My Danish Roots Anmeldelser

Niels was always very professional in all aspects of the work done on my research. This was especially evident in the handling of sensitive material and information.
I was very happy with the amount of time taken to respond to my research questions. I consider this quality of promptness was outstanding, considering his organisation would be helping others at the same time.
The thoroughness and accuracy shown has helped to add "flesh to the bones" of my 150 year family mystery. While I taught myself to "read" some Danish records I would NEVER have been able to decipher the other more challenging records such as the Musters Rolls (Military Levy rolls).
I really felt that feedback from My Danish Roots was tailored to my situation. All records copied were at a very high resolution and were labelled so that, if I could not read the gothic Danish text in the records myself, the labels directed me to where I needed to look.
This is the second time I have used the service, initially I did not have any useful information, but, after several years of my own efforts I was able to return with much more accurate details and Niels was able to follow up on my original search.
For me, this has been a very worthwhile association with an organisation to initially start my Danish research with and, a perfect place to round off the research and to know I hadn't forgotten anything. Definitely value for money and my ancestor thought he could hide, but not from Niels!

Niels was extremely professional and courteous. The search wasn't as successful I thought it could be, since the records he found were lacking enough information to proceed to findings of the previous generation. He was quick enough in his responses and gave me valuable information nonetheless, as well as an extended family tree -- all of it was attained in only 1.5 hrs of research.

Niels was also honest when he got stuck and refunded me for the unused time. I would recommend My Danish Roots to anyone interested in getting information on their Danish ancestors.

Response time is always immediate! What a wonderful experience working with them. I cannot thank them enough for the information and their generosity as I have no income and they still respond with information I requested. Top notch!!!@

Niels responded to my translation request very quickly and professionally. I have been puzzling over a birth entry for some time, and he sorted this out very efficiently and professionally. I would definitely recommend!

Christian was amazing to work with. Over the course of several month, he has collected the entire existing record, including images of the records, for my family's Danish heritage back to the late 1700's. The translations and details are excellent and will allow our known family history to be written. I am forever grateful for the exceptional work.

Thank you so very much for finding this information for me. I really do appreciate it!

I wanted to know about my father's mother, who died when he was about eight; no one had any other information except for her name on his baptismal certificate. Niels found several entries in census reports, and found her death certificate. A woman who was lost has been found, and I am grateful. I highly recommend this service, which was courteous and prompt. Thank you, Niels.

The information that Niels was able to discover about my Danish family with fairly little information was remarkable. Aside from discovering more about my ancestry, I also asked if he could find contact details for my half-uncles who we had lost contact with 30 years ago. I had been searching for them online for 10 years with no luck. Niels was able to give me enough information about them that led to finding them on social media and being able to reconnect with them which was truly special.

Niels is avery professional and has great communication. I highly recommend engaging his services to anyone who wants to know more about their Danish roots.

I put in a late query and had an answer early the next morning. The reply included things I didn't know about my mother. Well done! I am impressed!

The information that we received from My Danish Roots identified Ida's biological grandmother conclusively. After DNA analysis we knew Ida was linked in some way to her grandmother's family, and mistakenly thought it may have been through one branch of that family, but it turned out to be a different one. We are very pleased with the research undertaken on Ida's behalf.

Niels was able to trace back five generation with detailed backup information. Really outstanding work. The results were described clearly in multiple formats.
Niels was very responsive and easy to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with My Danish Roots again,
Erling

It has been a wonderful journey to trace and peel back the Danish generations with Niels who added colour to the black-and-white dates to provide insights into lives through the context of the times - where they lived, occupations, Confirmation details, obligations, and the like, fascinating! Thank you so much!

They did an amazing Job, Thank you!
Bianca

I have now had two projects completed by the team at My Danish Roots and on both occasions, they have provided me with amazing results as well as top notch communication.

When researching your family, do NOT hesitate to contact the team at My Danish Roots. I know I won't hesitate to connect them for my next project.

I have found the research provided to the very informative and helpful. I have used this service on the years and highly recommend them

For a second time, we have used the services of Niels at My Danish Roots. The first time two years ago, with very little information to work with, his impeccable research found the Danish genealogical roots of our family, much to our elation. The second and recent request made to Niels was to find any living distant relatives in Denmark, which was a more formidable task. But we had confidence that, if anyone could do it, Niels would be that person. And he came through! His research was very thorough and he did not let himself get deterred by possible dead-ends. He certainly exceeded our expectations. For anyone wishing to find out their Danish ancestry, I recommend without hesitation Niels at My Danish Roots.

Niels did a quick and most exceptional research into our Danish roots! Now helping us dig further into our roots and has recommended other resources outside of DK.

I received very exiting and thorough information about my roots - going all the way to Greenland.
I received a lot of material - birth and Church records and a detailed family tree.
The service was fast and the personel very friendly and professional.
I can strongly recommend mydanishroots.dk

I wanted to create a birthday present for a daughter in law whose great-grandfather came from Denmark. Here in the USA he used the name I had heard. I found the website My Danish Roots. I had an obituary from an old newspaper that showed that man's birthday and the age when leaving Denmark to come to the USA. My inquiry to MDR was responded to by Niels Chr. Møller Jensen. His message to me had a spirit of trustworthiness and happy helpfulness. I gave him the name, birthday and age at emigrating. He responded that he had found no one by that name, but there was a name with one letter missing and a birthdate that was close to the ones I had sent. I told NMJ that it might be him, based on info I had about the family. I was tempted to accept it. But NMJ asked for more info. I found the names of brothers and sisters on the obituary and sent those to NMJ. NMJ found these in the records! He offered again to get me more info for the very reasonable fee. I purchased the service and on the next day I had several pages of information on the family. My daughter in law will get a great surprise birthday present. The service by NMJ of My Danish Roots was first class. I shall recommend My Danish Roots to anyone who is interested in Danish family history.

I have used other genealogical research companies before but none were as professional as My Danish Roots. I was impressed with how quickly My Danish Roots were able to complete my research. They gave me updates all along the way and were very thorough. More than that, they were conscientious of cost and never pressured me. I highly recommend their services for all your Danish genealogy research needs.
