The chime never works. I have to keep reinstalling it. Once the free subscription expires it is nothing but problems

So what they're saying to me is my wife is controlling the app is making voices over the app, doing all these things when she's sitting right next to me. I have video proof I have evidence. I have everything. If you're looking for a home security system, do not get my Arlo, please give me an email. And I'll send you over video after video after video, and they're saying my wife is doing this and my wife's sitting right next to me. The whole time we weren't even in state. We were actually sleeping when this happened. They're pointing the finger at my wife. They won't take blame for it. They won't do anything. My email address is twist. BE TIS I'll send you over all the proof you want. Stay away from this security company, they suck a**, and I got a lot more to say than that

You suck pointing a finger at somebody when they're sitting right next to me, saying that she's doing all this, and she's making those voices. She's saying my name over a phone. When she's sitting right there with me, watching my phone. When her phone's basically in airplane mode and off, it's pretty funny

NEVER BUY THESE CAMERAS ...I have spent thousands of dollars and Im down to 3 cameras out of 15. Pro 4 ..what a joke ...Pro at not linking up...THEY SUCK!!! THEY DONT FIX THE PROBLEM...

Assistance incompétente. Chatbot inutilisable; répète inlassablement la même chose. Pour un même cas, multiples ouvertures de dossier et aucun dossier qui avance. Pas de retour. Pas de réponse. A fuir

Seit der Änderung der Programmierung der Arlo Kameras vor ein paar Monaten ist die Anwendung chaotisch und katastrophal. Ich habe noch nie eine dümmere oder kompliziertere oder unübersichtlichere Anwendung gesehen. Rien ne vas plus!

Ich bin seit Jahren Kunde und habe sehr viele Kameras. Ich bin allgemein sehr zufrieden. Natürlich gibt es bei der App mal der eine oder andere Bug und die Programmierung hat noch Luft nach oben. ;-) Die Kameras aber sind echt super!

Warum 5 Sterne? Nicht alleine wegen den Kameras, sondern speziell auch wegen dem einem Arlo Supporter, der wirklich einzigartigen Einsatz zeigt; PATRYK!

Ich hatte schon in 2 Supportfällen mit ihm zu tun. Er ist ein überdurchschnittlicher Supporter, der sich mit 100% Einsatz um die Fälle kümmert. Er ist freundlich, kompetent, hört einem zu, ist empathisch und gibt immer vollen Einsatz.

Liebe Arlo: Versucht Patryk bitte zu klonen! :-) Und schaut, dass er weiterhin bei Ihnen arbeitet. Er ist echt ein Gewinn für die Firma!

I am discussed in this product. You can't even have a chance to set it up. Paying a premium price for Arlo CCTV cameras only to be blocked by aggressive sales pitches for Arlo Secure subscription plans and partner advertisements during setup is incredibly frustrating. You buy hardware for security, not to be treated like a sales lead.I am frustrated. Arlo heavily pushes its paid cloud ecosystem during the initial app configuration.It comes with other companies' advertisements all the time. It is shameful that you pay so much money and they force to sign up with so many other companies advertising through the set-up process. I will never buy this product again. You can't even have a chance to set it up. You should be ashamed, trying to force the buyers to sign up and buy other products. You should be more interested in giving freedom to the customers until they set up the cameras. Stay away from this brand.

Camera kwaliteit en batterijduur prima, koppeling met HUB waardeloos, er wordt aangegeven dat je via de app alle opnames kunt terugzien, nou dat is dus niet mogelijk.
klantenservice is waardeloos, geen reacties op emails, telefoonnummer is in het buitenland, zetten je eerst gewoon 20 minuten in de wacht en dan wordt de verbinding verbroken, kortom, als ik de erviews eerder had gelezen had ik nooit een Arlo gekocht, zit nu met prul van €300.- in mijn maag waar je ook niet meer vanaf komt.

