Booked their lounge for 3 July at Jersey Airport for £76. On arrival the lift was out of action and with my wife in a wheelchair we were unable to climb the multiple steps to use it through no fault of our own. Contacted No 1 for a refund and they have now agreed to refund me. Thank you Jaimie B
Lounge it is not! Save your money.
We booked No1 Lounge Gatwick North and what a disappointment.
Looking to escape the packed departures area we were shocked at the chaos of this overbooked, unclean mess.
Having hunted for a seat (and with people constantly arriving) it was clear this place is completely overbooked.
When we finally got seated we headed to the food to be presented with a lukewarm selection smaller than our own kitchen 😂. The usual buffet fun ensues with the mix of people seeing how much food they can fit on a side plate and people who find it acceptable to handle and cough over all the food whilst creating a total mess.
The carpets are dirty, the staff sadly look beaten and cannot even muster a smile.
The last lounge we tried was Escape at Bristol airport which was large, bright and clean with a reserved table, a good food selection and warm friendly staff.
Given the choice between the terminal or this lounge at Gatwick is a tough choice which for the price is sad. We tried Plaza Premium last time and that was almost as bad. It seems the sheer size of Gatwick means that they feel anything is acceptable so long as they have your money. A sad reflection of modern day cost vs service and quality.
Dreadful lounge
I booked this lounge for 3 hours, only to be told when I arrived at the allotted time that I was too early. The 3 hours starts 3 hours before your flight is due to take off. Bearing in mind that you will generally be called for boarding an hour before take off, this only gives you two hours, and not the three I had paid for. The lady who dealt with me on reception was most unhelpful and frankly rude in her manner.
The website claims to serve a selection of beers, wines and spirits. This is simply not true. There was only one beer available, and one red and one white wine only. This is a long was from the information on the website.
Food was acceptable and the staff in the lounge, other than the receptionist we dealt with, were generally good.
I would not recommend No. 1 Lounge and won't be using them again.
I cannot fault No1 Lounges
I cannot fault No1 Lounges The service and food in all the airports that I have used are good quality and the experience is well worth the cost. More than that. The service from Head Office and in particular an agent by the name of Jaimie B could not have been more helpful. I lost all of my booking details due to a mistake of mine and Jaimie was able to quickly resend them with just the date and necessary security and identity check. Brilliant.

A typically third rate British consumer experience. In spite of mentioning this for 5 years, you still have to drink an espresso from a mug - imagine that elsewhere in Europe…
Where might I get some toast? You can’t. Are there any biscuits? Nope.
Lounge full of portable a/c units - thank goodness it wasn’t a hot day.
Loud piped music.
And for £96 for two. A far shadow of a decent airline business class lounge.
Go elsewhere.

Used lounge 1 on 18 May 2026 for the 1st time and it will be the last.
Hot food bland and not a good varied hot dishes available. Crackers and cheese, bread and butter, One soup and not much. Free drinks alcoholic and hot drinks, there was one bar tender there with a very long queue it was busy that day and tables left with food on overall, not what my sister and I expected and would not recommend at all and definately will not return. Better off spending money elsewhere.
