The wig did not fit and wrong charges attached to my order

The wig did not fit. The most painful part of this is that I still received a letter from fedex to pay charges of £89 for my shipping . This is terrible and I want myfirstwig to do something about this. I cannot pay £89 for a shipping cost that was never agreed on during the purchase. The purchase was in May and how am I still getting a letter in July to pay up custom fees. Isn’t that meant to be the sellers responsibility. How will you declare my item and yet still expect me to make payment. Please look into this .

They need to add Medium for a cap size option

It took almost a month to arrive. I ordered two units. One for myself, and the other for my daughter. They should have an option for Medium size because small/ large is not a good option! I got a 2 in 1 Wet and Wavy unit and I'm not happy at all! The unit keeps sliding back... it sheds way too much. It is also too puffy, and full! I wanted to give this company a try but I doubt I will be making any more purchases in the future. 130% density, small cap size.

At first, the ads made the platform seem like a great opportunity, so I signed up. However, once I started using it, everything felt off. The platform was too confusing to use, and their support team was always vague. CryptoPromo’s fake promotions, shared by influencers, ultimately tricked me, and I ended up losing all my money.

Poor product!

Product not as seen on screen, what arrived was a badly cut wig that needed a lot of time and work to get any semblance of a style, and when speaking to customer service to complain they said I would need to pay to return it. I am uk based and that would be an extra cost. I have brought a few wigs from the UK, and when they have arrived, it is instantly wearable with no effort required, however “my first wig” shows false advertising! I have now requested for them to delete my account and remove my data from their servers, as I will never shop with them again as the products are really really bad, and not wearable, however they are refusing to delete my account. Why do they want to keep my account open when I have told them I will not be shopping with them again. They are also refusing my complaint to be escalated to a manager, and I am going round in circles trying to get them to delete my data! Appalling products and appalling customer service! If you have money to waste then shop with this company.

Unfortunately

Unfortunately, my experience with this product was very disappointing. The quality did not meet expectations, and it did not perform as advertised. I encountered multiple issues with trying yo style the I gave up and place the it back in the bag. The product ultimately did not meet my needs. Based on this experience, I will not be purchasing again.

Still waiting for my refund

I ordered a wig from the USA site. Totally dissatisfied with the quality of the hair when it arrived. Made several attempts to return but customer service kept trying their best to get me to keep it. After a few back and forth, they eventually agreed to accept the return. Well over six weeks now and I’m still waiting to receive my refund. Although I sent off a few emails, i am still waiting for the refund at the time of writing this review,
Unfortunately due to the experience I have had, I could not with all good conscience recommend this company to anyone.

The last time she gets HAD

I’ve used this company for more than 10 years and currently, they are not who they used to be. The lace on the wigs are cheap! I’m never buying from this company again! My heart is actually broken. I ordered a wig a few weeks ago and received my package today and I was sent just a random wig along with my order. I was told by customer service that the wig I CHOSE was replaced with a wig “they chose.” What the actual hell is going on around here. When did it become the company’s opinion over the customers choice? I was given the option to exchange it but with something I didn’t want or I had to pay more. Shedding!!!

Give it a couple of months and you’ll start malting like a dog too! When this first arrived it looked lovely 2 months later and the shedding and hair breakage on my unit is so so bad that I’m actually embarrassed! It’s all over my clothes and home, even with little manipulation. Now mostly combing it when I’m outside to reduce the amount of hair left on my carpets! Only bought this as had bought another wig from Myfirstwig last year, they sent me something that looked nothing like the pics but insisted it was the same unit (I’d ordered a layered unit, they’d sent me a blunt bob cut!). They offered me a £40 discount on my next item as I’d have to pay the return postage fees yet when I went to purchase this one, because there was already a “discount” on this (which it looks like they always have some kind of promotion on) they wouldn’t honour the discount. I stupidly decided to give them another chance as they agreed to reimburse me for the import tax. Never again!!!

I recently ordered a unit from My First…Awful lace and shedding…

I recently ordered a unit from My First Wig for the first time. I’ve used many lace wig suppliers.

