I purchased a vase that cost $250. When UPS arrived they gave me a bill for $120. 50% of the cost of the item. If I wanted to have it returned The Oblist would charge me for shipping. Not cool. Beware

misrepresentation of product. Total Scam !
I am having a horrible experience with The Oblist. I purchased a Walnut writers box for nearly 590.00 delivered to learn that it was completed in Laminate and glued on and was not disclosed or represented in its advertising. Ultimately a Misrepresentation! I asked for a refund as a result and they want me to acknowledge a return and agree to an exorbitant return delivery charge more than half the cost of item. They are a scam company and not to be trusted. They never pick up phone to discuss. I have now disputed the charges. They are not to be trusted !!

After receiving your message, our Customer Care team invited you to submit your request through our returns process so that your claim could be reviewed.
As stated in our Terms & Conditions and Returns Policy :
" If an item you have ordered is not as described, is flawed or of a lower quality, you can return it to us and we will liaise with the partner to process the return. Once the item is received by the relevant partner, you will receive a full refund of the defective item, or alternatively a discount, replacement or repair for the item where possible, decided by us on a case by case basis."
Likewise, all return requests must be submitted through our returns procedure so they can be assessed individually.
At this stage, we have not been able to locate a completed return request associated with your order in our system.
If there has been a technical issue or your submission was not successfully received, our team will be happy to help you complete the process.
We invite you to continue the conversation directly with our support team so we can help you move your request forward.

We had a $70 tariff on a $130 order which ruined the experience. In fact Im still so angry I’ve not opened the package.

"Depending on your delivery address, different taxation rules and additional charges may apply. If you are shipping items from a Partner outside of your territory, you may need to pay import duties upon receipt of the products. We will notify you during the checkout process if import duties are included or you may have to pay them upon receipt of the products. If they are not included, neither we nor the Partner have any control over these charges and we cannot advise on their amount. Be aware before you buy
After ordering a $707 bench/pew, the money was taken out of my bank account immediately. A day later I was told that shipping would be calculated and that I would be informed as to shipping costs. About 3 days later I was sent an email saying that shipping would be about $567. I had the option to decline or accept. I declined and asked for a full refund. I was told that my purchase would be sent to an account support team member for review. I was told that I would be contacted asap. It has now been over a week and I haven’t heard from anyone about being refunded. Shipping should be calculated before making a purchase so that a consumer can decide whether it’s worth it or not before their account is charged.

As communicated on the product page, at checkout, in our Shipping Policy and in our Terms & Conditions : certain large or oversized pieces require a personalized shipping quote, as shipping costs cannot be calculated automatically. Once the quote has been prepared, customers are free to accept or decline it before the order is shipped.
We are currently working on improving our checkout experience and this will no longer be an issue.

Poor Customer Service
Beautiful website and curation. I ordered an item. My card was charged for the item and a $48 shipping fee. I received a notice that the item was not available, and that the price of the item would be refunded, but not the shipping fee. I messaged the email attached to my confirmation to inquire about the oversight several days ago, but still have not heard back. It seems like there is no human being checking the email communications, or no sense of urgency to address my concern.

Ma femme a commandé 3 articles sur The Oblist et tout s’est très bien passé. Les produits étaient conformes aux photos et le colis a été reçu dans les délais annoncés. Emballage soigné et expérience d’achat fluide. Rien à signaler, nous sommes satisfaits de la commande.

Je ne suis pas coutumière de ce genre…
Je ne suis pas coutumière de ce genre de commentaire, mais la prestation est tellement déplorable que je souhaite la partager. J’ai acheté la table GARRA sur le site The oblist à 2.320 € et payé des frais d’expédition de 230 €.
Voici mon expérience :
- délai d’expédition extrêmement long (+ de 6 semaines, indiqués sur le site c’est exact)
- livraison au pied de l’immeuble du plateau de la table lourd et volumineux (je cite le livreur « je ne suis pas payé pour la monter au 2 eme étage »)
- La table est livrée démontée sans aucune notice
- la table n’est pas « pré-percée » de sorte que c’est à moi de percer dans du micro ciment 11 trous par pied soit 22 au total
- enfin The oblist informé s’est contenté de m’indiquer « que vos commentaires ont été partagés avec notre fournisseur ainsi qu'avec nos équipes internes, »
Très déçue par mon expérience. Compte tenu du prix de la table, je m’attendais à un service irréprochable, ce qui est loin d’être le cas. Le niveau de service n’est clairement pas à la hauteur des attentes.
De plus, la table reçue est très différente du visuel présenté sur le site. L’aspect général, les finitions et le rendu ne correspondent pas à ce qui était annoncé, ce qui renforce encore ma déception.
Au vu du tarif, cette expérience est difficilement acceptable.
