Looked up possible changes and viewed quotes. Then was informed by my current provider I was swapping and they have cancelled my account. When no swap was put into motion at all.

It was a very easy process

It was a very easy process - Nous found the alternate mobile provider for me at a lower monthly price and gave an overview of the new provider. I was able to ask questions and compare. The switch itself was seamless.

Amazing service

Amazing service, always kept up to date and really smooth service. Also it’s so nice not having to do anything but knowing it’s all being taken care of so I can get a better rate on my bills.

Super easy to use

Super easy to use and handled everything to do with my mobile switch for me, saving around £200 a year! Would definitely recommend.

Proceeding without your consent, completely out of order

Absolutely livid. I clicked on an influencer link to explore what Nous could offer but abandoned half way through as decided it wasn’t for us. A week or so later I’ve just had email from existing provider saying I’m leaving and an email from a new one advising me of a direct debit coming out in the next few days?! Apparently they send you a quote and if you don’t respond they take that as a yes to continue taking your money and switching your bills. I have no idea how they are able to do this without your approval. It’s also Friday evening and now being told their office hours are Monday to Friday. This is appalling I’ve never had anything like this happen before

We’ve looked into your account and can confirm that the switch you mentioned was cancelled on Saturday morning, and you should have received confirmation of this. I’m sorry this situation caused concern, particularly heading into the weekend.

No consent

Signed up, the concept is great. They started switching my energy provider without my consent !! I wouldn’t have even known if the new provider hadn’t emailed me.
The switch isn’t even cheaper, it’s more expensive than what I pay now.
The new provider has ran a hard search against my name also which will affect my credit score - it’s really not on.
I have contact Nous asking to stop this switch but I’m yet to hear whether it’s been resolved.

On the pricing point, we only recommend or switch customers to deals where the unit rates are expected to be lower than their current tariff at the time of switching. Monthly costs can still vary depending on usage, which can sometimes make it appear higher even when the underlying tariff is cheaper.

In terms of credit checks, it’s standard for energy suppliers to carry out checks when setting up a new account. We communicate this clearly in the messages we send ahead of any switch, and provide customers with time to review and opt out if they’d prefer not to proceed.

Nous were amazing

Nous were amazing, they pretty much do everything for you to sort out helping you save money on your bills! I'd definitely recommend them!

Easy process

Managed to save on my gas and electric with nous. Really easy process that they did all for me. Getting a refund from my previous provider as well which is a nice bonus. Looking forward to seeing what they will find for my broadband!

Excellent

Excellent. So quick and easy to use. Huge savings on my broadband contract, all set up for me. No fuss or faff. Fantastic customer service and communication. Really recommend.

Switched without consent

The idea is good and I signed up and gave some details as I wanted an idea of what I could potentially save however I’ve then received an email saying my energy switch is in progress. I never asked or consented to my account being switched, I didn’t even ask for quotes. I don’t want any switches taking place unless I consent to it! I’ve since learnt that my account was on a mode that suggests I wanted this option. I do think it needs to be made clearer that if you choose this mode the switch will happen regardless of if you say yes or no beforehand. I did get in contact with support who were very quick to reply and cancel the switch so I cannot fault this aspect of it. I also still think this can be an excellent app, I just think that it needs to be made clearer exactly what you’re signing up to for each mode as I would have selected the option that I now have had I known before what would happen.
