When we were planning our wedding, it was a no brainer to us that we wanted Pablo, our English Bulldog, as part of the day. However, we didn’t want any of our family or friends to have to take the responsibility of him. That’s when we found Sue and aPad4Paws! We had several zoom calls with her leading up to the wedding and she asked so many questions about his preferences/allergies to make sure that he would be comfortable throughout the day.
On the day, it was perfect. It was quite a warm day and Pablo can struggle in the heat - she was prepared for everything, water bowls, cooling bandanas, she took Pablo off to cool down when she could see that he was too hot. She helped him pose for photos by having a constant supply of cheese to hand! You can really tell she loves animals so much.
The next morning, she sent through so many videos and photos from Pablo’s perspective which was so nice to immediately have those clips and see parts of the wedding.
I honestly could not recommend them enough.

We knew we wanted our two dogs to be part of our wedding. Luckily Sue and Pete were available. There were video calls beforehand to get to know our dogs’ needs and plans for the day. We couldn’t have done it without Pete being there throughout, caring for them and having them available for photos, enabling them to truly be part of it all. He took the dogs home and stayed with them during the evening, feeding them and our cat. We are very grateful to Pete and Sue.

Sue & Pete were so wonderful chaperoning our little dog Bilbo for our wedding at Rockbeare Manor in June. They were so attentive and warming during the organization of the day and also looking after Bilbo during the serve Pete was so amazing at keeping Bilbo calm and still be apart of the day.

They kept us updating throughout Bilbo’s overnight stay and we know Bilbo had the best time staying with them. We couldn’t recommend this wonderful couple and business more! Thank you so so much 🤍

We used apad4paws for our wedding and couldn't be happier with the service Sue and Pete provided. From the moment we met Sue at a wedding fayre, it was clear she genuinely loves what she does — both she and Pete are true animal people, and that really put us at ease.

Sue took the time to explain all the options and how she could tailor the service to suit our plans. In the lead-up to the big day, we had several Zoom calls to make sure everything was crystal clear. We chose the overnight boarding the night before and the night of the wedding, as well as the chaperone service including drop-off at the venue — and it all went seamlessly.

There was also a meet and greet beforehand so our dog, Layton, was familiar with Sue and Pete, which made all the difference. They were both so lovely, nothing was ever too much trouble, and Sue even captured some brilliant photos of Layton throughout the day.

We were really impressed with every part of the service and would 100% recommend apad4paws to anyone who wants their dog involved in their wedding day. It was one less thing to worry about and such a special touch having Layton there.

From the moment we met Sue and Pete at the South West Wedding Fair in Exeter—accompanied by their two charming golden retrievers—we were instantly impressed. Before that, we hadn’t even considered the possibility of including our own energetic Golden in our wedding day. But after chatting with them and hearing about their journey and the experiences they’d had, we knew we had to book them.

Their website made the booking process easy, and they were quick to respond with availability. Despite the travel from Plymouth to our venue in Bridgwater, their pricing was incredibly reasonable. We also had a Zoom call to discuss the details and felt completely reassured by their professionalism and warmth.

A few weeks before the big day, we decided we wanted our boy to be part of the ceremony by delivering the rings. Sue and Pete were completely on board and worked with him on the day to make it happen—he did a brilliant job!

On the morning of the wedding, Sue was with our boy from the outset. She took him for walks, kept him calm during key moments, dressed him in his little suit and ring bearer clip, and guided him perfectly down the aisle. She even captured some beautiful candid footage and photos that we’ll always treasure.

After all the excitement (and many, many photos!), Sue kindly took him to his kennel for a well-deserved mini staycation before heading home.

We cannot recommend Sue and Pete enough to anyone looking to include their dog in their special day. Whether you simply want photos with your pup or a full-on role in the ceremony, they are the go-to people. They make sure everything runs smoothly—without taking time or focus away from your family and friends.

