Extremely rude customer service with absolutely no knowledge of anything. Obviously CS is in another country and has no answers to anything, waste of time to contact on top of being rude. I will never purchase from them again.

Like so many others here, I returned all the items for two orders totaling well over $300 Early March. The return is confirmed to be received by New York and Co as of March 20, 2023 but still no refund to my Ny&Co cc for one order or my Afterpay account for the other order 30 days later. I have called multiple times and get no resolution from the Customer service service representative. All they keep doing is reading from a script, telling me about the warehouse being backed up, and how only the warehouse supervisor can issue the refunds, and asking me to be patient. I have their cc and have been a customer for more than 20 years and absolutely loved their product. But since they’ve gone fully on line, they’re customer service has become nothing more than trash!! 30 Days for a refund?? Between this and the length of time it takes to get an order they have have placed a nail in the coffin and lost me forever!! I told them that I would be filing a complaint with the U.S. Attorney General. Like another consumer mentioned in their post, with all of theses similar complaints I feel like they are doing this deliberately and this is nothing short of fraud! Because if the roles were reversed in some way. They would be sending the consumer to collections!!😡

I have always like their clothes even before they became New York and Company. What is absolutely unforgivable is their return policy. No one should have to wait over two months for a reimbursement of a returned item. I have read other reviews and this reeks of a class action law suit.

Since the company went fully online, the quality of the material has declined immensely. I returned some items which were received on February 17, 2023 this receipt was confirmed not only by tracking number but by chat and phone representatives. They claim the refund will take 3 weeks, it has been 8 weeks and still no refund and account is incurring interest and monthly minimum payments are still due. If they are unable to provide a refund , imagine the length of time to reimburse funds paid to prevent late fees affecting my credit. I have been writing to them weekly about refund so they add small amounts of credits on my account and waived the return fee but I am still responsible for making minimum payment although I should have $0 balance upon reimbursement. The same way these credits are applied the whole amount due should be credited. I will no longer shop from them. The sizes are inconsistent, quality is poor, customer service is poor (they are very nice but unhelpful), not worth the hassle for the occasional sale prices. They should just close down completely.

It is the worst experience I have had with a store. I made a purchase and returned it the next day because the size was too big and more than a month has passed since my return and until now I have not received the money, I have called and sent a thousand emails and no one gives you a solution or answer, they only have people without any kind of education who do not give you any solution, please do not waste your money with this store

I sent my return and was received by them March 2, it is now 4.12.23 and they keep saying warehouse is under construction and backed up. They give no resolution and will keep lying. Do not buy anything from them. Awful company. Dispute your charges asap.

They are the worst My return was received on March 13, 2023 and on April 11, 2023 I still haven't received a refund. I called my credit card company to dispute it. You speak with someone in India that you barely understand, you ask for a supervisor they refuse to connect you with one and then tell you they will call you back which they never do. All they keep saying is the warehouse is backed up. I shopped there for over 40 years and now are the worst company ever. Its horrible how they treat their customers.

I ordered two items from New York and Company online in early February. They did not fit so I returned the items on February 28. It is now April 10 and I have yet to receive my refund or to hear from them. I have called twice and the customer service representative tells me the items were received on March 2, but the warehouse is backed up and slow in sending refunds. I will never shop again with this company and do not recommend it.

Update on April 24: I have finally received my refunds for my two returned items.

I will not order anymore because if you make and exchange they will not refund your money any time soon but they have no problems taking your money at the time of the purchase they keep giving you and excuse

This is the worst company ever. The worst customer service. I’ve been waiting for my refund for 3 weeks and still did not get it.

I returned my order and it was received by their warehouse on March 3rd. Numerous emails and no refund. Here is what they said: sort returns which means they have no organization and refunds will either not happen or they won’t be correct. This company needs to be shut down.

Returns have to be received within 30 days of the order date, which is especially ridiculous because they take a couple weeks to ship. Supposedly, per their website, returns take 7-10 business days to process. Seems long but I can deal with it if I know what to expect. My order was placed at the end of January, mailed back mid February, processed as received late February. On March 7th I called and was told I would have the return no later than March 20th. March 23rd I called in again. Representative absolutely refused to give me a time estimate to expect my return in and ended up hanging up on me when I asked for a supervisor. I called right back, again the representative would not give me a time frame. I was told no supervisors were available but that one would call me. Never happened. It is now April 6th. I still have not received my refund.

Looking online, I gather that others are having the same experience as I am. I will update this review if I ever receive my refund (which I doubt more and more every day that that will ever happen). I will never do any sort of business with New York and Company again. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Its been over a month that I returned a blouse and no refund. I feel like I lost my money. Customer service is reading off a script.
I don't think I will see my money. Is there something we can do ?

I used to love this store and in many ways, still do. I wish their brick and mortor would return. It's so much easier. The shipment takes so long. You pay for expedited shipment and your items are almost 2 weeks getting to you. They cannot blame the weather either!

Their website say returns are processed 7-10days.I feel this was premeditated when they closed the in person stores they knew they were about to rip us off our money through returns. I just want my refund and starting to feel that NY and Co is a scam. This was my last time ordering from this company.

Their customer service is terrible. When you email to ask about anything you get a canned response. I've been waiting for refunds for items they've acknowledged they received (after several emails) more than a month ago. Their reply is to restate the return policy on their website, which says that returns are processed in 7-10 business days. I've waited about 30 business days and have now disputed the charges with my credit card company.

Last month I emailed about exchanging an item and getting the same price. They wouldn't match the price because you have to request it within 7 days of your order. I received the order just over 7 days after ordering and found that one of the items didn't fit. I guess we have to be psychic now.

It's a shame because I used to really love this store before they closed all the brick and mortar locations.

I've been a NY&Co customer for decades. Cute, trendy clothing at a very affordable price. However, something has happened at their returns warehouse which is making me not want to order from them anymore. Ever since they shut their stores down, the online shopping experience has gone way downhill. Maybe it was always like that, but I didn't know it because I returned the items to the store, which they used to hate. I returned some items on 2/17. As of today, 3/23, no refund. I called them and after much checking, the rep said they got my return, but could not tell me when the refund would be processed, just kept apologizing. In the meantime I have to pay my bill to avoid a late charge, so I'm paying for stuff I don't even have. Eventually they will issue a credit (I hope) which will result in a credit balance. I will either have to buy something else or wait for them to issue a check for the credit. Ridiculously inefficient!! I came on here to vent because this is not the first time I've had a return issue with them. This has been an ongoing issue where they have refunded me for less than what I was due, or I've had to wait multiple billing cycles. I can see why people think they are now scammers.

What happened? This used to be my favorite 😭 now they can't even spell the word REFUND! It's spelled Dedund in the email they sent to me!! Make it 🛑 I've been waiting on them to credit my account for return since January. I just got the email today 3/17 my dedund is in process

If I could give it a NEGATIVE 1 I would. Its been almost two months and I have returned over $400 of items and still no REFUND. They just keep saying they are behind in processing returns, now I'm being charged interest in items that they have in their warehouse. DON'T BUY ANYTHING online from NYC.
