Invest on Your Own Risk
I purchased National bonds a long time ago for a substantial sum, but initially, it did not prove to be a wise investment in terms of returns. At first, I experienced some minor gains, but subsequently, there were none. It appears that they have varying criteria and treat your bonds as if you are continuously investing. After many years, I withdrew a significant portion of my investment, as it was a locked investment, and the process was quite challenging to get it back.
Currently, again i am facing difficulties in retrieving the remaining negligible amount. I have sent an email and made seven phone calls, and each time the helpdesk has assured me that my beneficiary will be added and that they are counting the days for each procedure. The helpdesk seems to operate like a bot, placing all responsibility on the operations team. I opened my case on June 7th, and now it has been over seven working days. After extensive discussions, they informed me that the amount would be transferred on June 29th, after 15 working days, due to some public holidays. There seems to be a significant disconnect, and I would not recommend investing in National bonds.