When planning our wedding and finding out our perfect venue, The Sandy Cove Hotel was dog friendly I knew Gino, our family golden retriever had to be there. As an anxious dog we knew we would need help to make the day possible for him which is when I found Pad4Paws on social media and made contact. I was so pleased they were available on our wedding day.

Following a zoom call to meet Sue & Pete we knew right away they were the prefect fit for Gino & us. Having goldies themselves they understand the goldie way and were both so friendly and lovely, and understanding of Gino's anxieties. We confirmed our wedding date and looked forward to Gino being part of our day, knowing he would be looked after.

We then had a zoom call two weeks before the wedding to go through the plans and times for the day which left us all feeling confident ahead of the day, Sue was so accommodating and understanding that although plan A was in place, it could end up being very different subject to how Gino is as he sure does suffer from FOMO. This was no problem at all.

In the days before the wedding a WhatsApp group was set up so we could communicate, and there were a few last minute tweaks which Sue took in her stride.

On the day, Sue arrived on time and equipped for the day ahead. Gino took to Sue amazingly and she quickly put him at ease, showing him around the venue, brushing him and getting him ready for his role as dog of honour. In his moments of insecurity Sue provided the confidence he needed and reassuring him - Sue even managed to bring Gino up to meet me from the hotel before the ceremony, which was a huge thing for Gino being away from the people he knows which shows the relationship they had built in a short time.

This was the first time we had met Sue in person and it was like meeting a friend we'd known for years. Sue then helped Gino to make his grand entrance and looked after him during the ceremony, then assisting with the photos etc. It was so lovely to have Sue there to take the pressure off other family members to look after Gino who was also thoroughly enjoying the day. Although plan A didn't happen, Sue was more than happy to go with whatever made Gino happy and it was lovely to see him relaxed and happy.

The icing on the cake was the photos and videos sent the next day of Gino's POV of the day and it was so lovely to see what he got up to while we were getting ready, see him greeting our guests etc.

Sue was quite simply our fairy god mother of the wedding day. It meant so much to have Gino as part of the day and to see him happy and relaxed, and all this was down to Sue who was simply amazing. I really can't thank you enough for making our dreams come true with our wedding.

If we lived closer we would definitely trust Sue & Pete to look after Gino as they are both such lovely caring people.

To any bride and grooms to-be wondering if a dog chaperone is worth it, I'd say they are worth their weight in gold!

It’s difficult to put into words just how incredible Sue and Pete have been to us over the last seven years. Albus has had the pleasure of Auntie Sue and Uncle Pete’s company twice a week for a long time now. They have cared for him overnight during our wedding and honeymoon, and even stepped in during emergencies. Sue and Pete are truly his furry godparents—they have kept him entertained, stimulated, fed, and walked, and have bent over backwards to accommodate his eccentricities. They have been incredibly flexible when we’ve struggled with timings, and in our hour of need, they stepped in to keep Albus safe and loved while we navigated the challenges of our child’s early birth.
Sue and Pete are the canine family we never knew we needed. Their love, compassion, empathy, professionalism, and kindness make their service truly unique. We are regularly updated with pictures, videos, and messages that brighten our day and reassure us that our fur child is having the time of his life. Every dog in their care is treated as one of their own—it’s clear that, for them, this is so much more than just a job.
We will forever be grateful for the time, care, and support Sue and Pete have shown us. This has been much more than just daycare for Albus—it has been a lifeline for my wife and me.

As a wedding photographer I have worked with aPad4Paws / Dog Chaperoning at Weddings on multiple occasions now and they are truly wonderful! They look after your four legged best friend as if they were their own, and are such lovely people to be around. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the dogs are so well cared for! Wedding days can be stressful for dogs and having a chaperone is a brilliant way to have them involved in your day in a way that is the most thoughtful and least stressful for them - and for you as a couple! Sue is absolutely top of my list of recommendations if you’re looking for a dog chaperone!

