I placed an online order for an item showing as available, then received a call stating the item wasn't something they sold at any of their branches. Poor website inventory management and both of our time wasted.

Very Poor Service, purchased online and was contacted with a date of delivery Thursday 20th August, date of delivery arrived and taking leave from work and also arranging help, it turned PM and I contacted MKM North to be told my ton bag of stone will be with me in the afternoon. It never arrived and they couldn't be bothered to contact me to explain why not. Very poor service MKM North.

Awful service. Ordered caber moisture resistant chipboard flooring. Received a different brand and unmarked board. Stacked outside unprotected. Had to move indoors and waited 2 weeks for boards to be uplifted! A simple phonecall advising they couldn't supply my order would have prevented hassle for everyone. Certainly won't be using this company again!!

The manager eventually called me back, but rather than addressing the lack of communication or handling the situation professionally, he took her side and validated her behaviour. When I expressed how disgusting it was to be spoken to in that manner as a paying customer, my concerns were completely dismissed.
To top it off, I still have not received my order or a refund. Appalling service and zero accountability. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere.

I needed a new boiler fitted. The engineer did the selecting of items on my behalf, only requiring a final payment. Therefore I don’t have much feedback in terms of the earlier process.

What I am reviewing is surrounding delivery. Though I was given a date of delivery, that was the full extent of the information. No exact time. This resulted in me missing the arrival of the delivery. But there wasn’t too much bother as the items were left on my front garden. But after this received no confirmation that the order was delivered.

I feel overall the contact received by MKM was lacking.

This was my third order from MKM Aldershot. Nick was so helpful on the phone and the delivery driver who dropped off the materials each time has been first class. I will use MKM Aldershot as my first choice when it comes to building materials. I would like to thank all the staff at MKM Aldershot. The Delivery was from Aldershot to Eastleigh.

Excellent service from MKM. The gravel was delivered promptly, exactly as ordered, and the delivery driver was friendly and helpful. Great quality material and a smooth, hassle-free delivery. Would definitely recommend MKM and use them again.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from MKM Building Supplies!!

I tried contacting customer service by phone several times, but no one responded, making it impossible to solve my issue. I then called my local branch regarding the return of unopened construction materials, only to have my return rejected stating it's local branch policy, which I was not informed of at the purchase time, nor it's available online.
What was even more frustrating was the advice I received from the local branch staff. I was told to spread the leftover cement and sand around my garden or simply throw them away. I found this advice completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I expected practical solution and a refund, not to be told to dispose of perfectly usable materials in such a careless manner.
Overall, the lack of customer support, poor communication, and unwillingness to help have left me with a very negative impression of your company.

We called into the store and took a look at the flooring and wall tiles, I was indecisive regarding the flooring as the sample was small, the lady appeared helpful and offered to get a larger sample to view, I passed on my number and waited a few days to hear back, to no avail, I then phoned the store chasing this up, I was told my another member of staff she’d get back to me, I waited several days and still nothing, I then called back into the shop, a gentleman took my number and emailed the lady to give me a call when she arrived to work the following morning.
4 weeks have now gone by, no correspondence what so ever, I find this very rude and not good customer service.
We had a full kitchen, hallway, Utility and en-suite to complete, business you could have had.

Prices are competitive, however local delivery takes a few days , would be great if the app tells you when its going to be delivered, on the upside local delivery is free.

Where to start, I usually use howarth timber who have never failed me, unfortunately this time the only place I could find what I was after was mkm building supplies, so I ordered 179.4 linear meters of t&g matchboard and was a bit surprised to find they had charged me £588.88 for the 151 linear meters that i actually recieved, when I had been given a price online of £493.19 so unsurprisingly I was short when I came to finishing, back to mkm for some extra, non in stock, but one of our other stores 47 mins away has plenty, off I go only to arrive and be informed sorry we don't actually have any it must be a computer glitch, but another store a further 70 mins back past the first store where I started do have some, simply put my £493 matchboard actually stands me at £589 plus one day lost wages plus 150 miles driven

I’d just like to say a very BIG thank you to everyone at the Burnley store. Especially the guys who delivered the gravel to our house today and my daughter’s house yesterday. Such amazing wonderful and so polite, always have a smile on their faces which brightens our day. Excellent customer service too, fast delivery . Thank you and hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

only just discovered this company as I was looking for a specific width piece of timber. Prices were good and branch was local to me so I give them a try. Sad to say buy 1st and last time I will use them. Had me waiting ages to collect my order, no confirmation that order was ready to collect, I had to call up to check. Timber is terrible, specific piece I needed is twisted badly and near unusable.

I wish I could give more * MkM are a great firm to buy things from we bought all our patio flags from them. Sam was a great help. I have been in touch with them today regarding internal doors. The man that helped me today was superb. Very helpful staff well done MKM

I’ve used MKM many times for building supplies and am always so impressed by the service. The staff have always been so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The delivery drivers go above and beyond to provide a great service. Thanks to Gary for navigating our tricky access down a narrow country lane - it’s much appreciated! I would highly recommend.

Was after few symphony kitchen cabinets. Before placing the order, I visited the store seeking advice and assistance. Unfortunately, there was nobody available to help me on the day, so I left my contact details and was assured someone would contact me. I never received a call back! After several further attempts to obtain assistance online, I eventually received a quotation containing only three line items.

At the time, I had provided details of my existing kitchen, including photographs and the finish of the doors already installed. As I only required two additional cabinets to match the existing kitchen, I reasonably expected the quotation and order process to ensure the products supplied would be suitable and consistent with what was already in place.
There were no questions asked about my order by sales person, just a plain 3 line quote supplied with no additional details or T&Cs

When the order arrived, several issues became apparent:
• The cabinets supplied were white. The cabinet colour was not specified on the quotation, and as I had provided details of my existing grey kitchen, I naturally assumed the cabinets would match the doors and drawers.
• A set of cabinet legs was missing from the delivery.
• Two handles were supplied despite not being required.
• The plinth arrived damaged and scratched, making it unsuitable for use.
• Screw cover stickers were supplied in grey. If the cabinets are supplied in white as standard, it is unclear why the cover stickers are not also white.

When I raised these concerns, I was informed that white cabinets are supplied as standard. However, this was never explained to me during the sales process, nor was it detailed on the quotation. Had I received the advice and communication I attempted to obtain from the store, I would have been able to make an informed decision and ensure the order met my requirements.

I was also disappointed by the response I received from the store, which simply stated that the items could not be returned because they were bespoke made. There was no greeting, acknowledgement of the issues raised, or attempt to address my concerns. If products are being supplied as bespoke items, I would expect a much more detailed quotation and a thorough explanation of all available options to ensure the order is correct before manufacture.

Furthermore, despite reporting the missing legs immediately, there was no prompt resolution. As a result, I had to source replacement legs elsewhere in order to proceed with the installation. It has now been over a week, and communication from the store remains extremely poor.

After complaints from as sent to customer service I received the email from Mansfield branch that cabinets are not refundable, end off.
No acknowledgment that their sales team have clearly failed.
Was promised a refund for missing legs; week later still no sign of it…
I am very disappointed with both the quality of service and the products received. The price paid does not reflect the level of customer service, communication, or attention to detail that I would reasonably expect.

Bought roof batons from Ripon branch. They were delivered first thing next day so I would like to deeply recommend their services for their reliability, correspondence and punctuality.
