I have been using OFX for 8 years and never had any issues up until now. Funds used to last into my account sometimes as quick as the same day! I’m not sure what has changed with the company, but this time I have waited 4 business days with not even a respond to my email from customer service. Not even a confirmation email that my funds have been received. This will be my last transfer with this company and you have lost my service. Very dissatisfied.

OFX recently changed its dashboard, and I inadvertently put in the same transaction twice. Gabriella Duarte, out of the London office, came to the rescue. She patiently talked me through how to send the initial payment and return the duplicate funds to my bank. She was extremely professional, very knowledgeable about the platform, and very patient. I have been with OFX for about 15 or 16 years, and all of a sudden I need to send a video of myself to confirm who I am? WHAT?!! No, that is NOT going to happen. I went through all of the verification questions, but apparently that is no longer good enough! Well, goodbye OFX. There are other companies with better rates, and I have only stayed with OFX out of a sense of loyalty. Not any more!!!

I strongly advise against using OFX (UKForex Limited).
I attempted to transfer USD 14,000, and the transaction failed twice. OFX claimed internal or beneficiary validation issues but never provided any evidence or clear explanation.
After waiting over 20 days, I formally requested that the funds be returned to my original account. Despite this, the money was not returned promptly, and communication was extremely poor. Emails went unanswered and no proof of processing was provided.
As a result, I am currently in the process of filing a formal complaint with the Financial Ombudsman (FOS/FOA) due to the lack of transparency and failure to return my funds in a reasonable timeframe.
This experience caused significant stress and financial uncertainty.
I would strongly recommend that others avoid using OFX, especially for large transfers, as there appears to be serious issues with communication, transparency, and fund handling when problems occur.

Transfer was made by ofx to south africa back on the 6 November 9 i recieved an email to say Transfer has been sent to my sisters bank..in south africa nothing came through..she went to the bank three weeks ago..was told money was sent back..I have been ring ofx every time I speak to a different person..I was told it will take 20 days for the money to be returned back to my account..no update from ofx on how the case is going every time I ring am told the bank hasn't responded..to day I spoke to Gerad today on the 15/12/25 promised to get back today that hasn't happened..very bad experience will never use them again, this has caused me stress

I have been using OFX for several years to transfer funds from a US account to my banks in the UK and Spain. I have found them to be very reliable and very helpful in assisting with the transactions. It always seems to me that they cannot do enough to make each transaction action as smooth as possible, that is why I continue to use them and would not think of looking for. An alternative company to Handel my transactions.

Funds lost. OFX transferred funds to recipient in Australia promptly, however, failed to complete the transfer documentation completely so funds now not assignable to the correct Australia Taxation Office tax statement. The result interest being charged on this overdue amount to me. As if that wasn’t bad enough, three phone calls to OFX to have matter resolved have failed in any action being taken by OFX. Despite each call handler saying they would raise the matter to have the funds traced. I requested to lodge a formal complaint but there does not seem to be a process for this.
Do not transfer money to the Australian Taxation Office or anybody else with them because it appears staff are unable to correctly complete the transfer documentation from the information supplied to them.

OFX is very reliable with consistently excellent results and competitive pricing. The on-line tools are user-friendly. OFX is diligent in making sure transfers meet all local and international regulatory requirements before you process you transfer, which ensures a worry free transfer when submitted. The representatives are top notch! One person I've had the pleasure to interact with is Marco Coelho, who in the UK. Marco is knowledgeable, professional and responds promptly to all issues. I highly recommend OFX!

Excellent service and a ( reasonably ) competitive exchange rate -- other money transfer sites may offer a better exchange rate but it comes with a higher cost for their transfers

My business account has been under review for over a month, and I still haven’t received any proper response or update from the OFX team.
I have called multiple times and been told that my account manager, Sorrell, would contact me within 24 hours — but I have never received any call or follow-up. I have also sent several emails with no reply.
This delay has caused major inconvenience to my business, especially as I cannot access or transfer my funds. Very poor communication and customer service — I expected much better from a company like OFX.
Ive been using OFX for the last 5 years and have always found the service to be quick, effortless, and easy to use. The customer service team are also always quick to respond/help if you need it, or have any questions, which i find invaluable. (No overseas call centres!) Their online portal has also just been upgraded and is very user friendly and simple to manage all my own transactions, transfers and exchanges online. I would recommend OFX for personal and business use.
