Just got a stage 1 remap on my g42 220i bmw.
Last time I inquired my ecu was locked and no date was available. I left my details with Robert and was told he would contact me when it was available. He contacted me a couple of days ago and the rest is history.
Initially the change was noticeably the throttle response ( a lot more instant ) but torque and power are way better . Where I would be doing 50 I’m now doing more like 65-70. Claimed power is now 264bhp up from 184bhp and torque is now claimed 440nm up from 300nm.
I’m using the power more as Robert said so my mpg has gone up a bit but on a long run I’m sure it will be the same or a smidge better which in my opinion is an excellent deal for such a performance improvement.
I’m contemplating a gearbox remap in the future but not until I’m fully used to the improved driving experience.
It’s been a worthwhile upgrade in my book and can fully recommend the excellent mobile service that Robert provides.
