We had a wonderful break on the Colleen Bawn. There were three of us, for three nights, which was perfect for beginners! Jason was very helpful with showing us the ropes before we headed off, with plenty of handy hints including pubs to visit along the way. We all felt confident skippering the boat and working the locks, and Jason was available if we had any questions.
Colleen Bawn is a cosy canal boat, as expected, but has all the mod cons you could want, and we were very comfortable.
We would recommend My Floating Holiday to anybody thinking about a canal boat holiday.

We have just come back from an amazing week spent aboard the beautiful narrowboat "Colleen Bawn". It's a really well equipped and comfortable boat. The canal was a great mix of rural and urban landscapes and we had some lovely mooring spots. The bow thruster is a real bonus! Jason is really helpful and kind and made sure we were ok before setting off and whilst aboard. We managed to do about 23 miles in total. Lots of pubs on the way as well as places to top up groceries. Our dog Ben loved sitting and watching the towpath and saying hello to everybody. The locks were manageable with the 2 of us and not difficult for newbie boaters. Would highly recommend.

A lovely break aboard a BEAUTIFUL barge. A truly beautiful experience and Jason the host made us feel so at home. A PERFECT relaxing holiday.

We decided to do Xmas different this year so opted for a boat. All worked out very well. Jason made sure that everything was perfect and in order and we had the most wonderful Xmas in his lovely boat. Would highly recommend.

Wow! The Colleen Bawn is a special canal boat, beautifully decked out and with all the best design features, like circular cruise seating to lean against at the stern, a great Morso log burner, versatile table options … comfortable beds, great shower and wc and great Wi-Fi/Netflix/Disney etc 😊
Jason is a brilliant host, providing lovely welcome gifts, fresh flowers and even mini-pumpkins fitting the time of year. Jason was readily available to answer any queries and was kind and thoughtful in wanting us to have the best time.
We went to London, which was an amazing experience by canal, though we understand travelling north is a beautiful route too.
We would not hesitate in recommending a holiday on the Colleen Bawn! Thank you Jason for a great boating trip 😊

We hired Jason's narrowboat (The Colleen Bawn) over the October half term and were very impressed with the well-equipped and comfortable boat itself and Jason's friendly and helpful attitude. He went over and above to help us get the best out of the experience. We've hired narrowboats a few times before and found this one is a definite cut above the norm. Lots of personal touches and features really made it pleasant. We'd hire this one again and would recommend.

I booked this holiday for a group of 5 of us, you do need to be prepared to sleep close to each other however if your fine with that it is a lovely holiday. We had it for a long weekend and had a blast going up and down the canal stopping off at many a pub on the way. Jason helpfully supplied a list of pubs that we would be passing on our trip which made finding them a breeze. He also joined us for the first couple locks to make sure we all knew what to do and how to drive the boat.

As I say, it was a great holiday and Jason was very easy to work with to get us going, would highly recommend!

We had two nights onboard the Colleen Bawn, 2 adults and 3 young children, and what a completely unique place to stay for a London city break! The accommodation had all the comforts you could ask for, quality furnishings and lovely decorative features. We marvelled at the ingenious space saving features and relished learning about boat life and rules of the waterways. Jason the host is a legend, so helpful and friendly. Don’t hesitate to book this!

We hired the boat for 4 days in August and had an amazing time despite never boating before. The small details from Jason really make this experience special - excellent bed linen, towels, honesty wine rack, welcome pack! I would recommend this to anyone, no matter your experience levels - Jason gave us all the training we needed to explore the grand union canal. Fun for all the family!

As a surprise for my 60th birthday, our children kindly booked us 2 nights on the "Colleen Bawn". From the moment we met Jason at "My Floating Holiday", we knew our daughter had chosen well.
He spent plenty of time with us, explaining everything. He genuinely wanted to make our break an enjoyable one. We had his mobile number to call at any time, if needed. The Narrow boat has everything you could wish for.
