Ohms Renewables Uk Anmeldelser

Ohms gave me a very competitive quote for solar panels, a battery and inverter and an ev charger. I decided to go with Ohms not only because of the competitive quote but because their sales person - Jacob - was very communicative and helpful. I was reassured by his emails and what he had to say that Ohms would provide me with an excellent package and service.

Prior to the installation, and before I'd paid any money, an engineer travelled to the house (about 90miles away from the office) to carry out a thorough inspection which I thought was very professional and helpful.

Because of the emails and phone calls from Jacob and the on site inspection I was very happy to go ahead with Ohms.

Even though it was a reasonably large installation (for a residential property) it only took a day for the team to carry out the work which included repairs to the roof before the panels were fitted. They carried out the work professionally and properly.

The system has been working for over a week with no issues.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Ohms.

The Ohms Renewable team arrived on time. They were very efficient - the solar panel team worked on the roof, while the electricians set up all that was needed to connect the batteries and panels to the rest of my electricity supply. There were 14 panels to fit on the roof. They couldn't be fitted exactly as had been envisaged, but they quickly sorted out an alternative which is working well. Because there is very little room beneath my ground floor, fitting all the electrical wiring out of sight was challenging, but the electrician sorted everything out. Both the solar panels team and the electricians were very efficient and tidy. The elctrician also connected my phone to the App that is required to see how much solar energy is being produced at any time, and also how much energy was being stored in the batteries. He explained everything to me, including all the different numbers needed to let my energy supplier arrange a different electricity tariff. I am delighted with the result and would happily recommend Ohms Renewable UK to anyone considering getting solar panels fitted.

Fitted panels and battery's a few weeks ago. Large job managed to do it all on a day. Excellent service no complaints.

From my initial enquiry to final installation & commissioning OHMS were a pleasure to deal with.
The staff took time to explain how their systems worked & advised the best set-up to suit my property & requirements. Site visits by surveyor & installers were as scheduled & the site was left clean & tidy.

After seeking 3 quotations we went with Ohms because they carried out an onsite visit, took time to understood our needs, and were providing industry leading equipment at a very competitive price. The installation team were first class. We have been very happy with Ohms and we are equally happy to recommend them to others.

From the first visit by Kenny we were given a very full and accurate cost for solar panels; an air source heat pump and replacement of all our radiators with new pipework. And here's the measure of a totally professional company. I had concerns about the siting of the heat pump which was altered because we upgraded from Kenny 's original spec. Not only did they take my concerns seriously and slightly altered the position of the heat pump but they also arranged to have an engineer from the pump manufacturer visit to confirm that the new position would work efficiently. In summary we now have a very good green energy system thanks to OHMS' professionalism. (Special thanks to Scott,Billy, Nicole and Jacob in the office for their help and advice)

I would highly recommend this company.
From my initial enquiry everyone has been very helpful and supportive.
From Steve doing the survey, 2 Johns fitting the solar panels, + Johnny and Sam the electricians.
They were more than happy to answer my questions and explain everything.
Also had contact with Nicole and Billy in the office, who were also very professional and helpful.

We chose OHMS Renewables for a fairly substantial solar and battery installation at our new home, and overall we’ve been very pleased with both the installation and the finished system.

Our project involved 27 new solar panels, integration of our existing 9-panel system, a Sigenergy inverter and battery system, gateway/whole-house backup and the Sigenergy DC EV charger. It therefore wasn’t the most straightforward domestic solar installation.

Jacob was particularly helpful during the design and quotation stage, working with me to refine the specification and accommodate the changes I wanted. The installation team were excellent on the day — professional, friendly and clearly knowledgeable about the Sigenergy equipment. The standard of the finished installation is very good and they took the time to get a relatively complex system installed and commissioned properly.

OHMS also dealt with the DNO/G99 process, and we now have approval for 12kW export, which was an important part of getting the most from a system of this size. G99 Acceptance letter for application_LMAM-G99-55585.pdf

The electrical certification and warranty documentation followed after installation, with the work certified to the current BS7671 requirements and a six-year workmanship warranty.

