Both times I've booked I got a last minute email 2 days before due to 'very unusual circumstances of large numbers of people pulling out' this has also happened to my friend 3 times in a row now.

All that's offered in return is more credit to rebook and watse another day in your calender waiting for it to get cancelled.

I'm not convinced this service even exists in Edinburgh. It feel like they're just taking people's money and waiting for them to give up trying to rebook using their credits.

Their telephone number is automed with no real human, contact via thier website was ignored completely. The only way I even got a response was via this review. (and it just so happens the only 3 cancellations they've ever had in Edinburgh are the ones we tried to go to!)

All I wanted was a refund after being let down twice in a row. And their only response is "I hope you feel better leaving a review" and look for pitty by saying their a small company.

Small company or not, your customer service is TERRIBLE, you let me down twice and my friend 3 times yet still refuse to refund me.

The event was in London at the punch pub. The host was great- high energy, really personable. The location of the pub was very convenient. However it was so crowded and noisy, no one could hear anything. Literally we were showing each other our names on our phones. Impossible to have a conversation. I also noticed one man who was easily 10 years older than the age range, had a wedding ring tan lines, and was conspicuously leaving his left hand in his lap. Yikes. Three women commented they had gone to four or five other events but had never met anyone they further wanted to know.

Overall fair for the price, but I'll probably try somewhere outside London next time.

the event is great and also to meet lovely people but when some people yes to you on the website and don't reply after we write a message on that part it's just disappointing.

This was a friendly and relaxed speed dating event. The host was warm and chatty and put everyone at ease, as well as been clear about how the event worked. I enjoyed myself and met some interesting people. I would definitely go to an Original Dating event again and would recommending to anyone who wants to meeting new people in chilled out atmosphere.

Had a great experience on the night in a wonderful atmosphere where I met lots of interesting people. Was very well organised and would defiantly be taking a trip to another event in the future.

Been to a few of their events (speed dating, lock & key parties, card games). Generally there's a good turn out and balanced gender ratio. Venues are decent and staff are friendly.

My friend and I were tired of using online dating apps and getting nowhere with it. We had always fancied trying speed dating so we braved it and went to 2 events with younger and older age brackets. We both had fun nights, we got such a better vibe meeting people in person, the host Wendi was super friendly & both of us had matches! I highly recommend original dating speed dating, so tell all of your single friends to give it a go!

Absolutely brilliant night out. Very well organised and met some lovely people. Looking forward to the next one!

First time doing speed dating and I will a million percent do it again! The host was super helpful, the venue was perfect!

Booked an event the 23rd of December 2021 in Islington. Received confirmation of the event on 23rd December 2021. Arrived at the venue at the allocated time. Bar staff informed the event was cancelled. Then failed to get through to Original Dating when I tried to call them. Absolutely zero contact from the company to let me know it was going to be cancelled and, not contactable after that, and no contact to apology or provide a refund. Waste of £20.

I purchased a ticket to attend the 23-35 Speed Dating event, held on Saturday 8th January at Perini and Perini Bar in the Pontis restaurant.

I arrived at the venue, where I was informed by the restaurant that Original Dating had cancelled the event 24 hrs before. Subsequently, I received a refund for my ticket from the organiser and am satisfied that the issue was resolved positively.

No refund for a no match a singles lock and key party. There guarantee is so misleading. Wasted my money money :( don't book.

I have booked a slot on the day of the event, but realised I wouldn't be able to attend due to unexpected workload. I received a generic response from Stuart letting me know that regrettably, there's nothing they can do to help on the day of the event. I was surprised as I was able to book after the "48h time frame before the event".

I was looking forward to potentially attend further events but unfortunately I've lost trust on their service. I would not recommend to book from 48h before the start of the event, even if there are available slots, as you wouldn't receive support if needed.

I went to the Lock and Key party and one of the speed dating events. Both events presented great opportunities to meet people of both genders and practise social skills. The atmosphere was fantastic and second to none. Would recommend.

There are plenty of good people at these events that ive attended, from the host and the people i have met, (mainly most recently online events)
my first face to face event a few years ago went swimmingly, i really enjoyed it and felt safe, cared for and comfortable meeting new people - helped by the fact i prepared myself for that by making sure i did a lot of things in the day to bring me to a good space. like attracts like

I have been to the over 40s dating event and really enjoyed it, lovely people and a few potential matches. Great event would recommend if you would like to meet fellow professionals.

Attended a lock and key dating event, it was fun - very civilised and interesting people and many people to talk to! Definitely beats dating apps.
However, an improvement would be a bit smaller age-range - 20 years is quite big! Maybe 15 years instead? Or if it has to be 20 years, maybe put on a 30-50 event as well? Also, perhaps something that filters for professional status? I'm PhD level educated, so a 'professionals dating' event would be awesome for me!
But other than that, it was a fun evening out.. :) thank you.
