Good quality product overall. It feels soft underfoot and doesn’t move around on the floor, which is great especially in a wet bathroom.

I was really looking forward to having these items in my new kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen was completed first and after the first time I used the kitchen drainer it stained and retained water and soaked right through making it not fit for purpose. NOT WHAT IT IS ADVERTISED AS DOING! Over time it started to loose colour on the edges and tried to contact customer service on 3 separate occassions and each time i received an automated email stating that my email was being reviewed and someone will contact me on 1-2 days. Fast forward to my bathroom being completed and the first time I used the bath mat is soaked right through and was not as advertised. I contacted them for a full refund on both items and still have not heard anything and probably won't.... fuming!!!

Before I tried the slim bath mat style, I had no idea how much I would enjoy it. Unlike my older one, it doesn't bunch up or get trapped under the door.

My old bathroom mat kept getting wet all day, which is why I bought one. After taking a shower, I noticed that this one immediately absorbs water because it is incredibly absorbent. At last, the floor surrounding the tub remains dry.

I gave a 2 star rating because I did receive the bath mat in a reasonable time frame. But the mat has been outside (on a covered deck) for a couple of weeks because it smells like a tire factory. I checked the website to see if there is instructions on how to get rid of the smell, but there are none.
“EDIT” I have now had this item for over a month and it has been outside to air out but still stinks beyond belief. The response of my first review says the smell was picked up in transit is bogus. I have read other reviews that do not mention the smell, I wonder if they have done anything to get rid of the smell.
I would like to return this item and receive a full refund, and have the shipping paid for.

This company is terrible! I vow to share to protect other consumers because upon ordering very expensive products, I waited over two weeks and the Postal Service was never sent the products.

I reached out for a refund prior to them shipping the products. Although I asked them NOT to send the products and refund me, they shipped the products anyway.

I will be out of the country and won't be there to receive the products and I no longer want to do business with them.

The customer service was the worse I have ever experienced. I will tell everyone I know and review every chance I get!

If 0 stars were an option, I would give them 0!

Update as of 01-05-2026...

The company has the nerve to respond to my review and I still haven't even got the product to make a return. (Order was placed almost 30 days ago)

Based on other reviews who knows if I'll ever even get it. Tracking info said it would be delivered last month. Now it just says the package is late.

I wonder if this is all just a scam at this point.

I was not happy with my order. One of the items was missing, although I was charged for it. I was disappointed in the size of the mats, and immediately asked for information on returning my entire order.

As of now, I have asked 3 times for this information and they refuse to provide it. It is not available on any of the online information pages, which they say can be found under Refund information. I’m ready to dispute this charge through my credit card, as I don’t know where to return these mats!

I’m been using my magic mats for a couple months now and I’m really quite impressed. They make the house a lot safer and easier for the whole family. The dish mat and kitchen floor mat is also performing very well. I used to have a kitchen mat that was memory foam but it got lumpy and actually ended up being less stable because it wasn’t totally flat.

All in all very satisfied with modrnizd and their products.

Ps. Make sure you order from the real website, there’s some fake ones out there it seems

Absolutely piece of crap nothing like the images, what else to expect from dodgy china as that's where it comes from.
Not worth more than £10 ...

Edit: they did provided a partial refund, otherwise i would have to ship it back to china and wait a lot longer. At no point the name China is said on the website or their policy return. For the price you pay you would expect amazing quality seeing that they advertise themselves as a Canadian company

Great products, I loved my magic mats and am super pleased with how effective they are. Customer service replied within 24 hours (I emailed them some questions before purchasing). I’ve seen some other brands pop up trying to impersonate them and I think some or all of the negative reviews are from people who mistakenly purchased from those other brands maybe? Personally I had a great experience with them :)

My mat has water stains on it. I have tried washing it in the bath with some kitchen spray, but, now when the mat gets wet it smells. I think I’m going to have to throw it away. Customer services are unhelpful.

I bought 2 bath mats and they are fine. I would not spend money on the counter dish mat. Within 10 days it was stained and because we hand wash some pots and pans the water went right through. I asked for a return but because it would need to go back to China at my expense they offered 75% refund and I keep the mat. Not what their website says. I took the offer and learned my lesson about made in China products.Buyer beware.

Never received. It’s been almost a month. Zero accountability. $68 but know people. Getting AG involved

Ordered mats in November inadvertently used PayPal, which I later found the company does not accept. I ordered with another card. In review of my PayPal statement the company had charged the account anyway. I never received the product. I received an email about the second order, with an expected receipt date of 7 to18 days. After the email, I received a text with tracking stating the item was coming from China and expected in April or May of 2025. The company is unresponsive to requests to contact and requests to correct billing issues.

The mats are not stain proof. After two months they look… skanky. I email them with a photo and they never responded. Update: They responded with
"try washing it in the washer" which contradicts their do's and don'ts advice not to use a washer to wash it.

Scam

As SOON as I placed my order the website no longer exists.

£60 gone. Thankfully I used Shopify so I can get money back.

Evil peeps. Incase they change their just stay away from anywhere selling 'magic mats' lol.

Ordered product, took 2 weeks to arrive, they sent the wrong product and now will not reply to emails, messages etc. so I can’t return the product or get my £44 back. This is a scam, do not buy from them.
