchen sie es später noch einmal". Diese Nachricht ist nicht wirklich hilfreich, wenn ich in der Schlange an der Kaufhauskasse stehe.