I bought a arlo security system, it came with a free subscription. The cameras work excellent the app is iffy but works, until you don't pay them anymore. My cameras are nothing but show now. They record but don't bother with the base station it says there's videos but good luck on watching them. Arlo is a huge joke unless you pay. So unless you have the money you're buying security themed paper weights. Don't waste your money

Arlo app is just rubbish! Feed do not work any more, can’t see what has happened and can not delete old files. App deleted and reinstalled, iPhone restarted, nothing happens. Not possible to get support.

My experience with Arlo has been extremely disappointing. During the free trial, the camera provided real-time person alerts and worked as expected, which convinced me to purchase the paid subscription for person detection. However, once I subscribed, the person alerts stopped working altogether. Motion detection became so unreliable that the camera sometimes couldn’t even detect me while I was holding it in my hand.

I purchased the subscription specifically for the person detection feature, but it did not perform as advertised in my experience. I spent a great deal of time trying to troubleshoot the issue, but nothing resolved it.

What made the experience even worse was the cancellation process. When I attempted to cancel my subscription, I was repeatedly told there were “technical difficulties,” and I continued being charged for months. It took nearly a year before I was finally able to cancel.

Based on my experience, I feel misled into purchasing a subscription that did not deliver the functionality I was shown during the free trial. I cannot recommend Arlo due to the unreliable performance and frustrating subscription and cancellation experience.

Ive experienced this from June 4, 2025 until today June 25, 2026 almost 1 year I have been scammed by these scammers

Initially purchased an Arlo Essential AVD1001 which worked very well for the couple of years that I had it. Then it stopped recording for no reason and I was unable to get it working again. So I thought I was upgrading when I bought their video doorbell camera 2nd generation. The first few days it seemed to work well enough and then it started to only record motion that was within 5 or 6 feet away from the camera. I needed to be able to see people walking in the street in front of my house, approximately 30 feet away. The old one was able to record people walking ACROSS the street until it just quit recording. Not happy with the product and having to go through these chat sessions was like pulling teeth. Every time one of them would ask if it was OK to look at the file and that it would only take a few minutes meant that it would take at least 10 minutes before they would get back to me. I spent over 2 hours with this nonsense last Friday.

A never ending series of problems. Hopeless support.

I had a Arlo doobell and the Chime, within a month Doorbell went bad, I called and they sent a new one...no big deal.
I had taken a subscription as well. The app kept dropping the activity feed history and every time. Customer service's response was to delete the device and add it again to the app, I had to do it enough times in 4 months that I got fed up and switched to a different product and cancelled my subscription.
Then I noticed I was still charged for the subscription, upon calling the customer support they said they couldn't find the transaction. Then I noticed that they have been charging me for 2 subscriptions - the doorbell that was returned and the one they replaced....now I can't find a number to call or catch hold of anyone.
This company is not a security company, its a scam hiding as a security company. Save your money and find other ways to protect yourselves.

Cameras kept disconnecting and took months to fix, for it to keep happening. The payment software after an upgrade wouldn’t remove an old card, couldn’t pay, lost subscription and couldn’t contact anyone as I hadn’t paid. Although their actual customer support was very nice, Arlo systems and software is awful. Not to mention the amount of lawsuits they’ve had against them. These cameras are going straight in the bin.

I wish I had came here before purchasing Arlo cameras, I agree with alot of what I'm reading here about their customer service or LACK of customer service.anyone who's first cam purchase is Arlo is probably content... anyone who's ever had Ring or Google Nest cams first realizes moving to Arlo is going backwards, there cameras are not near as good as Nest or Ring ..The Arlo app is the worst ever and not user friendly at all , I have reached out to customer service 5 times since buying Arlo cams 5 customer service requests and 0 customer service replies, However that all changed last night when I received 5 emails from Arlo the first and only communication from them at all and hilariously all 5 were them asking me to tell people how my customer service experience went .... LMAO you have to provide customer service to get rated on customer service......

HORRIBLE customer support! You have to deal with clowns in India. They speak terrible English and ask the same questions again and again.
