We always get our foreign currency from Mays in bury through number 1 currency. We order online for a slightly better rate than if we just walk in to the shop and if you do order online the rate is guaranteed.

Good communication, normally plenty of staff, can order in advance & pay for buy back service. Very open and transparent, staff are polite and it’s always very clean. Near to Edgeware statin on Northern line and best exchange rates guaranteed. I personally always use it and there are places nearest me 🙏🙏

I visited No1 currency, Ludgate Hill yesterday and needed £1400 of US dollars in small bills. Nihal Jayatilaka served me and was really helpful and actually managed to make it possible for me to get the money in small bills.

The young woman at the No 1 Currency desk in "Elys" (Wimbledon) at 10 am 2 March 2026 was both friendly and competent. She answered my request for low denomination dollar bills quickly and efficiently. With a fair rate I was pleased to pay in cash.

Sell at £10 for 530TL.
Buy back 530 TL for £7.79
A loss of £2.21 or a mark up from 53 to 68 of 12.8%
The difference in the buying and selling rates is huge!!!

I have used no.1 currency many times. I have used the click and collect on these occasions. I find the system very slick and when picking up my currency at the shop the staff have always been efficient, helpful, pleasant and polite. I can honestly recommend no.1 currency to anyone. There online rates are very competitive.

I arrived just before closing time on Friday to collect my currency. The lady manager who served me couldn't have been more helpful, efficient and pleasant. Thank you.

i went to get my order off 920 euros today using 700 English pounds and 100 northern Ireland pounds sterling. they refused to accept the 100 pounds in northern Ireland money as it was not English sterling well yes it is sterling i found this unacceptable as northern Ireland is not a second class country and their notes are acceptable in uk.... i got home and rang no 1 currency about it she laughed at me and said i will get my supervisor she went off for 5 minutes came back and said supervisor was in a meeting i find this behavior unacceptable as a customer please rectify northern Ireland sterling is acceptable in uk...How ironic that is was an exchange office that would not exchange fuming!!!!

I’ve placed the order and next day went to make an exchange to which I’ve been told by a store that they don’t have enough cash so they can’t do it. What is the point of me ordering it online? Rate is only valid for 48 hours as well. Don’t use it as it’s pointless.

Quick, efficient and friendly service. I have been using Crawley branch for a few years now and have always had the best service. Very happy with them.
