Came from London to do stomach surgery as it had been recommended. After getting in touch with staff (who were very helpful and available nearly 24/7), I decided that this place suited me. Within 14 minutes from the airport. Helpful staff, perfect service. I would highly recommend it.

I recently travelled to Lithuania for plastic surgery following weight loss. I booked through Newmans as had heard good things about the company from other customers. I was not wrong. The communication was perfect, and care and attention from Indre, the patient coordinator was second to none. There were a few queries before I travelled relating to the accommodation that was booked for me, but these were quickly resolved. My whole experience was brilliant, thank you 😊

Had my operation on the 30th of July 2024. I was a bit nervous, but the atmosphere at the clinic was so calming.

I can’t say how impressed at the service I’ve received from the Newman Clinic. Agne, my coordinator, was in contact throughout prior to surgery and kept me updated every step of the way. More importantly, she has remained in contact after surgery which I wasn’t expecting. It makes me feel valued and shown they genuinely care about their patients.

My surgeon, Professor Mickevicius, was also fantastic. He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable which help keep my nerves under control! I was suffering from a little pain a couple of weeks post op (not due to any issues with surgery but due to a badly damaged gallbladder which the professor kindly removed!), and he very kindly called me to reassure me about what was happening and what I should do next should things not improve. I really appreciate the care received.

Finally, the nursing staff at the hospital could not be faulted. I’ve had 2 previous surgeries at private hospitals in the UK and the care received does not even compare to that in Kardiolitos Klinokos.

Overall, this has been a fantastic experience and I would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

NEWMAN Bariatric Clinic - All members very friendly , all of them very helpfull , if you have any questions , they more then happy to answer . Just had Laparascopic antireflux surgery with them . Dr Antanas Mickevicius very professional , he found my problem , explained it , and sorted ! Now after two weeks of surgery we had with Doctor consultation again , he explained all my questions and told me good advices how to live and treat myself in future. Thanks to all of you and wish you the best ! Keep doing what you doing !

The company were most helpful from my first enquiry and still ongoing, they are available by message any time. The quality of care I received was outstanding, all of the facilities in the clinic and hospital were immaculately clean. All staff, nurses and anaesthetist were so kind and very professional.
Prof. Antanas Mickevičius was a stand out character for me, he is an expert in his field with an amazing caring nature, you are in very safe hands with him and his team. I was extremely apprehensive going abroad, and was still nervous going through to surgery but the staff put me at ease and my worries drifted away. I would recommend this clinic and surgeon to anybody. I’m now just 3 days post op and feel great, now using my recovery time before my flight to explore the lovely city of Kaunas

I would like to thank all who work at Newman Clinic .I had a very positive experience as I decided to undergo gastric reduction surgery through them in Lithuania . By deciding to have gastric reduction surgery I am hoping to become a healthier and happier person again . I’m also one of those who my weight has fluctuated for the last number of years , I went to various slimming groups and tried the latest trends for weight loss . After seeing some of my family and friends transform their health and lives with gastric reduction surgery,I decided it was time for me to make this life changing decision that would help me before I started to experience health problems in the near future due to my weight. After researching on the internet i sent an enquiry to the Newman clinic , and I was delighted with the response I got from the patient co-ordinator , Paulè who answered my questions and arranged an on line consultation with the Professor Antanas Mickevicius who is a very highly respected bariatric surgeon in Lithuania, and has also worked in the United Kingdom . In the consultation I found the Professor to be very honest and non judgemental, as it can feel embarrassing to speak about your weight . The Professor explained the best option suitable for me , and explained the pre operative tests that would be carried out , and the results would be reviewed before surgery. I was advised to follow a liver reduction diet for 2 weeks before my operation, this is advised to help reduce the size of the liver , which makes the procedure safer . It was actually fine and involved very nutritious foods , which I was delighted I was not going to be on liquids for the 2 weeks before surgery. Paulè was there again to arrange all of my pre operative appointments , dates , taxi transfers , hotel accommodation and made sure I had all the support from the clinic at every step . I arrived at the airport to find a transfer to my hotel , holding up the name of the clinic on a card , this was very nice as I was travelling on my own . I stayed at the hotel , and the next morning I was picked up from the hotel and brought to the Newman clinic , where my pre operative tests were carried out professionally.My tests included blood tests,electrocardiogram, stomach endoscopy test,and a consultation with a dietician after my operation . The staff were all very nice , and spoke english . When I arrived at the hospital , it was very clean and had all the modern amenities. I had a private room with en-suite . I had consultations in my room with the staff that would be involved in my operation .The Professor discussed the procedure and had reviewed all my test results . My experience when I woke up after my operation was to find the care of the nursing staff excellent , they were in and out doing post operative tests and checking bloods . The Professor called in to discuss how the operation went , and to see how I was feeling , which I thought was very nice . He also called in the following day , to have a consultation. I spent 2 days in the hospital , and then returned to my hotel with all the supplies I needed orgainised by the Newman Clinic , including painkillers ,dressings, water and soft foods . Paulè regularly text me to see how I was and if I was ok for everything. I returned home a week after the operation, and I have to say I am feeling so thankful for the way I am recovering and feeling . I would recommend to contact the Newman clinic if you are interested in changing your life , with a very experienced and professional surgeon . You will be very well looked after , and even this morning I got a text from Paulè to see how I am recovering .

