Too difficult to log in with 3 different types of verification why? No sense

A horrible service, it desynchronizes whenever it wants, impossible to resynchronize. The only "good" thing it does is to constantly suggest you buy more space. Terrible!!!

OneDrive is a cancer. If you try to remove it, it will just come back on the next update. It is too small, but will take over and infect your entire computer. It will give a redx to all your apps that are locally saved, and it is a pain in the butt to remove and required a lot of Googling for solutions. I have plenty of local storage and no need for a 10gb cloud drive to try and take over my more than 200 gb of files. It's ridiculous.

Anything you delete in Onedrive - you delete on your PC!

5 GB of free space is too small even for an average user. I always needed more space for my files.

Onedrive also messes up all you files on PC, because it creates duplicates of them and PC just can't recognize which ones are in use and your program or app won't be able to access them!

And if your storage is full, they don't allow you to use outlook! So, if you wait an important letter and your storage is full - you screwed! Because you won't receive any letter unless you free up the space!

Never use Onedrive! Delete Onedrive from your computer!

OneDrive Deleted My Files Without Permission – No Support Response

I’m extremely disappointed with OneDrive Premium. Without any warning, around 700 GB of my personal files were deleted automatically, leaving only the folders. I managed to recover most of them, but about 30 GB of data are permanently lost.

I contacted Microsoft Support and OneDrive Help Centre several times, requesting both data recovery and a refund, but I have received no reply at all. For a paid cloud service, this level of support and transparency is unacceptable.

I’m posting this to warn other users to be very careful with OneDrive — make sure to keep a local backup of your files, because the platform can delete your data without proper notice.

entre les fichiers onedrive pas synchro en local (2 pc) et ceux pas synchro online, c'est l'enfer. je ne peux plus synchro mes clients vu que MS juge bon de demander un code de sécurité, or contrairement à oultook on ne peut passer par authenticator ou autre 2FA pour autoriser onedrive, j'ai suivi les procédures je ne reçois pas le code (uniquement pour onedrive, tous les autres codes de sécu sont bien réceptionnés), l'aide online de MS ne ne résous pas le pb. Un service cloud payant à éviter de toute urgence.

The search on Onedrive has simply stopped working on all devices. When it worked it was very good, but now it is completely useless. It gives zero results when searching on a term I know to be the name of a file in onedrive.

Microsoft/OneDrive are crooks! They stole 200 mb from me! Without uploading anything, my capacity went from 13,8 GB to 14 GB within minutes and now I have less space! All files checked. Refreshed both app and PC multiple times, but in both platforms it says 14 GB!

I have been using OneDrive for quite a few years now and do not share the negative experiences of some users. Of course, there are sometimes issues with the synchronisation, but that is usually due to your own PC, laptop or your internet connection. I say usually, because yes, Microsoft also sometimes has an issue with the availability or accessibility of OneDrive. But with my years of experience, those can be counted on one hand. In short, I experience positive experiences and could actually no longer do without OneDrive.

Onedrive is THE WORST!
I tried turning it off, but it keeps filling up my storage with random stuff, so i dont get mails.
I am tired of having to delete stuff, just so im able to recive mail.
Make it easier for people to COMPLETELY turn off one drive.

OneDrive has been a hassle for me, as when I got my computer it was set up in a bad way by default I was not aware of. It tried to back up like my whole computer, so it instantly became full. I guess it worked decently, just having the occasional OneDrive isn't working error messages -> get more space here. But then now I tried disabling it by clearing out some space. I clicked unlink this account on my computer. I've tried deinstalling it too, but it didn't really help. Why is it so hard to get rid of the software from my computer? Now some of my steam games are broken since it tried to back up lots of files that I don't even want it to back up. I don't understand how it works and there are no clear instructions for how to fix my problems other than upgrading and paying for something I don't even use.

Maybe it is true that you sometimes lose your data, but that proves ones again that you must not relay on one backup only. Make sure you have also a backup on a external disk just to be on the save side.

Onedrive is super annoying, never works, trying back-up my whole pc whilst it has a 5 GB maximum and I never even enabled it. Typical.

Microsoft OneDrive is difficult and tedious to use. EXTREMELY unreliable. Does not keep same folder/file organization as uploaded folder/files. Does not recognize duplicates. Will not upload files/folders/photos from my Samsung phone. "Failed to Fetch" message appears frequently, and nothing will display and buttons non-operational. If you're looking for a safe, reliable cloud backup that you know will be there from day to day, OneDrive isn't it by a long shot. Not even as an included "service" of Office 365.

I transferred some very important files to the Personal Vault, supposedly the most secure part of OneDrive.
When I came to retrieve the data, all the directories were intact, but the files within them were gone.
It was easy to use, but reliability is THE most important factor in data storage. Without that it is worthless. Support could not retrieve anything.
If you do use it, copy the data to an additional storage device like a USB drive. But in that case, why bother with OneDrive?

This online software is so tedious to use. PowerPoint slideshows show as completely black screens and when editing text, what you see on screen is not what you get when you click away. I find it so unreliable that I have to download presentations before I can even think about using them. And they think that this justifies the high price?
