we paid £293.71 for oil which never arrived, eventually they refunded us £48.11!!!
do not take any risks with this company, we wasted hours and hours and over £250 and got absolutely nothinf from them

It would only be fair if the full context is taken into account. On our website, it is clearly stated that deliveries to the UK are subject to import duties. We have reminded you of this on several occasions.
If no action is taken on your side, the costs related to these duties must be deducted from the refund, which we have specified to you transparently. Therefore, the responsibility for this situation does not lie with us, but with you.

Oil for exclusive cars
I was looking for oil specifically for more exclusive cars — a specific type of oil that’s not widely available. I found it through the website and reached out via email with a few questions. I received a clear and helpful response. After placing the order, it was delivered within a few days as promised. I will definitely order again!

12 cans of 1 Liter Shell 5W30…
I needed 12 cans of 1 Liter Shell 5W30 oil for my Audi A4. It was easy to check which oil i needed. I did put the Product in my basket and placed the order at olieonline.co.uk !
Within 24 hours my oill was deliverd to me. I am very satisfied. They even sent me an invoice!

Beware of additional customs charges, not UK goods
Their web site gives the impression you are purchasing from a UK company, then after you have paid for the goods including delivery, you get customs charges. Buyer beware as the cost shown is not the cost you end up paying. I had to pay an extra £86 to get a £245 drum of oil. I could have purchased it cheaper in the UK if I was aware of the extra costs.

Our Dutch phone number is featured on all our pages and our Dutch addresses can be found on the homepage and other pages like Why Olieonline, About us, Payments, Shipping & Delivery, Returns & Cancellations, Contact us, Terms & Conditions and Security & Privacy. We deliver to over 80 countries using the Incoterm DAP most commonly; this is stated in our checkout page and order confirmation emails as well.
We have no idea how else to indicate that we are not based in the UK apart from what is already visible on our website or mentioned in emails sent out. Hopefully this clarifies things further.

Package arrived damaged and unusable
Can of oil arrived heavily damaged and unusable with half of contents missing.
The rest we dont know if was contaminated.
Company responded
"Sorry that is not possible. As explained on our site, metal packages might be dented during transport. So there is no reason to replace it. Because it has leaked a little, we will give you the credit as offered."
We spent £185.78 for goods we cant use and we were offered £10.00 refund!!!!
No interest what so ever

Geen pakket ontvangen en ook geen oplossing.

U bestelt als Walid Omar bij ons en u doet zich nu voor als Adam Van Boom. We hebben hier 19 e-mails voor over en weer over gestuurd en we hebben hiervoor meermaals contact met de vervoerder opgenomen. DPD bevestigt dat het geleverd is.
Uw pakket is door DPD geleverd met pakketnummer 05222730303866 op datum 20-3-2023 om 13:38 uur op de GPS coördinaten van uw adres. DPD ‘Proof of Delivery’ vermeldt ‘Received by:’ Omar met een handtekening. Ik weet echt niet wat wij nog meer zouden kunnen doen.
Great company, great service BEWARE CUSTOMS CHARGES
Starting with the positives, the website is great, user friendly and they stock almost everything. Customer service was excellent (Jos answering any questions or requests I had). A couple of items damaged in the post were immediately refunded. If it wasn’t for the below this would have been a 5 star review.
The negative, customs/import/broker charges when shipping to the UK. A large unexpected cost added to my order as I had the items shipped to the UK. If I had known this I would have looked elsewhere.

All deliveries to the UK are made under the incoterm DAP as stated on the check out page, order confirmation, invoice, shipping notice and delivery site page: https://www.olieonline.co.uk/delivery. This means that local import charges may apply. Which is also shown on the checkout page, order confirmation, invoice and shipping email.
We export to over 70 countries. It is most common to deliver using the incoterm DAP.
I hope this has given you more clarity.
Not good after BREXIT
Used to be good but they are a very expensive option in the UK now. Even though they have a .co.uk website everything is shipped from the EU. They charge VATS which isn't VAT its there surcharge for getting it through customs. But I still got charged 20% VAT at customs and 20% brokerage fee from the courier. Makes you wonder what there VATS fee actually pays for. AVOID!

VATS is a surcharge for variable costs that we incur. We want to make costs transparent to our customers and since Brexit they have obviously increased. It is not a TAX as it appears 0% on the invoice. The costs come from extra shipping costs for Express Shipping, Packaging repackaging material, Customs NL, UK border allowance (GB), Insurance shipping & extra administrative work. It is calculated with a formula. However, this is all too complicated to mention in one line so we have explained it here on our site.
As said we are transparent and our UK customers appreciate us for that, I am sorry you have not read our site properly because it clearly says: All deliveries to the UK are made according to incoterm DAP as mentioned on the check out page, order confirmation, invoice, shipping notification and site page about deliveries: https://www.olieonline.co.uk/delivery. Honestly I don't see where else we need to put it more. We export to over 70 countries. It is most common to then deliver using incoterm DAP.
