I'm Fiona, nail technician/owner of Nails by Fi. I studied an HND in Beauty Therapy over 20 years ago but have chosen to finally specialise in nails. I offer a premium service and work from home in Newtongrange, Midlothian. I always have EVERY CND Shellac and Vinylux colour in stock, lots of Gel Bottle, Peacci and Ink London colours, dozens of glitters, foils, stamps and goodies, a salon full of samples, and I can also make custom colours, sparkles and designs. Acrylic, hard gel, builder gel, fibreglass, silk extensions and overlays, sculpted extensions and natural nail services. Everything you could ever want! Why not pay me a visit?

Fantastic service. Fi is such a great nail technician who’s work is extremely professional and beautiful. I am, if I’m honest, am not the most gentle with my nails, I always seem to have an adventure on the go. However, not once has Fi’s work chipped or pealed. I would not hesitate to recommend.
I’ve been a client of Fi’s for several years now and would not go anywhere else. Fi is just the best nail technician in my opinion. She is friendly, professional and meticulous at all times.
Fi stocks all of the CND Shellac colours as well as a superb range of The Gel Bottle and Ink London.
Under the current Covid 19 restrictions, Fi has put added health and safety measures in place so I feel very reassured during my visits.
I've been going to Fi to get my nails done for years now, wouldn't trust anyone else... she is meticulous with hygiene and has every colour of shellac and has a range of The Gel Bottle and Ink London, I don't think I've had the same design twice! Can't recommend her highly enough.
I have used Nails by Fi for over a year now and would not go anywhere else. Fi works tirelessly at ensuring all her products are applied using the appropriate UV lights for it specifically. Consistent and extensive range of colours, beautifully presented and displayed. We are lucky to have this luxury on our doorsteps. Not a scabby old bottle in sight- unlike some salons.

Nails by Fi is by far the best nail technician I have ever visited. I am incredibly hard on my nails and I am overjoyed to say I can now get 4 weeks out of my gel polish without any chips. Fi has 100's of colours to choose from and different brands. Combine that with all the foils and glitters you may be a wee while choosing the perfect combination. Fi is unrivaled in her field when it comes to hygiene having invested heavily in ensuring she always works in the safest environment.
Fi has been doing my nails for years! I love her, not only does she have amazing technical skills but she is very knowledgeable about the products she uses. I would highly recommend her - I’d even go as far as saying she is the best in Midlothian.
Fi has worked her magic on my nails on two occasions now, and I’m amazed by her expertise, technical skill, creativity and professionalism. Her setup at her home is immaculate, welcoming and relaxed, and she has an awesome way of turning my zany ideas and questions into a design I love. It’s also great to work with someone as keen as me to show guys are allowed to give their nails some personality, and they’re always a very positive talking point in my job as a retail manager. Looking forward to my Halloween nails soon!
Fantastic nail technician Fi has every colour available My nails were in a terrible state when I first started going to her but she persevered and my nails are in great condition now Safe and clean environment. Would definitely recommend. Fi is so welcoming and friendly .
Definitely the best nail technician around, she did mine and my sisters nails for her wedding day and they were beautiful and really lasted. Would highly recommend!
Fi has taken every precautionary measure possible to have a clean and safe environment to have your nails done, not only this she is very friendly and provides a great service. Wouldn’t go anywhere else to get my nails done now.
Been going to Fi for a few years now and wouldn’t go anywhere else to have nails done. Fi is extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also provides that personal touch which is so important. Since Fi reopened after lockdown, I’ve returned to my 3weekly appointments and am so pleased. As a nurse, I think long & hard about attending appointments as I cannot and will not do anything that may affect my health or safety, but more importantly the health and safety of my patients and their families. Having been to Fi’s, I have every confidence in attending and the health and safety measures she has in place. Please support local businesses at this time.

Fi is an excellent nail technician, very friendly yet extremely professional. I have been going to Fi for years and would never think of getting my nails done anywhere else. Her response to the current situation has been nothing but productive in getting her salon ready for her customers to come back and feel as safe as possible. As soon as we get the go ahead my next appointment will be booked. Well done Fi and hang in there! X