One annoying thing is there was nothing on or in the package with their brand name on it. In fact I mistakenly contacted another supplier to complain.

Since I’ve used the other company a lot my first impression was it was not the same quality as before and 1) didn’t really look like the photo 2) the hair shed more than I’m accustomed to 3) the 4c edges were nice but there was a bit of a balding area in the top front because of the edges and 4) it was the worst lace I’ve seen in a while. ! It was stiff and far too light.

I won’t order from them again. I’ll stick with RPG or Lab Hairs.

1ère commande : lace non pluckée alors que j'avais payé pour ça, une densité proche de 200% alors que j'avais demandé une 130% et tulle couleur saumon 🤦🏾‍♀️.. qui fait ça?!
2ème commande : belle texture mais la forme de la tulle au niveau des oreilles est droite donc perruque trop petite à ce niveau là et impossible à coller/ajuster.
Bonnet trop petit alors que j'avais pris les mensurations et choisit en conséquence.
Bien évidemment, dans ma bonne volonté j'ai essayé de les réparer/modifier pour ne pas perdre mes achats donc maintenant elles ne sont pas "renvoyables".
Je peux vous garantir que je commanderai plus chez vous et ne recommanderai pas le site.

Ma facture est la 502293309. Si vous le souhaitez je peux également vous envoyer le screen de ma facture payé qui précise mon identité complète. Dans la positive, merci de me donner l'adresse à laquelle je dois les envoyer.

J'ai oublié de préciser que la couleur de la lace n'était pas la bonne. J'ai reçu une perruque noire au lieu d'une ombre brown.

This is a 100% scam company. I ordered an item on April 6th. They immediately processed my payment.

However, 10 days then passed without even receiving an email order confirmation!!

Once I searched my inbox and did not see ANY emails related to my order, I reached out on April 16th. A day later, I received this response from their customer service team - "I’ve checked your order details, and it appears that the product is currently **out of stock**."

This company has such a poor infrastructure that 11 whole days passed and until I reached out, no one thought to reach out to the customer about an "alleged" out of stock item. They tried to offer a "similar item" but had no details on when I should expect to receive it.

Heads up - They like to send random "out of office for the weekend" messages as a way to avoid responding to emails.

Update - On April 29th, I finally received an item from this company. I would return it, but I don't trust I would receive a penny of my money.

AVOID at all costs. Listen to the 1 star ratings and buy elsewhere!

*Update # 2 - I just read their reply to my experience and review. It’s pitiful, just like I would expect. Stay FAR away from this dishonest and dysfunctional brand. Save your money and go elsewhere. Avoid the headache!

Photoshoot Ready!

I recieved my unit in a timely manner. I was very pleased with the look and feel of the hair as I only order Yaki hair. I had a photoshoot with an IG/BH makeup artist. Very little customization done. The hair curled beautifully. I am very pleased with my purchase will order again. Quality is top notch!

Shipping Delay, But Solid Product & Support

I ordered from MyFirstWig on February 14th and received my package on March 20th—so just over a month from purchase to delivery. The delay was mainly due to the third-party partner (IMG) used to ship the package before it was handed off to USPS. This leg of the shipping process caused some uncertainty, and after doing some digging, I found others on Reddit who had similar issues with this shipping method.

That said, I want to give a major shoutout to Bella, who was incredibly helpful and made what could’ve been a stressful experience much smoother. She kept me updated and was very responsive and kind throughout. Also, a big thank you to Penny and the team behind the scenes who assisted with contacting the shippers and working to have the package expedited.

They also offered a $15 refund for the inconvenience, which was processed as promised—a gesture I truly appreciated.

As for the wig itself, the quality is great—soft, well-constructed, and looks great. However, although it’s marketed as beginner-friendly, I do think it benefits from a little extra customization. I’d recommend adding the deep knot bleaching and pre-plucking services if you want something truly ready to wear without needing extra tweaks.

Honestly, I went into this purchase a bit nervous after reading some of the negative reviews about delays and used products, but my experience turned out to be a good one. I’m even already browsing the site to plan my next splurge.
