I have joned money plus energy about thirteen months ago, because British gas was overcharging me, and when you call British gas you get foreign staff members,which does not understand a word of what your talking about. So money plus energy seems a better company which is based in Britain, and the staff workers are all british and much easier to understand. I havent had any problems with money plus e energy until now... I received an email from British gas and saying they're taking over my account since money energy plus are closing down.
Money energy plus did not contact me to let me know about this changes, and now theyre telling me to call British gas which i am not even with them. I am dissapointed about the poor service and professionalism. I feel let down by money plus energy.
I do not want to be with British Gas as they rip you off.

Looking forward to being able to switch from these next month, I used look after my bills and ended up with these, although price per unit is cheaper all the added charges are ridiculous, and results in no savings at all! I ended up aprox £130 in arrears and they wanted to up my DD from 170pm to 250pm to pay this off. I phonesd and asked to pay what I owe and leave my direct payments at 170, as I felt 250 pm was a bit excessive and unaffordable. The girl didn't want to agree, tried to say I couldn't pay what I owe, and my DD has to go up to 250 to cover my usage.... which was built up winter usage which the lower summer usage will cover the cost. As my overall yearly usage worked out average 170 pm the lower summer usage and same payment would mean it will be covered by the end of the full year. She didn't agree and insisted my usage had gone up permanently....frustrating call ended up that I could actually pay what I owed and leave my DD at 170!

Came to the door saying they would save me over £80. and it was a capped energy where you only pay a set amount every month for a year. Turns out they just slowly put your direct debit up! and it's not cheaper than my prepayment method. I cant wait for my contract to expire where I can change supplier without some convincing liar.

I switched to another as money plus energy put up my prices with no explanation what so ever no letters email etc..... few months later they email me telling me im in nearly 500 debit with them its taken them 3 months to tell me this. I'm a single mum with 3 children and felt very presured into paying it back monthly at a cost I cannot afford and threatening me saying if I don't pay it will be passed on to a debit collector not given me no other help I think its disgusting as I didn't even no I had this debt till 3 months letter!! Wish I never went with them in the first place

Got to these guys via look after my bills, surprise surprise it’s time to renew my contract and they want an extra 50% per month over the current tariff. I know energy prices have risen but 50% is total bs. I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them.

Been with this company a year . All seemed well , regular monthly requests for meter readings , adjustments made to monthly DDs as required by them .
Just moved on to their new tariff and have been told :
“ Our system automatically rejects any meter readings it feels are wrong - too high or too low . Unfortunately this means your electricity bill for the last year may be much higher than thought “ We cannot arrange a manual reading .
I suspect an office with 2 men and a boy in charge !
Go only with known companies - this one recommended by Look after my Bills

If i could I'd give 0 stars. Girl convince me to switch and informed me I'd lose my cold weather payments but save a lot of money. I set up a dd for £90 a month. First 3 months were fine then I got a charge for my bank for being in a overdraft because they tried to take £150. No notice, no explanation nothing. In the month of April last year in lockdown with myself a 5 kids at home my bill from boost was £88 and this year when I'm back out and kids are at school etc it's £150. They increased my bill by £60 month. So now I pay a lot more than before and I don't get my discount in the winter. I was most definitely duped by the young girl that got me to change. Then when I tried to switch because I am leaving I need going pay them £100 to do so. I can't compare them against anyone because the company doesn't show up. Wish I never switch. Don't do it people they will increase it and then take money for you to switch.

I changed to this company last year initially had no issues until recently with pre-payment meter, however, after the issue had been raised as a complaint the company were quick to resolve the issue. Cannot fault the customer service as they went above and beyond to reinstate gas supply into my property.

Fabulous and very informative information given to me regarding saving me and my family money on my Gas and Electric bills! The operator Kev was patient and lovely to chat with. I would highly rate this company!

DISAPPOINTED 3 months paying a direct debit for gas and electric after switching through lookaftermybills. Received an electricity bill from my previous supplier for £720. When I contacted money plus I was told that because the property was on a green deal they weren’t able to deal with this and the electricity had not been switched. Zero communication to tell me this. Absolutely furious that this was not picked up at the switch and no one communicated that this had occurred.

Easy, helpful and step by step guidance on how things should go during the switch. I found the process really simple.

Brilliant!! They actually WANT customers! Even us oldies and technophobes. They bent over backwards to make it easy for us. What a change to the money grabbing big boys who dont care a hoot if you pay over the odds AND make you do all their work for them AND charge you even more!! Try this, its absolutely the best thing we did for ages.
