I have attempted to cancel my subscription in a variety of ways. Moboreader does not make the cancellation process easy. At least two of the contact emails for this company are invalid. I received a reply email stating I should cancel in-app, which I had already uninstalled. I reinstalled the app, contacted online chat for help and was sent to a page with a broken link and no way to cancel the subscription. When I sent a response email to the company, I received a duplicate email to the first, telling me to go in-app. I have attempted to contact the developer and the company listed doing business in the USA. My subscription apparently remains uncancelled. If I could give this app and this company a lower rating than one star, I would do so.

Eigentlich mag ich die bücher die angeboten werden. Aber wenn man die ledechallenge mitmacht und zwischendurch auch mal auf die Toilette geht, dann ist der Einsatz der Punkte einfach weg, da man die 3 Stunden nicht durchweg gelesen hat. Also Vorsicht bei den Angeboten. Ich bin darauf bitter reingefallen. Ich gebe die 999 Punkte NICHT wieder bekommen. Daher fällt meine Bewertung auch nur auf 3 Sterne.

This is a scam. Paying 100$ does not get you ad free reading as promised. The stories are trope, unlikely written by actual humans and usually have abrupt ending. Really not worth it.

SYSTEMATIC FRAUD: Fake “Unsubscribe Failed” Notifications

Same fraudsters as ReelShort and working with MoboReels. Do not use this app.

I had downloaded and deleted without any subscription the MoboReels-App. Never Moboreader, but I got charged by them weenkly after deleting the sister-fraud-app!

I wrote them after being charged 4 times illegally. They confirmed me my cancellation of my never existing subscription on 31.08.2026. MoboReader had sent an email saying “we could not process your unsubscribe request” – a fake excuse to keep me trapped. But the charges continued: -24.38 CHF every week (10.08, 17.08, 24.08, 31.08.2026).

When I tried again, they told me to “contact support Annie in the app” and “go to Settings” – endless circular loops while they keep billing me.

This is deliberate fraud, not a technical error. They ignore cancellation confirmations and use fake “failed” notifications to trap users into continuous charges.

Same company as ReelShort (MOBO Technology USA). Same theft infrastructure. They have stolen ~200+ CHF from me.

Apple: This app and all MOBO apps must be removed immediately. They are criminal fraud operations.

I cannot find out how to cancel this! It keeps charging me even though it won't let me read anything without wanting even more money. I need this gone, but cannot seem to make it happen!!!!! I'll probably have to cancel my card. THIS IS A RIP-OFF AND A SCAM!

La mia esperienza con BestReels è stata estremamente negativa e consiglio di prestare molta attenzione prima di effettuare qualsiasi pagamento.

Mi è stata presentata un’offerta da circa 10 € a settimana che mi ha fatto credere di sottoscrivere un abbonamento per poter continuare a vedere gli episodi. Solo successivamente ho scoperto che, per continuare realmente a utilizzare il servizio come mi aspettavo, veniva richiesto un pagamento di circa 24 € A SETTIMANA.

Se questa condizione fosse stata presentata in maniera chiara fin dall’inizio, non avrei mai effettuato il primo pagamento.

Ho quindi richiesto il rimborso dei circa 10 € pagati, ma mi è stato risposto che la somma sarebbe già stata “consumata” perché avevo visualizzato alcuni episodi. Il punto è che quegli episodi vengono utilizzati anche come contenuti promozionali e sono reperibili gratuitamente sui social: proprio questi contenuti mi avevano portata all’app.

Trovo questa modalità di presentazione dell’offerta estremamente fuorviante. Il problema non sono i 10 €, ma il principio: il consumatore dovrebbe sapere in modo chiaro, PRIMA di pagare, quale sarà il costo effettivo del servizio e cosa sta realmente acquistando.

Inoltre, almeno sul mio dispositivo, l’app impedisce di effettuare screenshot, cosa che rende anche molto difficile conservare una prova delle schermate e delle offerte visualizzate durante il processo di acquisto.

La mia esperienza personale è quindi: offerta poco trasparente, costi reali scoperti solo successivamente e rimborso rifiutato.

Consiglio a chiunque stia pensando di abbonarsi di verificare con estrema attenzione tutte le condizioni e il costo settimanale effettivo prima di pagare.

My experience with BestReels has been extremely negative, and I strongly recommend checking every detail before making any payment.

I was presented with an offer of approximately €10 per week, which led me to believe I was purchasing a subscription that would allow me to continue watching the episodes. Only afterwards did I discover that, in order to continue using the service as I expected, I was being asked to pay approximately €24 PER WEEK.

Had this been clearly presented to me from the beginning, I would never have made the initial payment.

I therefore requested a refund of the approximately €10 I had paid. My request was refused on the grounds that I had already “used” the payment by watching some episodes. However, those episodes are also used as promotional content and can be found for free on social media — which is exactly how I was led to the app in the first place.

