thoroughly disappointed.

i’m only giving it a two cause the hand fan was what i expected but the hoodie was meant to be a 4XL and is more like a 1XL and the colour are completely different there light pastel pink tones on the photo and it’s come and it’s almost neon with green which is depicted in the photos , feels cheap too

Not worth it

I ordered some clothes, as gifts for my friends. They all arrived a size bigger. When I got in touch with their customer service department they wrote "We usually send one size larger because, being Asian sizes, they tend to run smaller than usual." That information wasn't on their website when I purchased the items or as I write this review. I actually took the time to look at the measurements of the clothes and I ordered the correct sizes, so they caused more harm than good.
They offered to exchange the items of course, but I had to wait double the time to get what I ordered.
Also two of the parcels that they sent were delivered at the wrong address. I understand that this is the shipping company's responsibility, but the labels on the parcels were barely visible, as if they had been printed on a printer running low on ink.
The clothes were alright, but nothing special, I was able to find similar designs at other webpages, much cheaper. Like others have said, they were all shipped from China.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend them.

Great product but it did take a while…

Great product but it did take a while to arrive. I hadn’t checked delivery times properly so it was a surprise to me but it was on me because the information was there, I just hadn’t read it. Super cute chopsticks were just a bit of a late present!

Not from Japan

Items here are marketed as from Japan with good quality - package came from China and items can be found on Taobao at 1/15 the price. Please stay clear.

Edit since business claims they do not know me:

I bought a set of sake cups from here for christmas gift. I paid close to $60 for it. The christmas gift exchange budget was $50.

My recipient received a parcel from China (not Japan) and decided to check taobao for its value, found its sold there for $5. Very embarassing.

I did file a complain and get a refund by destroying the item. However, the fact stands that the items are not ‘quality from Japan’ as the website brands it to be… and I feel prospective customers should know. I wish I knew when I was about to purchase my gift from here - I checked Trustpilot before my purchase and found only good reviews about this website and hence proceeded with my purchase. Turns out bad reviews are flagged as defamatory by the business.

Thank you for clarifying your review and sharing your purchase experience. We denounce reviews where people only seek to discredit our company without mentioning their own purchase experience, as we have received reviews that were intentional and false with the sole purpose of damaging MJH's reputation.

Normally, in reviews, people indicate what they purchased and their buying experience.

We regret that the product quality was not to your liking. We have sold hundreds of these sake sets, and customers have been satisfied.

To clarify this review and help future customers, the set you purchased costs 60 Singapore dollars, which is equivalent to 45 US dollars and 34 British pounds.

We have products from many different suppliers in Asia because we offer 2,600 different products.

This set isn't made in Japan, but it certainly doesn't cost $5 on Taobao, and if it does, shipping costs will be high, assuming you even receive the order and don't lose your money.

In short, you purchased a product you didn't want, and you received a full refund without any problems.

We are an honest company and always resolve any customer dissatisfaction.

We are unaware of the products sold by other online stores of dubious reputation, and we wish you luck with your future purchases.

Thank you for clarifying your review, but we would appreciate it if you only mentioned your complaint regarding the sake set you purchased and not generalized about all the products in our store.

Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect! The communication was flawless, delivery as expected and even arrived earlier than expected, the product was beautiful and in perfect condition, and precisely as advertised on the website. Even follow up communication after receiving the gift was flawless! Thank you!
