Nathan took the time to check Tyre Ratings to make sure that we were buying tyres suited to my vehicle.

Also he was able to book us in and do a service at the same time, service and new tyres in 2 hours whilst we shopped.

Text message received to let us know that the car was ready.

My rego roadworthy inspection was conducted in a smooth and efficient manner.

Nathan was a very courteous & helpful thru all stages from dropping off the car to aligning & balancing my tyres

I now take all the cars in our family to My Car as their communication in price and detail in repairs is outstanding.
They are consistently on time and very price competitive for our tyres, even matching on line tyre prices.

My car was damaged by the mechanics at Salamander Bay while on holiday. All contact apart from the original from the mechanic was made by me for the first 30 hours.

Despite promises on the day of the damage by customer service (when I called them), nobody did anything to fix my car or help arrange a rental. I had to resort to sitting in the mechanic's office to get somebody to talk to me after trying customer care both on the phone (pressed 1 after waiting and they never called me back) and in the online chat (waited 15 mins to be told immediately that they can only sell me tyres).

The customer care person I spoke to on the phone in the mechanic's office (after hours by this stage) offered to call me back in the morning. When I asked why I couldn't pick up a car rental that evening when all airport rental car companies were still open, she said I was being unreasonable. I pointed out that I was only talking to her after more than 24 hours because I was doing all of the legwork. I also explained again that I was on holidays with my family of 4 with no car. She replied, 'MyCar will cover all of your transport costs until a hire car is arranged tomorrow.' When I suggested that I would go to the airport this evening and pick up a rental car because they were still open, she then said I was putting words into her mouth and that they would only cover Uber costs this evening. According to the mechanic, this was the head of the customer care team that he had contacted on her mobile phone.

This all happened over 2 weeks ago. I am currently driving a hire car paid for by MyCar ( but not the excess reduction. I've been told I'll be reimbursed, but I'm currently over $600 out of pocket for that cost) but I still don't know where my car is. The last time I saw it was a week ago, still sitting outside the Salamander Bay workshop with a taped rear windscreen, as we left for home. I haven't heard anything since 5 days ago when the appointed smash repairer near home called me and said, 'Apparently you have a car coming to us?' They knew nothing else and that was the day that Innovation (the company that solves these problems for MyCar) said it would arrive via a car transporter.

To top it off, the mechanic from MyCar insisted I pay the balance for the work they did when they damaged my car, $650, which I paid in good faith before all of this happened.

Accidents happen, but customer service like this is inexcusable. If you listen to the audio while waiting on the phone for customer service, MyCar claims over and over that they put people first.

Add to this that I was also offered a larger car to get all of our holiday gear home from Eurocar in Parramatta (2.5 hours each way from our holiday location. This is despite the fact that the car we had to return was from Newcastle Airport (which they organised!) Later, when they rang me back, they said the pickup location was Fremantle (WA). This was Innovation, but they are acting on behalf of MyCar, so I don't see the difference at this point.

I just want my car back, in the same condition it was when MyCar damaged it, and to also get updates without having to make all the phone calls.

Is that too much to ask of a company that operates in all states and territories of Australia?

I'm sure most, if not all of the phonecalls were recorded. Please listen back and make changes.

Extremely friendly staff, had a slight issue with the wheel alignment and they were more than happy to help fix the problem.

They squeezed me in to do a quick rego check on my trailer so i could get my boat around legally !!
