Stay clear from The Next Erin Sofa!!!! After 5 weeks of having this couch bearing in mind it is a couch that is in the spare room so isn't used daily it has dents where you sit, you can't get out of them. It hurts my back and legs sitting, how on earth this can be passed for a seat is beyond me. The engineer that came to look said it looks like what you put in beanbags ,small bits of foam. I was having to turn the cushions at least twice daily to use it but I've now given up. I will take this further if I don't get refunded. STAY CLEAR FROM THIS!!!!!

Online order lost and no communication to tell me this

I ordered a belt online (on a Thursday)to collect from my Nottingham Victoria Centre store. I was told that it would be at the store on the Monday after 1pm, but to wait until the store informed me that it was ready for collection. By Friday I had heard nothing and I needed the belt by the following Sunday. I used the online chat service to be told that the store had lost the belt and I could reorder or get a refund. I chose a refund and put in a complaint. I was offered a £5.00 e-voucher to use at the store and this was considered a resolution. I will never use Next to order online again. Jean Hart

Stamford Button Back Sofa - RUBBISH!!

We purchased the Stamford Button Back Sofa at the start of November 2025. By the middle of December it felt like the support had gone as when we sat on the sofa we ended up nearly on the floor! Contacted Next in January (we had a newborn so it wasn’t high on our priority list) and they send a technician who said the cushions were faulty. He ordered more which were delivered to our home address at the end of Feb. We then had to contact next ourselves to get someone to come and replace the cushions as they are notoriously difficult to replace, we got an appointment over a month after the cushions were delivered! So we had the replacement cushions in our small kitchen for over a month! Cushions have been replaced and we were told we need to rotate them daily (?!?) to keep their shape, it’s been 3 weeks and they’re already loosing the shape and sagging again!
Extremely poor considering we paid over £1700 for this sofa. Do not buy it!!

Disappointed with my sofas

I bought two sofas from next less than two years ago
I live alone and my sofas do not have hard use.
The sofa that I use the most is looking saggy and flat
I complained to next and they sent out a technician who pummelled the seat cushions and filled them with air. He said they will go flat again as soon as you sit in them due to the fact that next use cheap layered foam and not solid foam
I told the technician that I am 74 and have arthritis in my hands and wrists and I am unable to pummel the cushions as he had done
Next contacted me and said there was nothing wrong with my sofa cushions they just needed ‘conditioning’ ie pummelling
The cushions have gone flat again as the technician said they would
I would not buy a sofa from next again and I advise anyone thinking of buying one not to
I am very disappointed with the way my sofa looks and disappointed with the response from next.
I don’t think they give a damn

Catfish couch

Catfish couch, looks nice then very quickly becomes a dishevelled uncomfortable mess. We unfortunately learnt our lesson and will never buy a couch from Next again. Over £1200 we paid for a couch from the Erin range 3 years ago after testing many in the Next shop near us. Seemed like a perfect fit for us, until the couch loses it's shape so so quickly you'll find yourself having to plump the couch everyday multiple times a day, or you'll feel like you're just sitting on the frame of the couch. We have had the couch 3 years, and very quickly it lost shape, despite taking good care of the couch. And it also looks like crap now.

We contacted Next who weren't interested in rectifying this so had to pay out another £300 to a private company to create new filling for the inside of the couch. The guy from this company we hired said it's some of the worst inside filling for a couch he has seen and the couch itself is poorly made. He said the filling for the couch provided by Next is made of spare second hand parts of foam that they shred up wrapped in a lose netting, so that explains it all really.

Purchased large and extra large Erin…

Purchased large and extra large Erin relaxed sofas. After calling the customer service team they did say they had a lot of complaints about the cushions losing shape. They advised they would send out someone from the Furniture care team. An Irish man told us that the cushions are “notoriously sh**” and after he fluffed the cushions up he took photos and reported back there was no manufacturing problem. It was a case of “dressing”. I asked if part of the daily ritual would be to fluff up the cushion lbs twice a day after use why was this not part of the advice given when purchased. They said it is on the care labels. Do not purchase!!!!

Terrible sofa and delivery experience…

Terrible sofa and delivery experience from next afer having issues from A previous company I thought to give next a chance.

I purchasee the stamford chase from there clearance which I now regret. One day of owning the sofa it's so uncomfortable to sit on, all cushions look filled and lumpy.

Sit On the sofa snd you sink and it all goes wrinkly and looks like it's years old.

You have to constantly move the cushion every time you sit down.

The zip also came right off one of the seat cushions on day one so now I have to wait for a technician visit to come and look at all my issues which is just an excuse to make you keep the sofa this isnt my first rodeo with this.

never mind the consumer rights of the customer again i can see this going to ombudsman and small claims.

The delivery DHL apparently but saw no DHL van or uniform on delivery a 2 man job took 3 people to come up with a sofa banging it all the way up the stairs., manhandling a neighboiurs property in the process on the way up to my flat causing me issues.

Drivers Never acknowledged me, delivery was to much effort for them. made me sign for delivery and left.

Yes the last company sofa was bad but not as bad as this stamford grand sit chase.

at least they could deliver and remove safely. Nothing was an issue and atleast they acknowledge there customers.