In my opinion, the way this offer was presented was extremely misleading. This is not about €10; it is about transparency. Consumers should be clearly informed BEFORE paying what the actual cost of the service will be and exactly what they are purchasing.

Furthermore, at least on my device, the app prevents screenshots from being taken, making it very difficult to keep evidence of the offers and screens displayed during the purchase process.

My personal experience can therefore be summarized as follows: unclear offer, actual costs discovered only afterwards, and refund refused.

I strongly recommend that anyone considering this app carefully check all subscription conditions and the actual weekly cost before making any payment.

I keep getting charged 25 a in my bank and online it says I dont have an active subscription. This is not the way to hold subscription from clients. What a bunch of theifs.

Für 30 Sekunden Film muss ich Anfangs 3 Minuten Werbung schauen. Später werden es 2 XP 3 Minuten Werbung. Die letzten 4 Episoden kann ich nur schauen, wenn ich bezahle.
Absolut die schlechteste App, die es gibt. So spannend kann keine Geschichte sein.
Diese App wird unwiderruflich gelöscht 😡

Schlimm das man hier einen Stern geben muss um eine Bewertung zuschreiben.
Ich hatte eine Abo im Wert von 4,99€.Dieses hab ich, nach langem hin und her mit dem Kundenservice,endlich kündigen können.Dann wurden aber weiter Beträge im zweistelligen Bereich abgebucht.In Klärung mit Kundenservice und eine direkten Support keine Einigung.Fazit ich musste meine Karte sperren lassen und habe über meine Bank die Reklamation der Beträge eingefordert!
Finger weg von Moboreader!!!!

Frode.Le storie non terminano mai, non fate abbonamento SVIP!! Storie troncate, costi assurdi, non è possibile sapere quando saranno aggiornate. Pagare tanto per non vedere un finale, cancellerò l'app alla fine dell'abbonamento.

My experience was I paid for a week $28.99 and was reading one of the stories and it was supposed to be VIP access and it stopped at episode 60 and wouldn’t go any farther. I contacted them and told them that why did this happen and if it was going to be like this I was going to cancel my subscription every time I tried to go go past episode 60 it just stopped so thinking they were going to fix it. They canceled the subscription and did not pay me back my28.99 and left me in limbo not a very good app.

I did a trial but you still had to pay additional monthly coins! So I tried to cancel through all the channels it suggested on their website. They wouldn’t even respond to my emails. After months of frustration, I cancelled my bank card coz it was the only way to get rid of them. Never Again!! Buyer Beware 😑😑😑

Can't cancel. Have had to dispute charges with my credit card company. I would give them negative stars if I could.

Rubbish this app, don't waist your money

I do not have an active account or subscription anywhere that I can see on any device or with any email account that I have, yet I have been getting charged $19.99 every single Sunday for several months now.

I have tried contacting their customer support services multiple times with no responses whatsoever. I'm not even sure if or when I may have signed up for a subscription. The only thing I can think of is I may have signed up for a free trial at one point to see if I liked the app, but deleted the account and the app not long after. However, even without an active account, the charges continue.

It is extremely frustrating to not have any reliable way to contact the company and to get the charges to stop. I have had to reach out to my credit card company to try to resolve the issue that way. I would not recommend getting involved with this company or their apps in any way.

Impossible to cancel subscription. The book reading app says contact moboreader. Moboreader site says contact thru app, but there's no way to see your "subscription " within the app, and no link to customer service. No record of purchase in either app. The invoice/receipt provides a fake/invalid email address that ends in .cn instead of .com. Furthermore, while I was enjoying a story, it suddenly started contradicting itself from previous chapters and making zero sense plot-wise. This is clickbait pure and simple. I am having to go through my credit card company to block them.

L'app, oltre ad essere Pay 2 Read, è pure ficcanaso visto che, per monitorarti in giro per il web, raccoglie e collega a te l'ID del dispositivo ove l'app è installata.

Nonostante le recensioni, ho scaricato l'app ed iniziato diverse "storie", concentrandomi per curiosità su una sola (quella con meno capitoli).
Ero preparata ad aspettare i buoni giornalieri, pubblicità ed attese, avendo deciso dall'inizio di non voler pagare nulla.
Considerando che i capitoli, spesso, sono formati da poche pagine vedere che alcune novelle (seppure carine) sono composte da diverse centinaia non invoglia a continuare.
Arrivata a circa 20 capitoli dalla fine (?), non solo i buoni per il riscatto dei capitoli sono diventati assurdi, ma i capitoli stessi aumentano allontanando così la fine.
A questo punto, riscontrata la volontà "truffaldina" (perché nemmeno il sorbirsi la pubblicità è più sufficiente), ho deciso di tenermi la curiosità e di cancellare l'app, inoltrando la recensione relativa.

Absolutely horrific and a complete scam. I am having to cancel my card and get a new one as they are constantly charging me daily. I’ve tried email, cancelling all the different charges and nothing works.
