Worthwhile upgrade
Very nicely finished and easy to fit once the old parts removed. Much more solid and rigid compared to the Grado plastic parts which are fairly flimsy for the metal enclosed drivers which themselves are quite heavy. It's great to be able to tighten the whole setup so they don't go out of adjustment.

Fits exceptionally. Sound is great: Bass is much energised, stage is a bit lower - but more focused.
Much better than L or G cush from Grado.

Impeccable Grado headphone upgrade

Love, my Grado Statement Series headphones. Amazing detail and stereo imaging especially with classical music. However, the original gimbal hardware was unfortunately not well conceived. My original right side gimbal rod broke after about a year of light usage. An identical replacement gimbal broke similarly within a few months. In frustration, I stopped using these headphones because it became clear that the original problem would occur again
Thankfully, Prezm Nyczaj manufactures a boutique upgrade solution for these headphones, including the gimbal, rods, and stop blocks. Additionally, he provides a super comfortable high-quality set of replacement ear pads and other parts.
The installation is easy and his illustrated instructions in English are very clear! My Grado headphones have a new lease on life thanks to this wonderful upgrade. I am enjoying these headphones more than ever and am confident they can now be used daily without the gimbal components breaking!
