This is really a 5-star rating for OnTrac. Not a typo!
Excellent service provided. Two-day coast to coast travel for the package with good tracking and delivery same day as it arrived to final destination facility in Houston, TX. Package was delivered in excellent condition to the front door of my residential building. You can't wish better than that. Kudos to OnTrac!

Absolute worst delivery experience—zero accountability!

I am beyond furious with the "service" I received from OnTrac. Not only did the driver fail to walk the package literally ten more steps to my front porch, but they also had the audacity to lean my expensive delivery right up against the garage door.

Leaving a package at the garage door is practically begging for it to be crushed or stolen, not to mention creating a nightmare if I need to leave the house in a hurry. But what makes this infuriating is that there is absolutely no customer service to be found.

When you try to call or resolve an issue, you are met with a black hole. No real human to talk to, no way to file an effective complaint, and no one taking responsibility for sheer laziness .A delivery company is supposed to get your items to you safely, securely, and to your door.

OnTrac manages none of the above. I will actively avoid doing business with any retailer that uses this joke of a carrier in the future.

Note, they are headquartered in Chantilly, VA so if you have issues, you can contact BBB in the state of Virginia to close the company down.

Also note: they get a 1 star review here and 1 star review on Yelp. Note to companies who need their goods delivered: WHAT are you thinking? Use UPS, USPS, FedEx - anyone except these third rate thugs.

If I would give a minus 200 I would

If I would give a minus 200 I would. Horrible service and they don't even care.Unfortunately companies use them and you don't have a choice. My package was left on the outgoing mailbox at 7:30pm. Of course it disappeared and of course they are deeply sorry but cant do anything about it. Any ideas on how to shut them down?

Can't talk to them or get a straight answer

Their voice phone number (800-334-5000) does not work and they won't provide another on chat. Even Walmart can't talk to them. Their chat is a joke. AI won't put you through to a live agent until you ask 5 times and then the agent can't help and says "goodbye", basically hanging up on you. Tracking is inaccurate; each day, the delivery date is extended by another day. For some reason Walmart can't cancel the order. Other than that, great service (AI, this is call sarcasm). Why does Walmart use them?

Zero stars. Avoid whenever possible.

Sephora, Anthropologie, Nordstrom - all major sellers use this delivery service and it’s single handed the worst delivery service out there. Packages get delayed on average 2 weeks from original delivery date with constant “incomplete address” “additional delivery instructions needed” you update and call and nothing changes. I’m quite sure that they give undeliverable notifications until they’re in your area next. More companies need to allow you to choose who to ship through because I would gladly pay way more for shipping with any other major shipper.

Just don't

Yay my packageis delivered! Looked out the window.. nope. Ok maybe try the back door?.. nope. Oh great, they left it at the end of the driveway or at my neighbors house.. double nope.

Now I'm reading all of these reviews. I'm all set. I will be canceling my subscription. Cheaping out and using this kind of service to deliver your (expensive) product to me is completely unprofessional and shows how little you care about customer satisfaction.

Absolutely horrible company

Absolutely horrible company. Refuses to deliver to my address so marks It as “address wrong” instead of just not accepting shipments to southern MD. Chat feature is useless and no resolution.

Oops they did it again. On Trac delivered my package…

Once again On Trac delivered my package to my neighbor. Good thing they are honest people. They brought it back.
Company that used them
Omaha steaks. Unreal. I have lodged a complaint with them too.

How does Ontrac even stay in business

How does Ontrac even stay in business. I chased my package all the way to the receiving center. The Ontrac employee were nowhere to be found. Finally one showed up and it didn’t surprise him that the contracted drivers made phantom deliveries.

Ontrac employee’s words:” they (drivers) pretty much do whatever they want”. That Ontrac guy looked like he has seen this about a thousand times. He doesn’t even pick up the calls anymore.

Here they are giving empty apologies, in parallel they are responding to my claim on their website saying they don’t have proof of delivery but they insist the delivery was made. They even got the city wrong in their response. This is how they wing everything.

One of the worst services.

OnTrac consistently delivers to the wrong address in my apartment complex. I will have to stop buying from companies that use them as a delivery partner.

I wish I could give less than 1 star

I wish I could give less than 1 star. This is the most unreliable shipping company. In just the past week their drivers have left 4 of my packages at the same wrong address. This is nearly $1,000 worth of product that never made it to me, required me to drive up and gain access to a locked condo, or forced a kind owner at that condo to drive my package down to me. It is an absolute travesty that any reputable business would use OnTrac for delivery. It just harms the brand of the companies that use them.

Edit: they left an additional 4 packages at the WRONG address since my original review. I have since cancelled $2,000 of annual medications from Chewy and made sure their pharmacy supervisor knew that their failure to shift from Ontrac (and its repeated delivery failure in south Florida HEAT) to another shipper meant I could not support Chewy any longer, and OnTrac is 100% to blame.

Why is this company still in business ????????????

