I have tried all of the big travel companies, but the small family feel of Passports is unbeatable. I will never use a different company. The food was outstanding, and the hotels were great. The other companies say "No" to everything, but with Passports, little changes that we wanted to make were easy to implement. The communication and friendliness of the staff were a complete game-changer.

Passports is the leader in providing American students with safe and educational tours overseas. Their central office staff is responsive and willing to go above and beyond to ensure the students have a great experience. As a former chaperone and now group leader, I can say that Passports always has my back and will be right next to me should any curve balls get thrown our way. The company demonstrates a commitment to student safety. They offer reasonably priced tours and the hotels and restaurants booked are always amazing.

This company is amazing. From start to finish they were helpful, professional and easy to work with. The hotels, restaurants and guides were all A+ and we cannot wait to travel with them again.

Passports was incredible from start-to-finish. I had travelled internationally with another company for two trips, and had challenges there where I didn't feel heard regarding needs and wants. This was never the case with Passports. It was clear to me that all Passports employees care about giving a great experience to the group leaders and their students. HOTELS: Quality, city center with historic sites right nearby. Greece -7th floor breakfast with panoramic view of Greece (including Acropolis Hill/Parthenon). FOOD: Delicious, authentic Italian and Greek cuisine. First course, main dish, and dessert at EVERY dinner. TOUR DIRECTOR: Yiannis was exceptional! ACTIVITIES: Perfection - I am a theatre teacher who wanted several art related activities to be mixed in with the traditional tourist experience. We did experience the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Acropolis Hill, Parthenon, and more while also getting an orchestra concert inside St. Paul's Cathedral in Rome and a music theatre performance in Athens at The Greek National Theatre. Plus, we had a superb physical theatre workshop with Ivano from La Palestra dell'Attore Acting School.

I have traveled with Passports for over a decade and they have always rolled out the red carpet for me and my students! I love the family atmosphere of the company and the way they run things at every level. Highly recommend this company for student and adult travel!

We just returned from a student trip to Italy and Greece with Passports, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.

What stood out most was how well everything matched what was promised—hotels, guides, transportation, and major site access were all delivered as expected, which has not always been my experience with other tour companies.

The planning team (especially Katy and Hilary) was highly responsive and helped create an itinerary that balanced structured touring with meaningful free time. That balance made a big difference for student engagement.

Our Tour Director, Ivana Zerajic, was exceptional—organized, flexible, and great with students. She made adjustments in real time and helped elevate the overall experience.

The trip ran smoothly, and when minor issues came up, the Passports team was quick and solution-oriented.

Overall, this was a high-value, well-executed trip. I will absolutely travel with Passports again and recommend them to other educators.

I’ve been doing student travel since 2006, and switched to Passports in 2020. I tried most of the cheaper options, and can only say I wish I had switched sooner!

Passports got us through the complicated Covid mess with 5 stars. And the 4 trips I’ve done with them since have all been fantastic.

Hotels and food were my biggest complaints with the cheap guys, and Passports knocks that out of the park.

Plus, I’ve had the same customer service rep for 6 years with Passports, rather than 6 per year with previous companies.

Make the switch, it’s worth it

I have tried different travel groups, and Passports by far has been the best. They are open to group leaders writing their own tours (as I did) and assisting them when needed; the tour guides are knowledgeable and responsive to group needs, and our 24-7 guide managed this last time to help me when I had an on-tour injury. I had not one concern except for taking care of my injury - she used Passports insurance and managed all of the costs and necessary paperwork.
She was a true blessing!

If you're a teacher and want to take your students to Italy, this is your company. I've traveled with many others and I've had some horrific experiences. Passports will give you the support you need to have a great experience. You can make a custom itinerary that won't break your budge. They select nice hotels and good quality restaurants. The guides are knowledgable and patient. Everyone was helpful end-to-end.

Our trip to Italy was perfect. You get to see what you want to see without having to figure it all out. Joaquin was outstanding.

Passports is an amazing educational travel company! They provided everything they promised - city-centered hotels, less time on busses, and amazing food. Unlike other companies, from the time I requested information, I worked with ONE person, Kris. Kris not only walked me through every step in the planning stages, but checked in on my group both during and after our trip.

While on-trip, Passports has an app for travelers to use. One of my favorite features of the app is that it allows travelers to share photos. When we returned, I asked if there was a way to download all of the photos at once. Kris said that there wasn't, but she would contact IT about it. By the next morning, the app had an update that allowed downloading all of the photos!

Passports is a 10 out of 10! From the very start of planning the trip, to the middle when things changed on us, and up to the very end our consultant Katy Hemenway had our back and Hilary Rose helped us navigate changes as they arose. The location of our hotels could not have been better. We had a small tour that required us to walk to most of our destinations and it wasn't a hardship at all. The restaurants were great and authentic. Our guide Joaquin Chaparro Sanz was the best and made us all feel like family. Passports definitely makes you feel like you are their number one priority.

I really believe this company sets the standard for the industry and student travel opportunity. We have always enjoyed our travel experiences, but as a first time group leader, this year, Passports made the experience memorable, easy, and exciting. All the key areas of the experience were top-notch: travel, food, hotels, locations, excursions, and most importantly, guides. We will be booking our next tour within the next few weeks and we couldn't be more excited to embark with them, again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and they are a well-run company who works for you behind the scenes. They are accessible and ready to meet your needs and keep the experience enjoyable, regardless of seen and unforeseen circumstances. 10/10!

Passports is far and away the best student tour company if you want excellent hotels and meals in the cities you visit. Our trips to Italy with Passports have been exceptional, the guides are exceptional, the itineraries are balanced and well supported. Our recent trip to Sicily brought us along the southern coast, learning about the history, experiencing the culture and having time to enjoy the most beautiful Sicilian sun!

I have been on two different tours with Passports and they have done an amazing job on both. Their tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating. The staff is available and willing to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Passports is an amazing company to travel with. I will never use another tour company! I had one of the best experiences ever on my recent trip to Peru where our local guide constantly went above and beyond for my students. I am forever grateful for her dedication to her job and passion for her country! Additionally, they offer incredible training conferences to fascinating locations. I will continue to recommend Passports to all colleagues!

Great hotel location, knowledgeable and friendly tour guides. Passports staff was wonderful and we had a great time.

I've done TWO trips through Passports, and this company is GREAT! Passports may not the cheapest educational travel company out there-- although when we've asked for quotes from other companies for comparable itineraries, the prices have been extremely close, if not higher.

Here are some ways that Passports brings value to the table:

1) They only pick 3-4 star hotels that are centrally located. Over and over, educators who've traveled with other tour companies have told me that their hotels were 60+ min outside of the city, which saves the travel company money, but it's a waste of time for the travelers.
2) The meals that are included in the cost are incredible! True European cuisine! Again, I've heard horror stories from other travel companies where the meals consist of french fries and a slab of meat. Not so with Passports! If you click on the link in my post, you'll see a slideshow where I give a sample menu from a restaurant that we ate at on a prior trip. These are good quality meals that cost anywhere from €35-€50 a plate.
