Excellent packaging by Muzikkon. Package had apparently undergone rough handling en route (shipment to Berlin, Germany). Nevertheless, my instrument (a McHugh 29) arrived safe and sound. Speaking of "sound": Even the tuning was still mostly intact and is now astonishingly stable after a just single day of gentle retuning.

my first Lute
My Lute arrived very promptly. Packaged securely. It came in a very nice padded case. With an extra set of strings.
As i am new to the Lute i had to pay attention to how i went about tuning it and any nuances that come with using friction pegs. After that I got it dialed in. The tone is beautiful. Strings are staying in tune as the strings find their place.
I am on my way to making this instrument mine and something i enjoy sitting down to and learning.
This instrument will take me far as i begin my journey into discovering the Lute
a good quality made instrument. Thank you.

I received this beautiful instrument three days ago, so I've had a chance to get used to it a little before writing to you.
As I've often read in your customer reviews, this lute is truly superb and apparently of impeccable quality.
I come from the world of classical guitar, so I am discovering this new feel and these new sounds, which I find enchanting.
When this lute was tuned and began to stabilize a little, which was not very easy, I was particularly surprised by the richness and power of its sympathetic resonances, which create a kind of “reverb” that it naturally carries within it.
It's very inspiring, and now it's up to me to take the time to try to master it.

It was my very first lute I have bought. It came on time. Unfortunatelly one gut fret was missing. Muzikkon immediately has sent full set of gut frets via express courier service. I would strongly recommend them as professional music store ever.

**Update review**
I reached out to Muzikkon regarding a breakdown of the shipping costs for this purchase. However, they have not responded to my request. We were charged $54.00 for shipping and three weeks later, we received an additional invoice for customs and brokerage fees of $19 from UPS.
We have seen other online sellers charge for shipping only to have COD terms when the items arrive (to show a lower item cost at purchase.

Due to recent changes in trade regulations, all shipments from the EU to the USA are subject to applicable customs duties and brokerage fees. These charges are set by local authorities and courier services and are the responsibility of the recipient upon import. Unfortunately, they are outside of our control.
As noted in the Shipping tab on our product pages and in our email correspondence with you, we are unable to pre-charge or collect customs duties or brokerage fees for customers outside the EU. We did receive a response acknowledging this information.

Two bodhráns to Germany!
I ordered 2 bodhráns and they were dispatched the following day. They arrived separately, but that was not Muzikkon's fault. I wasn't worried because I could follow both packages online and knew when they'd arrive. The quality of the instruments is exactly as described, well produced and robust. The packaging was also excellent - strong, well-taped and suitably labelled with 'Fragile' stickers. All in all, very much recommended! Thank you!

Dispatch within 48hrs....
Waiting nearly 14days on product.
Have had three failed delivery emails stating delivery "today" from GLS and now UPS.... Delivery driver arrived on Monday no parcel in GLS Van.... then Wednesday delivery scheduled, now update is no longer GLS but now UPS delivery....
Absolutely rediculous. Last time I purchase from Muzzikon. Will never recommend. 😡

Upon receiving your message, my colleague Dave attempted to contact you by phone, but unfortunately was unable to reach you. We wanted to inform you that we have contacted GLS to request an update on the delivery issue. In the meantime, we have sent you new drum heads via UPS Express delivery and as a goodwill gesture and to apologise for the delay, we have also included one extra drum head with your order.
We are sorry that the original delivery was delayed. Unfortunately, this was beyond our control, as GLS usually delivers within two working days in Ireland. We normally use An Post for deliveries within Ireland; however, due to recent delays with An Post, we opted to ship with GLS, which regrettably did not provide a better service on this occasion.
Once again, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. Rest assured, we are here to help and are happy to assist further if needed.