From the initial message enquiring about surgery to being discharged home Paule was by my side ensuring that everything went smoothly. I had my gastric bypass on 25th August and have already lost a stone in 2 weeks.
I was understandably a little apprehensive about going abroad for surgery however it was the best decision.
Paule was there from start to finish from my initial enquiry to the day I left hospital to answer any questions and support me.
I had number of important tests prior to my surgery (prob more thorough actually than would get at home) and Paule came along with me to each appointment. Paule also arranged all the transfers to and from clinic and airport.
The surgery went without complications, I had some gas pain to be expected the days I was in hospital but wasn’t in pain, and the nursing staff were in regularly doing checks and topping up medication. I had my own private room and en-suite. It was spotless and the nursing staff were lovely, very attentive and spoke good English.
I would highly recommend Newman to anyone.

I had a gastric bypass on July 7th 2021 and have already lost 4 stone. The care I recieved from Paula, the surgeon and all staff involved was fantastic and the language barrier was never an issue (infact, the majority spoke v v good English!).
I had extensive tests done before surgery including many blood tests, an ecg and an endoscopy (you're sedated so don't worry).
The surgeon repaired my hiatus hernia (for free) at the same time which alone has made a huge difference to my life and I woke up in no pain at all, only a slight discomfort and feeling like a heavy book was placed on my stomach. The nurses were available day and night during the stay to help with anything at all. I left hospital 2 days after surgery and didn't need any pain killers etc from then.

My coordinate has arranged my husbands and I's accommodation which was very close by and extremely reasonably priced (€160 for the week). She also arranged taxis to and from the airport, for covid tests before and after the operation and to the hospital.

I'm hoping to return to Lithuania next year for a tummy tuck/arm lift and would honestly recommend Newman Bariatric to everyone, the surgery has already made such a huge difference to my life in 2 short months.

From the moment I first contacted Newman Bariatric I received professional and prompt responses.
The coordinator Paule was always ready to answer any question and she also made all the arrangements while keeping me in the loop all the time. On arrival in Kaunas I was met and brought to the apartment after a little hiccup with the rooms I would have no other complaint (for some not having a walk in shower may be a problem).
Paule checked in with me everyday untill the day of the pre -op and surgery where she met me at the clinic.
The clinic was modern and very clean all staff were friendly professional and efficient. I have never had my bloods done so painlessly.
Pre surgery I met with the Surgeon Dr Antanas Mickevicius who explained the operation to me in layman terms and was happy to answer any and all of my questions.
Post surgery I cannot express the level of care I received from the nurses and team at the clinic It was exceptional they were patient and caring and very knowledgeable. Ay all times i felt safe and no question or request seemed silly to them. I cannot thank them enough.
Paule was always on hand to answer any queries or just to say hello how are you. For those who choose to travel alone for this surgery I can assure you that you did not fell that you were alone the staff all offer exceptional care.
This was extended by Paule on discharge from the clinic right up until I boarded the flight home. I still feel that I am able to contact her in relation to my surgery.
In summary I would say Newman made this a very easy experience for me They alleviated any fears with a practical and realistic approach. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.
They also give you a cute little bracelet!

Excellent service. Pre booking all my questions were answered promptly by one of the coordinators. After confirming surgery and paying Paule the coordinator promptly handled everything. Every detail was taken care of. Transport was waiting on arrival at kaunas Airport. The hotel apartment provided was only 5 mins from the hospital. It was excellent with modern facilities and a garden terrace. The hospital its self was brilliant, extremely clean, modern and welcoming. Everything was explained every step of the way, Paule the Coordinator was there to guide us through the pre op process. Both the consultant and anesthesiologist were friendly and explained everything brilliantly. The nursing care was superb, above and beyond, there were excellent staffing levels which allowed them to deliver a superior level of care. I would highly recommend Newman clinic to anyone considering surgery.

I am really happy my choice for this clinic, its amaizing stuff service making more easy and comfortable yout trip all the time. Its really help for people if you come from another City or Country its perfect servis from taxi, hotel if you need, escort till operation they not leave you for 1 min Viktorija or Paule will be with you all the time.
