It’s so clever
It’s so clever! I had been tracking cycles using bbt for nearly 18 months and had seen a gp and was waiting for further help when I decided to invest in this.
I fell pregnant on my third cycle using ovusense - and this was because it identified that I was ovulating later in my cycle then bbt was telling me.

AVOID - so temperamental, doesnt connect or download data
WASTE OF MONEY. POOR CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. This product is so temperamental it has not performed a single function it claims to. The sensor has not been able to be detected on two different phone, despite removing and reinstalling the app, switching off all other apps and a laundry list of other trouble shooting tasks from the customer support team. Everytime we email them a new list of troubleshooting tasks come through.
As a result we cant download data and our 2 month subscription has almost run out.
Customer service whilst friendly is supremely frustrating and despite confirming they would send a replacement if the last troubleshooting didnt work, they now claim it's our wifi connection to the server and there is no mention of a replacement.
Utterly frustrating experience from an expensive item which is supposed to make a stressful experience easier. Epic fail from Ovusense.

Complete waste of money
I used it for three cycles, ovulation prediction was incorrect for 2 out of 3 (I was also having fertility tests at the same time so this was confirmed by my doctor). Customer service unhelpful and very "computer says no" approach, refused to give me an extension on my subscription despite the poor results. This sensor does nothing you can't do with a £10 BBT thermometer. The "live prediction" just uses data from previous cycles and is useless if you ovulate at different points in the month and are TTC, because it takes several days to confirm ovulation and at that point you've missed your fertile window. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I have reviewed the recent correspondence with the Customer Support Team and I'm sorry to hear that OvuSense has failed to meet your expectations on this occasion.
OvuSense is different to BBT tracking for multiple reasons, the main being that it tracks your core body temperature (CBT) and that it provides a prediction and confirmation based on your 'average' CBT. A BBT thermometer only provides one temperature reading per day, OvuSense is taking your temperature every 5 minutes whilst you are at rest to then provide one overall average reading - making it more accurate than other methods. OvuSense is also not affected by external factors such as central heating/hot and cold drinks/wearing a blanket whilst you sleep etc whereas a normal BBT thermometer can be affected by all of these things.
OvuSense tracks your cycle in 'real time', this means is uses 'live readings' to predict and confirm ovulation making it ideal for women who don't ovulate at the same time each month. It is cautious about providing confirmation of ovulation and will only do so when it is 99% sure that ovulation has occurred, so there will always be a 1% chance that your confirmation may not be correct.
I can see from the correspondence that your data was referred to our technical team for further in-depth analysis, but your confirmation of ovulation was still correct when processed through the algorithm.

I used this product beginning of last…
I used this product beginning of last year and it was completely fine, so I know how the sensor is supposed to work. I then decided to try it again but as I was moving house the other one was packed away so I paid for a new one, the new sensor was faulty, I was asked to do ridiculous things like send videos of me trying to register the new sensor. Finally after weeks of emailing back and fourth they sent me a new sensor! This sensor is also faulty, it took an hour to register by tapping it at every possible position. I’m sat here at 6.30am tapping the last hour to download my today’s reading. This has proven to be a nightmare experience, it’s a lot of money and for some reason they do shady things like disable comments if it makes their company look negative in any way on Facebook. I’m really annoyed and frustrated. This product could be life changing and great, if it works! I need to now email them again and see what they can do about my second faulty sensor and I know it’s going to be a long ordeal

I can't locate an order using the surname provided, so I would be grateful if you could contact me at caroline@ovusense.com and I will look into this for you.
As a Class II medical device, we are required to complete specific troubleshooting processes to determine why you are unable to connect your Sensor. Our support team will occasionally request a video to help determine the cause. All troubleshooting must be provided via our customer support system, this is because we have to be able to provide an audit trail of troubleshooting provided, if requested by our registered body. I also cannot find any posts from your in our OvuSense Users group using the name provided.
As per our terms & conditions, we are more than happy to replace any product which has been deemed faulty, free of charge.
Please contact me using the above e-mail address and I will be happy to look into this for you and provide a satisfactory resolution.

Accuracy and peace of mind! I have PCOS and struggled to get pregnant for years. OvuSense showed me that I was ovulating, even when my doctor said I wasn’t! I’m now a mom and only wish I had found OvuSense sooner as I could have saved tons of money and years of heartache. Thank you OvuSense!

It is interesting to hear that OvuSense identified your ovulation when your specialist had told you that you were not ovulating. We do see this often in our user group, its usually because many Doctors order a progesterone test (to confirm ovulation) on day 21 of the cycle. Many women with PCOS, don't often ovulate until after this point, which is why the Doctor believes that ovulation has not occurred. Congratulations on becoming a parent and we are so glad we could help you along the way.

Ovusense has been a life saver
Ovusense has been a life saver. I cannot fault it. I suffer from pcos, therefore do not go through a 28 day text book cycle. Ovusense was able to pinpoint my ovulation days correctly and most important that I ovulated later in the cycle. They also have the most amazing support team who are always there to answer to any questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this product over opk’s.

Beware
Beware! They dont comply with law when asking for a refund at 14 days to return for online consumer goods. I paid an expensive £150 which has gone down the drain. I read their policy which has a £50 retention so illegal and dodgy under 14 day period. They ignore your emails and if you call them its a voicemail which they never call back. I emailed many times. The gadget is faulty as it download sometimes which is extremely upsetting. I was hoping it would help with my pcos ovulation tracking.

Unfortunately, as you are anonymous I am unable to comment on your individual case.
As stated in the terms and conditions of sale (which are agreed to at the checkout), there is a small charge which is netted off against the total amount paid when a return is requested within 14 days. As OvuSense is a Class II medical device, designed for a single user only, it is packaged in a sterile environment and once it has been shipped and delivered to the recipient we can no longer guarantee that it remains sterile and there is a possibility of contamination. This has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, therefore we are no longer accepting returns. The fee is to cover the cost of manufacturing the Sensor and the part refund is then issued to the customer. All e-mails are responded to via the customer support desk within 5 hours, occasionally our responses do make their way into the SPAM folder and if you are using a hotmail, outlook or icloud address these are sometimes blocked by your server. We are more than happy to replace any product deemed to be faulty, if you would like to contact me at caroline@ovusense.com, I will be happy to look into this for you.
OvuSense and PCOS Sucessful Review!
I have PCOS, age 27, and have been trying to conceive for 2 years now. I am currently 11w 2d pregnant. I got pregnant using Ovusense without any additional meds. I got pregnant just after using the product for 2 months. Just the information alone is worth how much the product is. (Which is a bit pricy and the battery on your ovusense is only good for 1 year so then you have to rebuy the product over again. Kinda sucks in my opinion). I know alot of people who need longer than 1 year using the product to understand their cycles and such. But It's really helpful to know when you ovulate and how many days before your period starts that you typically ovulate. You can track the medicines you take, and when you are sexually active with your partner, or when you are getting fertility treatments or fertility trigger shots. I found it very useful and will definitely be using it to try for our 2nd kid when it's time. The app itself is a bit hard to understand but when you go into the facebook ovusense group it's really helpful to ask questions there and see other people's charts. Also, just get support through this hard and emotional journey. The women on the Facebook group page are very encouraging and helpful. I would 100% recommend this product. My only con is how expensive the product is and how it has such a short life period. Thanks!
