Not gonna lie, my package was left out in the rain by the courier, seriously, leaving me pretty frustrated with the whole thing. Pretty let down, honestly.

It sucks it was good when it was let go but when it changed to offers up now it sucks now it trys to make you pay to sell or if I delete and repost now theres a limit a month on how much you can post to sell let go was free completely i sell more stuff on market place because I would not get anything sold on here

Offerup needs to be real with their traffic counts because the numbers that are being promoted can’t be accurate due to the fact that every item posted by anybody has a notification sent to the seller stating that their item needs a status update every two weeks. And of course, people are gonna click on that and go to the Offerup website for this nonsensical reason, hence a new traffic count was just added. This happens for every single item posted on Offerup every two weeks. The traffic counts that are promoted to get people to post can’t be authentic.

Nothing like being guilty before proven innocent! Deactivated my account due to them deeming I listed a counterfeit item. Where is the delete the damn listing button? I am unemployed & everything I own is for sale. The time I have invested in taking photos, researching & listing my items just so someone may buy an item for HALF my asking price so I could buy food..... Thank you so much for all your help during this stressful time in my life. Don't waste your time on this app.

This was a waste of my time. They deactivated my account due to a "system glitch", leading me to distrust their security.

My situation starts with OfferUp illegitimately suspending my account without any stipulated issue. I’ve become aware that this is a common practice with OfferUp because it’s a poorly run platform for selling. Because there is no genuine issue for suspending my account their refusal to my several attempts to reach out to them via email have been ignored. I plan on connecting with this many people who are having this issue and having these and other problems and issues with OfferUp motivated on social media and made available to more and more people every day for as long as I can, this is cost me money and time and the inability to connect with other participants on OfferUp therefore affecting their bottom line as well I would like for this review to not only reach The many people who need to see it to know what they are truly dealing with with this platform but also generate a viable boycott of OfferUp services if they don’t stand behind their ability to provide services without undo interruption, they don’t deserve to do services at all

Purchased a rubbermaid out door storage cabinet. Seem.ok at the parking lot meet up. Got it home noticed both doors were off due to the plastic hinges don't fit into their spots since the frame on both sides are bowed out. At the sale of course the guy said no problems.

Please don't use offer up for any reason especially if you're buying. It's all on u with zero recourse or offer up support. Spend the extra money at a store or online so.u have some pertection

I haven't been a member a week yet
And the first 2 days I had 3 messages and 3 deleted accounts before I even knew I had messages. I did see 1 or 2 of the possible accounts in my email. I have not yet sold anything yet yesterday I loaded 30 bucks onto my pay pal account and within that hour offer up takes 21.00 from me.. till this sec I don't know why I was charged for anything. I gotta pay to loose? I want my money BACK..M

I got scammed on this website , it was difficult to navigate and the OfferUp website directed me to scam verification websites

Be very cautious when selling or buying on offer up. I have sold a few items. The buyers were on time and legitimate.

There are a lot of people trying to scam others on the site. I reported a person that had 15 fake profiles. They were selling "dmv" services. My profile was removed after I reported the scammer.

The person is scamming people again with in 24 hours of being reported. Do not bother with offer up.

Go to website. Open account. List things. Get someone asking a question. Go to answer. I am not allowed unless I download app. Reluctantly I do, but want to use website for this. It says 'your device is not compatible with this app.' WTF? So I try another way and add a phone number and it says 'phone number not US based. WTF? It is a US based number. Try getting any support. They use AI. AI tells me to buy a new phone so I can use some garbage app. WTF? AI won't escalate to a human. Had to just delete the account, missed out on sales, and wasted 2 hours of my life.

Signed up & less than 30min later received an email that my account was permanently deactivated for violating Community Guidelines. lol how? This website is a scam to get ahold of your personal information.

I have lost count how many illegitimate sellers post items for sale of which few actually have them. In most cases when you ask one of them specific questions, they won't respond since they don't actually have the item. When reported support rarely if EVER removes the item or seller worsening the experience. As a top seller on Ebay this company should be shut down

Worst company in the world they have no phone number for any customer service only if have a business acct.If there is any problem you have to fill out a giant form which has no info on it and gets you no where.Find anyplace else to buy or sell an item.

I had items listed on OfferUp that were not moving so I tried to subscribe to the 3 day free trial to promote one of my items. Up pops my Apple account credit card information. As with most of these offers, the credit card information is provided to the vendor and you have the 3 days to cancel without penalty. If you don't they process the charge. Within a few minutes i became uncomfortable and immediatley cancelled the "subscription." I then checked my Apple account and saw the $19.99 charge on my account. I removed all of my items from OfferUp immediately and requested a refund. I was then told by OfferUp that I did not qualify for the trial because I used it 2 years ago so I was on the hook for a 1 month subscrition! Apple initially said the itme was non-refundable. Within a day, there was a second note that said the item was partially refundable for $17.xx so I was being charged like $1.60. Today, the partial refundable entry was absent and the charge was back to $19.99. I called Apple customer service and they said that the refund would in fact be credited to my account. This is not a complaint with Apple as they have been very courteous but essentially said the only thing I could do is file a complaint on Apple.com and let the community know about my displeasure with OfferUp . Buyer beware. OfferUp is unethical at a minimum

Offerup allows you to create an account on your desktop PC, however while looking around to see how to list items I want to sell, I find out you can only post items for sale while using a smartphone or Tablet...so you need to download their "app" to your phone too!.

I immediately deleted the account! This is stupid policy

I canceled my OfferUp trial, yet my card was still charged $27.98 through an Apple in-app purchase. I had already paid to promote my advertisement for three days, but it was a complete waste of money and produced no meaningful results.

🚩 Constant pop-ups pushing additional purchases
🚩 Previously useful features no longer work reliably
🚩 Extremely frustrating experience for sellers

The app now seems more focused on pressuring sellers to purchase additional promotions than helping them successfully sell their items.

In my experience, these billing and advertising practices feel extremely misleading. I want my $27.98 refunded, and I strongly caution other sellers to monitor their subscriptions and in-app purchases carefully before spending money on OfferUp.

I like OfferUp but whoever did the programming did not do a very good job it is very glitchy and using different devices it very frequently stops working and kicks you off. The messaging is also very problematic and the pages take a while to load. There are many negative reviews just like mine. Additionally, the affiliation with temu advertising on the OfferUp site is very annoying as often pop-ups come up which causes the screen to freeze or the app to stop functioning. I wish they would fix it and I urge others to complain although these days it seems like no matter what you do nothing works right.

TEMU is ridiculous on here..you get tricked into thinking it's a ad for something local and you get stuck on temus site which is hard to get off of. Truly RIDICULOUS!!!!
