Quality issue after 2 gentle washes; voucher offered instead of refund
I bought a Made in USA Core Crewneck (Plum Brown) from the official New Balance EU site for €165 at the end of September 2025. After two wears and two gentle 30°C washes, the fabric had visibly faded and the hem shrank enough for the sweater to ride up.
I reported this within four weeks, provided all requested photos (incl. label), and followed the formal complaints process. Customer service was polite and responsive, but the only resolution offered—repeatedly—was a €20 voucher. New Balance stated the fading/shrinkage was consistent with use and washing and not a manufacturing fault, so no repair/replacement/refund was offered. I even offered to return the sweater for inspection.
I’m not a lawyer, but as a consumer I expect a quality product at this price and a fair remedy when something goes wrong. My experience felt rigidly policy-driven, rather than focused on whether the product met reasonable expectations after normal care.
This review reflects my personal experience. I’ve liked New Balance for years, which makes this extra disappointing. I hope the company reconsiders how it handles early-life quality issues and aligns outcomes with what customers reasonably expect for premium-priced items.

Placed an order then try to returning it using my own money and paying for the return via Royal Mail and was told that I could not use Royal Mail only UPS as New Balance would not accept my return. Trying to contact customer service and was no help at all. I am wondering how New Balance UK is dealing with their customers ad they have lost one.
Very poor quality and sales service
Don't even think about buying New Balance, especially from this website. I bought a pair of Jamie Foy shoes, and after wearing them three times, all the sides showed horrible stains that are impossible to remove. I contacted the company, and they brushed me off. The quality is terrible. Avoid these people. They’re scammers.

Fast shipping and very simple return process.
This time I returned a pair of shoes and my money was back on my master card already the day after they received the package.

NEVER EVER BUY THEIR SHOES
I have been buying shoes from New balancen a lot of times at this point and have never had any real issues with the shoes. BUT!
I recently bought a pair of 550 a month ago and haven't walked more than 20-30 kilometers in the shoes. Then I startet to see that the glue startet too dethatch from the shoe and that I had gotten a crack in the leather in the front of the shoe already.
I contacted New Balance about this and they told me since the leather had been bent they wouldn't go further with the case even though your supposed to walk approximately 700 kilometers in a shoe and that is only 1 month old. The shoe hasn't been used for anything else than normal street walking in a city.
so since I got that reply i guess that New Balance expect you to buy new shoes every month and use extremely low quality materials since it breaks around that time. Notice. its only one of my shoes this has happened too which makes me wonder if it was just weak piece of leather that was put onto that shoe when it was made.
My conclusion to all this: DONT BUY THEIR SHOES ITS LOW QUALITY AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY SINCE IT STARTS CRACKING AND DETATCHING AFTER ONLY ONE MONTH!

Very poor quality sneakers. The sneaker tore within the first weeks of wearing it. Customer service was not helpful in any way. They decided that they could just offer me a 15% discount on the next purchase of their poor quality shoes.

The glue of the outer sole let go and the shoes left a red itchy spot on my heels after wearing them for a week.

After addressing the complaint at new balance thru the phone they told me to call the store where i bought the shoes because they only accept cases for shoes that were bought on the website. I called the store and they said to call New Balance Netherlands. I called them and they told me to send a email with an explenation and photo’s, so i did. Now 2 months have gone by and i still haven’t heard from them.

When the shoes don’t fall apart and irritate my heel they are very comfortable

Bestilte en pakke 9 dage siden. De siger 3-4 dages levering. Jeg har ikke modtaget en email fra dem. Når jeg prøver at tracke min pakke siger den ''delivered''. Jeg har været hjemme hele tiden, og der har ikke været nogen og ringe på med en pakke...

Really a bad experience
Really a bad experience. Ordered a shirt 1st of May. Money has been paid and charged from my account the 5th of May. Now this is the 11th of May – I haven’t heard anything at all from NewBalance. What a bad experience from a big brand. So disappointing. One thing is the delay. Another thing is the absolutely zero communication. Poor support and service.
