Using it for MRCP, the questions are poorly written and not representative of the exam. Lazy filler questions based around "which is least likely to cause xyz" are constant. Heavy reliance on the AI feature for teaching which is shockingly useless. Lots of dead hyperlinks which are supposed to link to revision materials. For the amount of money it costs, it really is just getting worse with time

I have signed up to the free Passmedicine, giving a 1 year subscription to Year 1-3 medicine.
I am preparing for a 20% mid year examination, in my first year of medicine, that is testing cardio vascular, basis of medicine, respiratory, and GI
This is feedback after starting the Cardiovascular bank of questions- most seem to be at a level focused on year 2/3 and not on year 1- I have asked Passmed if there is anyway to filter the questions- to an appropraite level- so that I am getting year 1 questions and not year 2/3- but haven't heard back- i would say 2/3 of the questions or more are at a year 2/3 level so not sure how helpful many of the questions are.
If you cant filter these later year questions out- it would be good for pass med to perhaps put what year of medicine question these were so you could know if this was later year knowledge-
Putting year 1-3 all in one question bank is not very helpful if you are in your first year being examined just on first year content.

Excellent structured website for UKMLA & preclinical revision with flashcards, AI tutors, questions etc. Reasonably cheap price.

Had previously used passmedicine for AKT and found it was great, but made the mistake of using it as my sole source of revision for DRCOG - after learning everything on the site I was scoring 90% consistently and felt very prepared but the actual exam made me realise huge areas were missing from the question bank and I failed. Really disappointed

ucat questions were way easier on the website leaving me super unprepared. i was doing all the questions in the time limit and getting 650+ points on each. i was confident i would get 2800+ and at least band 2 on the ucat due to my practice scores on passmedicine ( i also practiced for 1-2 hours everyday for 5/6 weeks) when the actual thing was WAYYYYYY harder leaving me with 2260 and a band 3, not happy at all

pathetic experience..waste of time...website hasnt been working for days..they setup a temporary website, which isnt working either....waste of money and time....i should have bought some alternate rather than wasting my precious time on pass medicine

The website has just shutted down due to cyber attacks. This has been an issue for the last couple of days. Now it is just gone completely. Apparently they have no back-up plan! It is just nonsense, waiting for the website come round when there is only a couple weeks left to your exam!

Multiple times I got stuck not getting questions,
rarely getting time to study. Also facing issues like its showing to log in many times
"Session timed out - please login again"
this is showing since last few Hours . only few days are left for my exams
sorry to say if I had a chance to cancel and get refund I would have done it .

It has not even shown up on my exam resources despite logging in from several different devices and browsers updated still.

Whatever you do, don't waste your breath writing questions for PassMedicine. I wrote a batch in August and it is still in review. The first editor took a month to get back to me, but their comments were overall positive. After I addressed them, they fell off the face of the Earth, and I had to chase the PassMedicine team for another month to get reassigned a new editor. The new editor had a very quick turnaround time, but their comments were completely useless saying that they found grammar and syntax errors in all of my questions and that I should run them through Grammarly. I ran all questions through Grammarly which found no errors and made no suggestions. Overall, I have invested over 15 hours in creating these questions so even if they all get accepted (which I doubt will happen) it's just not worth my time.

I consider myself a seasoned veteran of
passmedicine.
2007-2012 Passmedicine was the only question bank i used through medical school (The now defunct peninsula medical school in Devon UK)
2012-2016- I solely used pass medicine for both MRCP part 1 and 2 written aced both of them.
2018-2020 I used passmedicine for the MRCGP AKT - smashed that as well.
2022 - i’ve just signed back up to them to refresh my skills and knowledge as i am
feeling rusty as a GP already!

It’s cheap and cheerful which is how it should be and doesn’t break the bank. Let’s hope they don’t get big headed or greedy and increase their costs any time soon! I am where i am today because of this site and i suspect i will still use the site in years to come. Shame they don’t reward loyal customers!

It’s greatly comprehensive notes comes in handy with passmedicine.Really great and easy for some one to study without going through any book.

Passmedicine AKT question bank

Good user interface, many questions, affordable and nice summaries but questions often out of date or simply incorrect, no attempts made to rectify (can see questions dating back to a year when people pointed out mistakes still incorrect). Some questions look like they have been taken from other question banks eg MRCS or MRCP, for example, question on secondary care treatment of varicose veins - I don't think it's fair to expect GPs to know this.

Accurate questions based exclusively on evidence and national guidelines. All questions are substantiated and corroborated by additional resources for study.

I used the free Passmedicine UCAT resource in preparing for my UCAT exam and found it hugely beneficial. Undoubtedly, for me, my main preparation resource with individual question analysis and percentiles for every test. The mock exams where also super useful, especially in the days leading up to the exam. I exceeded my own expectations for my exam performance and attribute a lot of this to Passmedicine.