Save your money the prices are just over priced they do not reflect the quality of the goods.

Waste of money-Erin sofa.
Within a week of owning this 3-seater sofa the cushions were hollowing out and as flat and uncomfortable as if we had owned it for 10 years. We turned the cushions as advised and still the same issue. Next do not want to know once it has been delivered and £2200 and a year later, the sofa looks worn and is horribly uncomfortable. Can't afford a replacement. Shame on Next for removing the facility to review large furniture items on their website.

Spild af tid og penge

Bestilte sengelinned til dobbeltdyne, i farven ferskenrosa, det var brunrosa, og aldrig set noget der minder om fersken/orange. Pude der skulle være solgul, var sennepsgul, og iøvrigt virkelig ringe kvalitet. Pudebetræk (sengelinned) der skulle være solgule, var karrygule. Spild af tid, penge og retur porto. Køber intet der igen.

I order Hartley relaxed 2 and 3 seater…

I order Hartley relaxed 2 and 3 seater sofas . The delivery was good although the sofas are the worst I’ve ever had !!!! After 15 mins of sitting on the cushion they are lumpy and uncomfortable even friends and family agree so not just me . Would never ever purchase furniture again from next . I’m hoping after the sofas have been inspected by a next furniture professional they will be refunded or credited , awful awful sofas

So disappointed, poor quality

Bought a sofa from Next in August 2024 and by May 2025 had to have a technician out as it was creaking when you sit/move or stand up from the sofa and the cushions were going out of shape. Technician plumped up the cushions and removed the bottom cover to inspect inside the sofa but found there to be no manufacturing fault. The sofa has light use, I live alone.
Now in Jan 2026 and the sofa creaks terrible, even when my dog climbs off and on it! I also have the noted garlic/onion smell coming from the sofa mentioned by many others. The smell is so bad I have to leave my living room door open permanently otherwise it’s so strong! Would never recommend anyone purchase a sofa from Next, terribly disappointed and still paying for the sofa.

Poor delivery service

I should have checked the reviews before committing.
Absolutely appalling service. The driver said he will get fired if he scratches the vehicle so he won’t risk going between a space big enough for two dump trucks. This is after delaying me for hours.

Too long a wait for new sofa!

Ordered and paid for a Mallory small three seater sofa at the end of August 2025. Promised delivery in 11 weeks certainly in time for Christmas. First email apologised for delay and said it would possibly not be with us until February although there was a chance it could be in before Christmas! Second email received said delay until March!! As my husband commented he could have had a new car built to order in less time. Not impressed at all with Next service. Have cancelled order and now have to rethink what we require and if we should chance another sofa from next. In the meantime no sofa for the family gathering at Christmas.

Erin chaise - most uncomfortable sofa

We bought the Erin chaise sofa from Next a while ago and it’s the most uncomfortable sofa. The chaise cushion in particular has flattened on its edge and won’t plump up. The filling is just foam pieces wrapped in fibre material- absolutely not worth the price and clearly would never be supportive enough to retain a cushion’s shape. I have tried adding more foam pieces to it but that hasn’t worked. Short of getting completely new and different filling, the sofa is just unusable.

Quality of sofas are poor

Quality of sofas are poor , cushions go out of shape , not even 2 months old and they have flattened, , would not buy another one and I would urge people not to waste their money .

Check it's not DIY

The lead time on 2 Mallory sofas was 11 weeks, but there was a delay and then I was told there was possibly a further delay, with mention of possible compensation. I received a message before the date of the second anticipated delay - so I assume that was the end of "compensation"! On the day of delivery, the sofas turned up reasonably on time despite a txt saying there would be a delay of an hour. The delivery men dropped the furniture and left. I asked them "aren't you fitting the legs?" The reply was "Can't you do it?". They didn't unwrap the furniture to check it, I was left to struggle with the packaging, turn the sofas the right way around, and fill my bin with the packaging. There are still no legs on the sofas , that's a job waiting for my family when they can get here in 2 weeks time! So far, despite almost sitting on the floor, I am pleased with the sofas but not the service. Seems like Next have outsourced delivery to the cheapest available, it was a wet day, nothing put down to protect my floors, just little things that really mark good service. I don't even blame the delivery people, they do what Next tell them to do. I waited a couple of days to see if Next asked for feedback, they didn't, so obviously they are not interested in customer satisfaction.

Nasty

Subject: Urgent Complaint – Faulty Suit from Next Fenchurch Street Store

Dear Simon Wilson and Store Manager,

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and disappointment with a suit I purchased from your Next Fenchurch Street store. The product quality is absolutely unacceptable. On my very first wear today, the button tore off. Honestly, what kind of quality control does this reflect?

I paid for a proper, durable suit — not something that falls apart immediately. This is ridiculous and needs urgent attention. I expect the suit to be either repaired immediately or replaced without any hassle.

Please address this issue at once.

Aldrig mer!

Beställde tre plagg den 9/11. Två dagar senare fick jag meddelande från posten om att dom fått en beställning på en leverans till mig. Efter det hände ingenting. Inte förrän den 18/11, då får jag ett mejl från hemsidan om att dom tackar för min retur!! Samtidigt får jag mejl från Klarna om att min faktura är annullerad. Sämst! Det var dom julklapparna!
