Deceptive Refund Tactics
Deceptive Refund Tactics – Avoid This Company at All Costs
I purchased from NuraBeam for $1,359.88 and later left two negative reviews based on my experience with their product and service.
After my reviews were posted, a company representative contacted me directly, asking me to delete both reviews in exchange for a **full immediate refund**. Their initial message: “As previously mentioned, please go ahead and delete the two comments so we can continue moving forward smoothly. I really appreciate your cooperation while we work through this together.”
I declined, as they had provided no prior resolution or earned any trust. They then insisted: “please remove them first and I’ll issue the refund right away.” They repeated variations of this multiple times, including excuses like “I’m just following my superior rules” and “I don’t have the power to decide that for them sorry but I’m just trying to help.”
We negotiated: I agreed to delete one review first and requested the refund before deleting the second. They refused, again demanding both be removed upfront with promises of an instant refund.
I ultimately removed the first review as a good-faith gesture. **Several days have passed with no refund issued—not a single cent.**
This experience has now dragged on for over two months with zero meaningful resolution. Their customer service appears designed solely to protect their interests (e.g., suppressing negative feedback) rather than genuinely helping customers.
**Strong recommendation: DO NOT BUY FROM NURABEAM.**
Their practices feel deceptive, particularly around refunds, subscriptions (as reported by many others), and review manipulation. Numerous similar complaints appear online about unauthorized charges, difficult returns, ignored emails, and pressure to remove feedback for promised (but undelivered) refunds.
I have escalated this matter by filing formal complaints with:
- FTC
- CFPB
- Arizona Attorney General’s Office
- BBB
- SEC
- DOJ Antitrust Division
I am also actively disputing the charges with my bank/credit card issuer.
Buyers beware—this company’s pattern of behavior is among the worst I’ve encountered in online retail.
