Newquay Camping and Leisure Anmeldelser 

On a recent visit to Newquay Campings new out of town location these guys have asked if I would leave a review of the last product I purchased from them. Not something I usually do. ( to lazy to do one) They gave me great advice on a Vango drive away awning for my Campervans. Great product, great service and at a very competitive price. Have always used these guys in the past and will certainly use again in the future. Wishing you guys good luck in your new premises for the future.

What a wealth of knowledge these lads have ,they helped to steer us in the right direction in getting our latest purchase of a drive away awning, which we are over the moon with. We have used them in the past for our other camping equipment outdoor chairs , table cadac when we started camping in our van some 3 years ago. We have recommended them in the past to fellow campers and will in the future.

Needed a few camping bits for our trip last month & these guys sorted us right out. They are incredibly knowledgeable & made our shopping experience stress free. Highly recommend!

I have just read similar poor reviews on here.

I had emailed the company using
info at newquaycampingshop as I used a Vango tent - purchased from this company late last year - for the first time and all three main poles shattered after pitching in unusually windy but not gale force conditions. So after one use my tent is rendered useless.

I have rang their store no less than 5 times for some replacement sections to be issued since they did not respond to any of my communication by email. No evidence of any effective customer engagement.

Each time I felt I was being fobbed off as they rushed to get me off the phone and wouldnt satisfactorily answer my questions. I asked for callbacks but they never happened. As I felt I was getting nowhere I decided to bypass this company and to deal with Vango directly. Unsuprisingly, Vango had no record of any replacement supplies being issued to my home address nor in my name.

I eventually receieved a pack of replacement poles after persistently calling Newquay Camping but these were of an insufficient quantity and an incorrect diameter
so basically ineffective. By now I had lost two weekends of planned camping trips. It was quite apparent to me that they spent no time looking at my complaint and had no real desire to help me to resolve my issue.

So, they got what they wanted from me
in the end. I gave up, 'walked' away and placed an order for a replacement set of 3 main poles at a loss to me.
However, I am putting my effort into writing this review and I am now dealing with Vango directly.

Hopefully you will read this review before placing an online order.

Very disappointed.

What an appalling company. Do not buy from these people as you will not receive what you bought. You will not get any reply via email, left messages on their Voice Mail or any communication of any sort from this company. Thankfully, I paid via PayPal for the items that I wanted from them and PayPal have reimbursed me. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for the goods you require.

Terrible aftercare… purchased a Vango sofa set (£250) to later find out two if the chairs won’t hold the air!

Tried making contact with Newquay camping on three occasions, they obviously don’t care much for there aftercare!

Purchase with caution….

I ordered the wrong bedroom for my tent and refund issued right away with no issues, would recommend

Moronically, I failed to check uktrustpilot prior to placing our order with NC&L (something I almost never do). Had I done so, I would not be here writing this review as I would have avoided this company altogether. DPD has delivered the parcel to a stranger at a different address. NC&L have essentially left it to me to chase to somehow get the parcel retrieved from the stranger and delivered correctly to us. The concept of customer service is alien to this company - they could not care less if they tried. Kicking myself for having been so stupid as to not avoid this company. Be warned. We will absolutely be taking it further.

Ordered a cooker .
Delivery was delayed 5 times by DPD not Newquay Camping fault BUT terrible communication from Newquay never rang back when promised.
Refused to answer phone , then would pick up and cut me off.Cooker eventually arrived 6 days late.
Terrible company avoid .

I ordered an awning kit that was showing as in stock and had express delivery option. Phoned next day to confirm that it would arrive in time and was told it would be with me by Thursday. Later that afternoon I had an email saying it was still at customs and was due to them any day. When I called to question what was going on I was given no apology and told that he would look into it and get back to me. Lunchtime I received an email saying it was still at customs and they would let me know when they knew more. I called at the end of the day to chase as it was due the next day and was told they didn’t know any more and hadn’t I read the email. I said I had but I was expecting it the next day as I was going away and was planning on using it. Still no apology and was told that they would let me know when it arrived. Why advertise in stock when it is not and take payment for express delivery. I will be sticking to Attwoolls in future who always give great customer service. Unfortunately they don’t stock this item.

Ordered a windbreak and some camping chairs from Newquay camping and was in possession of the goods in less than 30 hours. Excellent service. The Vango Titan 2 chairs are really comfortable and the Dometic windbreak looks great but not used yet. All in all a brilliant shopping experience.

Bought a Vango awning for my camper van and arrived within 24 hours or getting it, haven't used the item yet, but the service was great and website super easy.

Bought an awning from this shop online as they had competitive prices and could offer quick delivery, sounds great right? As soon as we put the awning up it just fell apart, guy lines ripping off, pole supports breaking, safe to say I wasn’t impressed. I contacted NCaL straight away and explained the issue and that I was asking for a full refund as the product wasn’t fit for purpose. The communication I’ve had between NCaL and myself has been appalling, zero help in trying to resolve this issue, not a care that a product they’ve sold has broken. If you’re reading these reviews (there’s a lot of them) and thinking it can’t be as bad as it seems trust me IT IS. Avoid this shop at all costs.

Ordered from them online as they were the cheapest retailer for the tent carpet I wanted. Well what a terrible experience. Basically the carpet never arrived. The tracking with DPD said they had received details but the parcel had not been received. Gave it one week but still nothing so called the store. Was told that they would investigate and give me a call back by the end of the day. Nothing. So called again the following morning to be told they were waiting to hear back from DPD as the package had been sent to them and that they would call back. Again nothing so I called back to be told that DPD had the parcel and were going to send it. Then to my surprise this morning a one line email to say DPD have lost the parcel, it was the last one so they are refunding me. Terrible customer experience, stay away from using this company. Let's see how long it takes them to send my refund...

Bought a 5 pole blue diamond windbreaker in blue stripes it broke on the first use , one of the poles snapped off on the point , the clips that hold the fabric in place also were missing and the windbreak bag was broken on the bottom , my own fault for not checking in the shop However I think mine was a return that had been put back out , the guys in the shop were great but the product is crap I’m
Probably going to bin it as by the time I pay for return postage and the hassle it’s not worth it. Forty two pounds down the drain will stick to the olpro windbreaks thicker poles much better material and will Last a lot longer.