Most importantly, we now have a very capable solar, battery, backup and EV charging system that is doing exactly what we wanted. I’d happily recommend OHMS Renewables, particularly to anyone considering a more advanced Sigenergy installation.

After much deliberation we decided to install a solar system with battery. We endured several presentations from large companies all proclaiming they were the best however after a phone conversation with Scott from Ohms we felt reassured we were making the right move. He provided the information we required with no sales nonsense and left us to make our own minds up with no pressure. We requested a quote and Jacob provided this again with no pressure and gave us space to consider our options. We were now confident we wanted to place our trust in Ohms and we have not been disappointed. Gordon the engineer visited our property to discuss the installation. A video was taken to show the installation team what was required and he explained how everything would work. Installation was a breeze with Calum and Sam doing the electrics and a further 2 roofers doing the panels. We had 18 panels and 10kw of battery installed in less than a day with no fuss and no mess. I would like to extend a huge thanks to all the team at Ohms for the friendly and professional approach. We are delighted with our system and we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ohms for your renewable journey. This is definitely the gold standard.

Excellent service from start to finish. Site personnel were very courteous and tidy as well as being very patient explaing the system installed. Would recommend

If you are looking for Solar installation then go with OHMS. We looked at and received several quotes from companies dealing with solar, OHMS were by far the most professional. They offered several costings for different arrays so we could choose the one that suited us. Other companies didn't listen and only quoted for what they thought we wanted. OHMS listened. They installed very quickly. The installation did end up over two half days instead of one, but this change was communicated efficiently and we were happy to go ahead.
We chose not to have the wiring up the front of the house and it therefore had to go under the living room floor. Initially we thought a good part of the floor required to be lifted but the joiner was amazing. You wouldn't know anything had been touched. He even came back after to do a small fix to the hall cupboard too.
The installers left no mess and worked away to complete the installation.
Communication with OHMS is easy with Nicole responding to emails and any calls we have had to make quickly.
The guarantees offer reassurance if any problems occur. Very professional company.

Recently had a full Ecoflo solar battery and car charger installed by Ohms Renewables. The whole install from the initial meeting through to install was seamless. Great communication from the office, always answering in a timely manner any queries that I had through to the installation team.

Installation was faultless with the electricians carrying out the install engaging with me on available options of cable routing and locations of the actual battery storage and car charger.

All in a great company to deal with and would definitely recommend.

Can’t praise Ohms enough. From start to finish a great experience!
Prior to install of my solar and batteries everything was clearly communicated, all of the many questions I had were answered promptly and I was given regular updates on next steps, progress.
On the day of the install the guys were amazing. Extremely efficient, left everything tidy and all together install was approx 6 hours start to finish.
Post install all paperwork was provided, they handled all the DNO processes including export MPan, I didn’t have to lift a finger 😊 A special shout out to Nicole who is a superstar!

Gordon from sales through to Dave the sparkle and his team we're very helpful with the whole process. I would recommend Ohms Renewables for your Solar Installation.

Had Gordon and Johnny over to discuss my solar and battery needs. Of all of the quotations I have received, I have so far found them to be the most knowledgable, most thorough, and the least pushy. Really professional, yet personable. Excellent!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars

Outstanding Service from Start to Finish

I recently had OHMS Renewables install a complete solar and battery system at my home in Bonnybridge, and I cannot speak highly enough of their professionalism and expertise.

From the initial survey through to final handover, every aspect of the project was handled excellently. Steve was fantastic during the initial consultation — professional, no sales pressure, and genuinely focused on building a package that suited my specific needs rather than pushing unnecessary upgrades.

Nicole Abernethy, the Operations Manager, was incredibly responsive and proactive throughout, keeping me informed at every stage and going above and beyond to resolve any issues that arose — particularly with the G99 DNO approval process, where her persistence resulted in full approval with no export limitations.

