Great service, great wines & informative, fun online tasting. Prefer the six 100ml to three bottles dome offer too, if you get one that’s not your style it’s not wasted & there’s five others to try.

A must for those interested in wine
This company provides a fun, constructive and informative way to discover a uniquely curated range of wines from around the world. The wines arrive in recyclable packaging and the tastings are engaging and witty. Nothing seems too much trouble for Jamie, Alex and Dan, and they respond quickly to emails and orders through their online shop. Very much recommend if you are looking to expand your knowledge of wine and/or discover wines – some quite unexpected - from around the world.

Very useful tasting practice - particularly for fortified wines which are less likely to be drunk on a regular basis.

Interesting and easy way to experience new wine
Great set of wines for tasting accompanied by an interesting and fun streamed session with the Tasting Club team, who educated us on the specifics of how to taste, as well as wine regions beyond the usual places. For our first session we learned and tasted great wines across US and Canada. Highly recommend as a fun and effortless activity (plus good wine!)

Order was not delivered
Order was not delivered - courier APC claimed had tried to deliver and left a card but I was in all day and no card received. The store said they could not specify instructions to the courier, eg leave at back gate and that they could only have 1 re delivery attempt where the same thing happened again. Was told to collect the parcel from Kidderminster. Asked for Parcel to be returned to store and I received a refund. Whilst this courier is being used, I will not order again. Please note this review does not refer to the tasting packs delivered by Royal Mail which are always on time.

Hi Sarah, I'm very sorry that you didn't receive your wine. It's frustrating to hear that APC twice didn't leave a card when they tried your front door. We of course refunded you in full for this, as you note. I'm delighted that you point out we usually manage to deliver on time. We understand how frustrating it is when a delivery doesn't arrive; it would be lovely if you'd left some equally positive reviews for the ones where it did, though! The reality for internet companies is that we're entirely reliant on your current local delivery driver at the end of the day – which is out of our control – and they can be a bit of a mixed bag. All we can ever do is refund or try to make things right. On that note, we've been seeing a few problems with APC recently, so have just switched to DHL to give them a try. I hope you'll give us another chance and apologies again that it didn't work on this occasion.

Selection of wines was slightly disappointing. There are really good English wines matching the price of the package. But if I judged solely from what I’ve got, I’d say it’s better to stay away from English wines .

Hi Svitlana, thanks so much for your feedback. Sorry that you felt the wines weren't all up to your usual standard for the price point they're at. English wines are certainly relatively expensive at the moment due to the low volume made. One of the great things about wine tasting is that we can let you try a variety of different wines without you having to buy full bottles and take the risk. It's also about telling a story and there's no doubt that English wine had a really challenging few years in 2020 (frost damage leading to low yields) and 2021 (cold and wet). I fully agree that many of the wines from 2021 were not up to the best of England's recent incredible standards, but now you know that and have got a useful takeaway which is to seek out 2018, 2020 or 2022 vintages if you're looking to pick up a bottle of English still wine to drink! Hope to see you again for another tasting. You won't always love all the wines, as wines are often divisive, but you'll always learn something. All the best, Alex

Hi Darryl, apologies you didn't enjoy the Greek Islands tasting as much as the others you've attended.
In terms of the picture quality, we live stream using a 24 Megapixel Sony A7 iii Digital SLR with a prime lens, plus studio lighting, and the camera was perfectly sharp from where we were sat. Looking back at the recording, it seems our streaming provider ReStream has reduced the bit rate of the stream, making it low resolution on this occasion. Not sure why! Apologies for that, but that's the joy of live streaming – it's a set of tradeoffs.
Lee and I put in a huge amount of research into this tasting as it's one of the most complex ones we've done. With 227 Greek Islands, there was a lot to cover! Sometimes we do easy crowd pleasers and sometimes we do want to go a bit deeper in the Adventurer Series. Hope you enjoy the Discoverer Series :) Alex