Sue and Pete did an incredible job looking after 6 dogs on our wedding day. They were so accommodating, kind and loving to them all, especially our little rescue who struggles at times. They sent regular photos of them all cuddled up together and made sure they were all happy throughout the day. We can’t thank them enough for their support on our big day.

We had a great experience with Sue and Pete. Very accommodating to our dogs needs. Pete took extra care of our nervous dog and built a great relationship with him on our wedding day. We were given regular updates and pictures and could relax knowing our dogs were in safe hands!

A Pad 4 Paws dog wedding chaperoning were simply perfect! Sue and Pete sat down with my (now) wife and I via Zoom to discuss our day, and what we wanted our dog involved in. Sue took it all in her stride and said yes to everything we asked for.

She picked our dog up the morning of our wedding, took him for a groom and freshen up, and then brought him back and dressed him in his flower collar for our ceremony. We did a ‘first look’ with our doggo and it was perfect. Sue kept him quiet (no mean feat) during the entire ceremony, and then accompanied us into the woods with our videographers and photographer to bring him in/out of any shots we wanted. She stayed with him in our accommodation until we wanted to take him back.

It made our entire wedding stress free but enabled us to have our pooch there. Then, after the wedding, Sue shared LOADS of photos that she took of Milo during the day so we saw our day through his eyes. This was such a nice touch.

We would fully recommend A Pad 4 Paws to anyone!

Sue and Donna were absolutely fantastic, communication was great and the zooms ahead of the ceremony meant the whole thing was seamless. Cannot thank them enough for looking after Jasper and Millie, ensuring they were looked after and they could be there to join us for photos. Our minds were completely at ease and the dogs were very happy and looked after with plenty of walks, treats, cuddles and interaction. Cannot thank them enough.

We cannot rate Sue and Pete highly enough! Sue looked after our dog, Barkley on our wedding day. It made our day so special having him there and so much less stressful knowing he is being looked after well and that our family and friends aren’t missing any of our wedding. Sue and Pete kept in communication with us leading up to the wedding and on the day. They were super flexible with how and when we wanted Barkley involved on the day from picking him up from our house and brining him to the venue, to putting his outfit on for the ceremony and making sure he was close by for some photos with our photographer. Sue also took lots of photos of Barkley from behind the scenes which were so lovely to reflect back on, he had the best day and so did we thanks to Sue and Pete!

We used A pad for Paws as our wedding chaperoning service and are so glad we did. We have known Sue and Pete for a few years as they used to board our Labrador and they have always looked after her so well. They were very professional and accommodating to meet all of our needs. They ensured the day went super smoothly and considering we had our bouncy Labrador there, you would hardly have noticed her as she was so well cared for.

Sue and Pete were absolutely brilliant from start to finish with looking after our Cockerpoo Winston for our wedding. We had a really comprehensive first chat which made us feel confident they knew what they were doing, followed by a meet and greet with their two dogs Branston and Pumpkin! It made us feel really at ease that Winston would be happy and comfortable staying over with them, and happy with Sue on the wedding day.
On the day Sue was great - she kept Winston entertained, looking smart, and popped in to the celebrations at the right times to get Winston involved without overwhelming him. We're so happy we had him there it really made the day so special. Sue shared lots of pictures and videos of Winston throughout the day which was great fun to see what he got up to!

We booked Sue after being let down by another supplier and I’m so so glad we did. Sue & Pete were amazing before and on the wedding day. Before the wedding day we had a few calls to discuss what we wanted Milo to do and nothing was too much for them.
On the day Sue was amazing! Milo is a crazy doggy and does get a bit over excited with his loved ones but Sue handled him brilliantly. We even had photos of him cuddled up with her and not many people get a Milo cuddle so we instantly knew he was happy! Thank you for everything! We had no worries about Milo on the day and that’s all because of you! I couldn’t recommend enough!!