Billy was brilliant at following up on any questions I'd emailed, always quick to respond and helpful. The electrical team did a fantastic tidy job throughout the installation, and I was equally impressed by the solar roofer who came back a few days later to address a couple of small issues without question — that kind of after-care is exactly what you want.

The system itself is performing beautifully, with the Tesla Powerwall 3 and Opticaster AI optimisation delivering exactly what was promised — I'm already achieving 95%+ self-powered energy with virtually zero grid usage during peak hours.

OHMS didn't push unnecessary upgrades, instead recommending exactly what I needed. Their MCS certification, Insurance Backed Guarantees, and comprehensive handover documentation gave me complete peace of mind.

If you're considering solar in Scotland, I'd recommend OHMS without hesitation. An exceptional company with an exceptional team.

Highly recommended.

I had selected Ohms for an ASHP after their surveyor came over, he was thorough and had lots of time to explain the system and what was needed as part of the installation.
I was also going to get solar panels from a well known major UK company, and they let me down three times.
I rang up Nicole at Ohms and they confirmed they could install a better spec system in the time frame I needed.

The installation team were amazing, and it went so smoothly. At every step the team were able to explain what was needed and how long it would take.

The heating install team, Jim &Stewart were very hard working and really funny too. The roofing team Jimmy &Ross just got on with there work, it was quick , clean and tidy. The electricians, David, Kian & Sam again were diligent and hard working, explaining everything and were really conscientious.

If you want a good company, especially if you live in the Highlands, then Ohms are your team.

I was that impressed that am adding them to my companies approved supplier list.

I am very very happy 😁

First class service, friendly, knowledgeable, very experienced overall good quality work.
We had solar panels & two Tesla batteries
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Would highly recommend OHMS for Solar Panel installation. From the beginning of the process I.e. sales and explanation of system to the day of installation, everything went smoothly and as described. The fitters were a great group of guys, respectful and knowledgeable. A huge thanks to Nicole for all the email enquiries answered. The Walker family, Kilmarnock.

Install date 5th June wanted to have a month of using solar equipment and getting used to its requirement for me to get the best out of my system.
Spend a bit of time researching what I could have and the expected saving for my outlay once I had all that I needed to researched companies and Ohms renewable Uk come out for service and price. I was impressed with the service from quote to proposal agreement then a home survey this is where Johnny answered all my questions from position of panels equipment wiring what I could expect from my system so paid deposit 25% and had install date as 5th June the day started with roofing team James and Allen they installed all the brackets in 2 positions on my roof 13 panels in total little while later the electrical team arrived Cameron Taylor Steve no messing about straight into work once progress was underway Cameron installed App to me and wife’s phones connected to my WiFi there was a slight delay as the wind got up when time to put panels on roof so team took a wee delay and waited for correct time everyone on the team all helped each other
were knowledgeable and very polite I was kept busy suppling tea and coffee and some lunch a great team require nourishment.
The system on a sunny day provides me with plenty of energy for the home and the batteries are an essential add on to help when sun shine is not so great.
My biggest usage appliance is my 10KW shower even with full sun and batteries you will have to depend on using Grid energy it too high a wattage.
My electrical bill for May was £201 the total from 5th June to 3rd July £67
I estimated if I could half my monthly electrical bill I would be happy currently I’m at 79% solar using for my home I have an EV charger for car and currently get 6 hours of off peak and I use this to charge my car and batteries which means I’m all ready on a full charge when the day starts.
The whole experience from Ohms the EcoFlow equipment the App and the small changes you make when using electricity in the home
example wife put a washing on timer every night dishwasher on timer every night using off peak rates
yes my house has perfect south facing so I should receive full efficiency of my panels.
Summary please do your research check what electricity usage you use now and in the future
is the prices going to go down like life No
once high very little chance of reducing and this was my reasoning behind going for investment and was lucky had some savings so as I near retirement I don’t want to £200 month electricity bills
I hope you find some answers in this review
I still have a winter to go and I will try and place an update for that period of using equipment
