We Are NUCO have been getting students to the mountains since 2012. As The Home of x, we’ve helped thousands of students hit the slopes, and we’re not slowing down.
What is We Are NUCO?
We’re the student-facing arm of NUCO Travel, based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. We organise university ski and snowboard trips to the Alps and beyond, working directly with university snowsports clubs and committees across the UK and Ireland. We handle everything from transport and accommodation to lift passes and events, so university ski trip organisers don’t have to juggle it all themselves. As part of the NUCO Travel Group, we’ve helped take over 100,000 people to the mountains to date.
What’s included in a We Are NUCO ski holiday package?

Which ski resorts does We Are NUCO cover?
We run trips to resorts across France and Andorra, including Alpe d’Huez, Avoriaz, Tignes, Val Thorens, Val d’Isère, Les Deux Alpes, Méribel, Risoul and Pas de la Casa. University clubs we’ve worked with have travelled to resorts including Les Deux Alpes, Risoul, Tignes and Pas de la Casa in recent seasons. Val Thorens, one of our most popular resorts, sits within the Three Valleys, the largest linked ski area in the world.
Do you offer group ski holidays?
Group travel is our bread and butter. We work with university snowsports clubs and societies of all sizes, from a handful of committee members to trips of thousands of students. We coordinate transport, accommodation, lift passes and events under one booking, so club organisers aren’t chasing separate confirmations.
What makes a We Are NUCO trip different?
Our resort reps run the trip on the ground and, alongside our account managers, are core to the We Are NUCO experience. Every trip also includes a full events schedule, from mountain yoga to open-air festival stages.
How do I know my money’s safe?
For UK bookings, we’re ABTOT protected, so your payments are safeguarded in the unlikely event of financial failure. For bookings made in EUR, your payment is protected under a separate insurance policy arranged to safeguard customer prepayments, in line with the Package Holidays and Travel Trade Act 1995 for our Republic of Ireland customers.

Great experience
The trip was so fun! It was my first time skiing and the Nuco rep Campbell really helped me manage my nerves and overcome my fear of the slopes. 10/10 would def recommend.

Good trip... a fair bit of bad organisation
The trip was overall good, the mountains and the skiing (lessons too) were very enjoyable.
However, several factors were really not well organised. NUCO split up our group of 5 into two different apartments, putting 3 of us in a room with 3 other people who did not know each other!! (So for no reason... we asked to keep the group together.) It was only thanks to one of us contacting the other people originally allocated to our apartment that we managed to stay together.
The room reps were kind, but simply not particularly useful, and insistent on asking for good reviews. The information room reps had to read out regarding cleanup at the end of the trip was too general, and they themselves did not know how much of it really applied to our specific accom...
NUCO reps in general were nice, friendly and approachable around the resort, happy to give directions; live chat responses were also quick which was good.
Also, procedure to recover lost equipment at NUCO-run event (Mega Après, went missing from the area where NUCO supposedly kept an eye on it) was terrible and yielded nothing. (Have emailed directly, I hope this does not happen again.)

We’re sorry to hear about your disappointment with the accommodation allocations. With just under 3,000 passengers on the Varsity trip and 590 apartments ranging from 2 to 16 beds, it isn’t always possible to accommodate every friendship group together in a single apartment. While we always do our best to keep groups together where logistics allow, this unfortunately can’t be guaranteed.
As outlined in the rooming allocation email, the friendship group system is designed to ensure you’re allocated with or close to people you know, even if a full group cannot always be allocated together.
Thank you as well for your feedback regarding the room reps, the end of trip cleaning information, and the process for recovering lost items at events. We’ll be reviewing this feedback to ensure our guidance and procedures are clear and effective, and to identify where improvements can be made.
Thank you again for your detailed comments. We hope that you still had a great week overall and plenty of positive memories from the trip.
I really enjoyed the Varsity trip at…
I really enjoyed the Varsity trip at Val Thorens! NUCO was amazing, I met the lovely rep Matilda on the coach ride there & got plenty of skiing tips so I was able to make the most of my week as a complete beginner.
Our room rep Lucia was also lovely, so friendly & great at solving problems while we were there. On the 5th day I had lost my wristband while I was out skiing and I didn’t know what to do but Lucia handled the situation so well and ensured I got another wristband so I could go out that evening!
I would 100% recommend NUCO and the reps are amazing, especially Matilda & Lucia & if you have them you are in good hands xx

Great experience
Super excited to come back to 3 valleys for this year‘s varsity! It’s the best place to ski (esp vs Tignes). Well managed, and friendly and supportive staff. Special shoutout to Johann, who is super helpful and nice. Will come back to varsity and recommend all my friends :-)