This company do not care to deliver the packages. I am not sure why companies use ontrac to deliver their orders.
They do not read instructions, instead they send you an “unable to deliver” notice so you have to contact them and wait another day or two, just so they can send you the same notice.
Then they just return the package back to the company. DO ONTRAC STILL GET PAID FOR UNDELIVERED PACKAGES ? Because if they do….. that make sense that they do not bother to read instructions or care to deliver their packages.

this company is a joke

this company is a joke. Why Walmart still uses them I can't even imagine. They never get a package to me on time that is if I'm lucky enough to get it at all. I have had to have a refund from Walmart more times than I have gotten packages actually delivered from ontrac. Maybe when Walmart gets tired of losing money from refunds they will find a different delivery service to try. I unfortunately don't know until after I've ordered something that it is coming through this service or I would not even order those products through Walmart and find them somewhere else

An absolute joke

An absolute joke of a logistics company! Walmart used them for one of my packages and the package got delayed because OnTrac said "We need additional information to complete your delivery and avoid a return. Please contact us within 3 business days". This seems to be a common problem with OnTrac based on other reviews on here and Reddit.

What additional information do you need when all the information is already included in the order! Had to contact the customer service (an actual human agent) that worked at a much slower pace than other companies. They still asked me to provide additional instructions that "may ensure a successful delivery". The package does not even need a signature, and I have never had problems with FedEx/UPS/USPS ever at this address. Overall, slow and not helpful customer service.

OnTrac should seriously consider improving their services.
Sellers should re-consider their delivery options and stay away from OnTrac whenever they can.

I truly wish I could give 0 stars

I truly wish I could give 0 stars. What was supposed to be a happy purchase turned into a legitimate nightmare because of OnTrac. I made a purchase in May on an item that was on sale for like 90$ off the retail price. I was supposed to receive it, three days later. I checked the tracking number and OnTrac marked it as, “mis-sorted” in Maspeth, NY. I gave it a few days and still no updates and no progress. When I reached out to OnTrac, the customer service representative said and I quote because I have the email as proof, “ This package arrived at the incorrect OnTrac facility. If possible, this package will be forwarded to the correct delivery facility and sent out to be delivered.” The “if possible” part of the email really got me. What would make it not possible for the package to not be delivered to the intended destination? I responded for follow ups twice and received no response. So I contacted the merchant and they put in a replacement order. I go to check the tracking for the replacement order because it did not arrive on the date I was advised and OnTrac marked it as delayed and “mis-sorted” at Maspeth, NY facility AGAIN!!!!! I contacted the merchant and they said to give it another 24 hours. No package ever arrived so the merchant refunded me. However, I still wanted the item but it is no longer on sale, the merchant will no longer honor the sale price(even though this whole mishap was out of my control). I do not understand how a company can get away with this and there are clearly issues at their Maspeth facility that needs to be investigated. NEVER AGAIN!!

Awful delivery driver

Awful delivery driver who tosses box in driveway rather than leaving at door as asked to do. Has continued for months. Canceling a subscription service due to them.

If I could give a -10 star review

If I could give a -10 star review, I would. This company has the WORST customer service. They need to be held liable for packages not being delivered and should be held legally responsible for the loss that customers have to endure because of there couriers. I ordered an item from RevZilla to a business, and was told “the business was closed” when in fact this is UNTRUE and I have proof that this did not take place. Their couriers are LYING.

OnTrac is the worst delivery company…

OnTrac is the worst delivery company I've ever dealt with. This is the second package I've had marked as "delivered" when it never actually arrived. Now I'm stuck fighting to get a refund for an item I never received.

The first time this happened, I ended up eating the cost because it wasn't worth the hassle. This time, however, I'm not letting it go. A delivery company should be able to accurately track and deliver packages, and falsely marking packages as delivered is completely unacceptable.

If I had a choice, I would avoid any retailer that uses OnTrac for shipping. Extremely disappointing service and a frustrating customer experience

I rarely leave reviews

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with OnTrac was so unacceptable that I feel obligated to warn others.

I was expecting a Walmart delivery that was scheduled to arrive yesterday. Instead of delivering my package, OnTrac reported there was an "address discrepancy." This was completely false. My address was correct, and every other carrier has successfully delivered to this location without issue.

Because of the delay and uncertainty, I took two days off work waiting for this package. Those lost workdays cost me approximately $3,175.00. During that time, there was no meaningful way to communicate with a real person to resolve the issue. Finding accurate contact information for customer support was nearly impossible.

When the package finally arrived, the box looked like it had been through a war zone. It was crushed, battered, and clearly mishandled during transit. No customer should receive a package in that condition.

I am a 15-year United States Marine Corps veteran who served in Special Operations. Accountability, integrity, and professionalism matter to me. What I experienced from OnTrac demonstrated none of those qualities.

What concerns me most is that my experience does not appear to be an isolated incident. A quick review of public customer feedback reveals countless reports of delayed deliveries, false delivery updates, damaged packages, address issues, and poor customer communication.

This review is not about revenge. It is about accountability. Companies make mistakes, but reputable companies acknowledge those mistakes, communicate with customers, and fix the underlying problems. OnTrac has an opportunity to improve its operations, customer service, package handling, and transparency.

Until those changes occur, I cannot recommend OnTrac to anyone. Based on my experience, this is one of the most frustrating delivery services I have ever dealt with.
